This is one of the best and most honest auto service and towing companies I know of! Jon, the owner, is a really good, honest and decent man! He’s a passionate car guy, and tells it straight how it is. You can’t go wrong with this company for any of your auto need. Can’t say enough good things about them!

First time using this company, the guys were very careful loading the car. The price was worth it from Davenport to Moline.Unlike another company that starts with an F that charged me $80 for a 3 mile trip to my houseWould highly recommend this company.

Honestly, these guys saved me. I broke down on I-80 between my drive from MA to OR. It was a Saturday at 5 PM so I was looking at minimum waiting until Monday morning for service. It was 90 degrees out and I had my small dog with me. To top it off it was my birthday! The owner towed my car and then offered to take a look. He found out it was battery corrosion. His mechanic was stopping in and was able to clean up my battery after hours so I could get back on the road. Amazing and friendly service! I was able to make it to Des Moines to celebrate. Thank you so much!!!

Super quick response time. Locked keys in car and were there within 20 minutes using AAA. Got keys out super quickly without damage.

They towed our car to the shop only to later find out they bent the tie rod. It didnt come up on the computer as that was the issue so we took it to a shop where they told us we needed to take it to the dealer and they through checking everything out found the problem which then cost us $800. We called them after the repair and they offered us a credit in parts but not labor and got nothing back in money. Like we would us them again after they broke our car!

Great service. I set up a tow with AAA and the service it was assigned to canceled the tow without letting Me or AAA know. After after 3 1/2 hours in sub zero weather I call. They can’t explain it. They call around and AART is the only one to step in and help. They responded quickly and were very professional. I thank them.

After over 400 miles of driving our car started to hesitate, lose power and vibrate. We pulled off I 74 and realized there was a serious problem. We could not go on. AAA sent Cody with Action towing and he was so kind and professional. He not only towed our car but helped us get situated for the evening. We recommend this service highly and are very thankful for the help we received during this very stressful time!

After a very long, stressful and frustrating experience with an unexpected breakdown on the interstate and a not great experience with roadside assistance, Action Auto Repair and Towing was assigned. John was an absolute angel and had no idea. He went well above and beyond to do everything in his power to make my situation better. There truly are good people in this world. Their serviceman John came down to Cedar Rapids from cedar falls in order to give a tow and ended up fixing our problem on the spot!! And on Christmas Eve to top it off! Absolutely amazing service and employees!!

Quick and easy, reasonably priced. Showed up in about 10 minutes to tow my car. I wasn’t aware they did repairs, but will use them for that in the future. If it’s anything like the tow service, it’s 5 stars as well.

I’ve dealt with dozens of mechanics over the years and none can compare. Jon takes pride in his work and his diagnostic skills are above the dealerships without the bank breaking rates. His shop is always clean and waiting area is inviting and very comfortable. He takes time to explain what your vehicle needs are in a language that’s very understandable. Jon also finishes all of my vehicles in a very timely manor. Best thing that could’ve happened to the West end of Davenport.

Called Action towing at 2 am, he came out pretty quickly took my car to his shop. Had it fixed up and on the road by noon the next day. Great service and the best rates I wouldve gotten around here

My wife and autistic daughter broke down on I 80 West near Davenport on her way from Michigan to Idaho pulling a U-Haul trailer. Action was the tow service dispatched by my roadside service, and they were also able to diagnose and repair my vehicle same day. They worked late until 9:30 PM the same day to get here back on the road which of course was very much appreciated.

I pretty often check Google reviews when going some place, but have never had an experience worthwhile enough to review about myself until I went to Action Auto. John is a stand-up guy and straight-shooter who did honest work on my truck and I already have recommended him to multiple people face-to-face. I just moved to the area and couldnt be more thankful to find a mechanic who I know is going to be working in my best interest.

In the Quad Cities for business. My truck broke down, wasnt even sure where I was! I was referred to Action . They picked me & the truck up within 15 minutes on a Saturday night. These guys were a Godsend!! We were In from out of town, our car breaks down and to make it worse it’s a Sunday evening and the storms descended upon Bettendorf and Davenport. They towed us to the shop and actually willing to fix it that night but of course “power out all over!” They went above and beyond as well as fixed the car ASAP at a decent great price! They helped me out when my G35 started misfiring during a long road trip from Colorado to Virginia. The tow arrived really quick, the owner was not only professional and to the point, but also a nice and understanding guy. At the shop they were able to start diagnosing, ordering the defective part, and replacing it in record time. These guys know their stuff. We were back on the road and didnt miss any Airbnb reservations we had made for our road trip. Really glad we called them up that day. If I lived in Iowa I would definitely be back and recommending them.

17hrs of driving only stopped for fuel I pulled up on my last top-up to complete my drive @ 3:30am when exhaustion kicked in and using just color code to choose fuel type I accidentally filled gas in my diesel truck! Called around for pricing on towing and repairs. Action Auto gave me a guesstimated quote that was way under the 6 previous calls I made. My truck was in and out with the most amazing customer service, professionalism and pricing ever.

Jon is my son and I could not be more proud. I live in CLinton but work in Davenport. One day at quitting time my car would not start, he came to the rescue and changed my battery on the spot. I know he takes pride in his work and will treat everyone likes his Mom.

We were on vacation, and on a Saturday toward evening after a hike around 5:30 pm., my car showed low tire pressure. So checked my tires, and found a allen wrench, in one of my tires. Of all things, that was a surprise. So Googled the nearest station to see if could get it fixed. Action Auto came up. So drove there and they happen to be still open, even though they normally close early on Saturday. I was worried the tire may have been ruined. But they took the time to help us out and was able to fix the tire so we could finish out our vacation with family. I am truly grateful if their great service and professionalism. You can definitely count on them.

My car wouldn’t start, so I had it towed to Action. They started working on it around 6pm and it was done by 8:45pm (needed a new starter). These guys were so awesome. I would recommend them to anyone.

Action Towing go out of their way to help their customers. They go above and beyond!! Dan has gone as far as to change an alternator while on the back of his flatbed to get a couple from out of town back home on a Sunday. He also has worked on many cars in the middle of the night to get the customer going again. These customers will not be repeat customers nor will they tell their friends and neighbors about how well they were treated because they are from out of town. It doesnt matter everyone is treated with amazing kindness. This business is also honest. Whether it be a tow call or a mechanic job they are honest and prices are the best around. Fast service had me towed to the shop within 10-15 minutes of calling.

I seen them on Facebook, after someone hit our truck and ran I contacted them that day. They picked up the truck. Cleaned up the mess and gave us a fair price for a totaled out pick up...thank you very much.And very polite.

We were on trip from Pennsylvania and had a problem with the wheel. For them to take it in and fix it it in 3 hours, I thought was good and the price was reasonable.

Jon from Action Auto Repair is extremely helpful and reasonable! After HORRIBLE work and customer service from Theisens on Brady St, in davenport, I took my truck to Action Auto Repair and Jon not only diagnosed the problem, but was able to show exactly where the problem was, and fixed it the same day after 3 weeks of back and forth with Theisens. Jon went out of his way to not only fix it but, printed out pictures showing the original issue, and drew out a diagram how things should have been wired up. He even offered to go to court with me, for a pending suit against Thesiens. Extremely fair and honest. I can say I have found my new mechanic, and will be the only place I take my vehicles from now on. Highly highly recommend!! Thanks again Jon, for all of your service and help!

Ive visited this place a total of two times. None were enjoyable.1) My car was towed because the joint broke on the wheel. AAA refered me to him. Went to pick it up.2) Literally ten minutes later. Made it a block. Was assured that it was fixed and drove out of the lot. Shortly after it was discovered that my car is still very messed up. Will probably not be going back to get it fixed. Dont go here massive scam.Update: ultimately went to a different place and got the issue fixed.
