I cannot speak too highly of Sound Energy. Several years ago when we moved to Darien the real estate agent recommended them as a fuel oil supplier. A couple of years later we had a different outfit do an annual inspection of our central air conditioning prior to summer and they told us of a “faulty part” that would cost $2,000 to replace. The explanation didn’t sound right and we decided to get a second opinion from Sound Energy and were told that no such “repair” was required. Ever since we have found them honest and reliable. When they make a repair I feel confident it was done right and fairly.

Our house has some peculiar oddities to both AC and Heating systems and to work on these systems requires navigating inhospitable DIRTY crawl spaces and hard to get to attic spaces. All Sound energy techs are professional, friendly, and willing to spend additional time explaining to me everything they need to do and why. When I recently called to tell Walt how good his guys are and how much we appreciate all of them -Mark, John, Brian, & Jeff- Walt told me they have worked together for at least 10 years- Thats impressive; they are professional and friendly to us - the customer- and they work well together as a company. That has not been my experience with other HVAC companies in this area. Also -we just did a big job with them replacing our AC units- Walts proposal was the best of 3 proposals by a substantial margin. He described what we needed and most importantly what we didnt need. His expertise ( he is also a building inspector, a valuable perspective for anyone thinking about selling their house) is also much appreciated.I highly recommend Sound Energy. SM

They were able to schedule an assessment visit within hours of my initial call; I had their proposal and quote by end of that same day. Installation was completed a few days later and done in a single day to a very high standard. The home heating oil business is more complicated than you think. If its keeping your new or older oil burner, tank and oil lines trouble free throughout the year you need professional service by trained mechanics. Sound Energy is a second generation business right here in Darien.Its not just heating oil. Sound Energy adds special additives to absorb moisture and prohibit mold growth (sludge) in your oil tank. Controlling water and sludge means extended tank life which prevents leaks and ground contamination. Cleaner fuel means less clogged filters, fuel pressure and ultimate burning effiecently to not soot the inside of your furnace extending burner life and using less oil.Professionals make it look easy, its not. Call Sound Energy theyre the best in the business.

Sound Energy is a great company to deal with. They are responsive and courteous. I never have any problem and always get someone when I call. After hours, theyll call back quick after talking to a live operator and send a tech if its an emergency. I was recently in a pickle as my oil went out overnight. Walt called first thing in the morning and had his guys at my house, back up and running before my family woke up to notice! THANKS SOUND ENERGY!
