This is the auto shop that I regularly use for maintenance. This shop will do the regular maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations as well as major maintenance such as transmission issues and door panel replacements. They usually have my car done in a day (depends on the issue its having) which is part of the reason why I go to them. I also feel like the techs actually listen to me which can be rare considering Im a woman. Theyre able to evaluate my car based on the history Ive given them and give me their diagnosis of what the problem is. They have a very high rate of correct diagnosis for car issues. The staff overall is very welcoming and kind. They are willing to explain the inner workings of issues that the average person wont know which I appreciate. The main staffer behind the front desk is especially good at customer service and makes me feel very welcome in the shop. There have been times when the front desk person, Leroy, is gone and someone else is present. Theyre not quite as good at Leroy, and I usually wait until hes back to take my car in. In comparing this shop to the other mechanics and shops Ive visited, I feel confident that the work on my car is done with quality rather than quantity.

I am honestly excited to have found a trustworthy auto shop! Staff is thorough, honest, and friendly. I would recommend QC Auto to anyone. 10/10! As long as I live in the Quad Cities QC Auto will have my business.

Called and talked to Scott. He referred me to a tow truck driver to get my car in. Got it in fixed and back all within like 6 hours or so. Very professional and helpful. I also wasnt pressured into paying for extensive repair when it really isnt needed for my situation.Will be back for sure!

LeRoy at QC auto service is the best. We were traveling from Michigan to Colorado. While stopping in Davenport we encountered car trouble. I called QC auto and Leroy gave us a towing service to call. We had the car towed to QC Auto. The car came off the tow truck and into the garage. They had the car fixed and back on the road in a hour. They were friendly and efficient.

Couldnt recommend QC auto more!! Ive taken my car here several times since I relocated to the area and its been great everytime. Its hard to find a trustworthy car shop, especially for someone like me who doesnt know much about cars. Ive been using these guys for over three years. Scott has always been my go guy. He checks every inch of the vehicle to make sure everything is in working order. He is prompt on getting the vehicle in the bay. He calls to let me know what wrong and is aiways fair when it comes to the cost. U need a mechanic goes see him !

If I can give 0 stars I would I usually go to this place i drive an hour just to go get my car fix. I went in to get my breaks done and the prices was crazy 380.00 just for the rear breaks. I called another place. In they said they can fix all my breaks for that price. So I called to let them know I was picking up my car. When I picked up my car I was expecting to pay the fee for just looking at my car. They said free of charge I was happy and was thankful. When I got in my car and start driving I really couldnt stop my car. Now my car was able to stop before I went to this place. As I was driving I realized they messed with my breaks I dont understand why would you mess with someone life like that what if I didnt go get my car fix and just drive home could of got in an accident on the highway. I recommend some people to go here. I will tell them dont what you guys did was dangerous and unsafe. Save yall money and go to peats wheels.

Took my car to Dale’s service center On Locust and the guy tried to charge me 1400 for a sub frame +1000 for labor plus $149 for one tire plus $160 for Wheel alignment Grand total 2800 “NEVER”Call the junkyard found the piece in Eldridge brand new for 300 something dollars call QC and they only charged me 500 to put it on, seen other problems and took care of it for me power steering wheel alignment etc. grand total with those guys the best mechanics in town $1110 I’m from Milwaukee long as I’m in Iowa QC auto is officially My Mechanics.. just left an hour ago already told five people lol Thanks guys, you guys are truly a blessing

The mechanic I had was named Scott from the Davenport location, he did excellent work, was honest and extremely helpful. He gave me all the information I needed to know for the work he did and potential future work. I will definitely be going again for any future problems. Ive been taking my truck to Joe for service for the last year. I found was getting harder and harder to get appointments at dealerships. Can’t say enough good things about Scott and the shop. We called in a panic on a Saturday and Scott made time to see our vehicle first thing Monday. He kept me updated throughout the entire process and worked diligently to solve a problem that has been going on since October. He was up front about what the car needed and what the price would look like. For once, we weren’t pressured into multiple fixes that we didn’t want or need. Went here for an alignment, it was bad. After their alignment, my tires were rubbing on the mudflaps. Their first recommendation was to buy new mudflaps! Well, since I needed to drive it for a while, I removed them to have more clearance. My tires were then rubbing on the inner fender! This turned out to be the case on both sides of the vehicle. This definitely should have been noticed by a competent technician. Yes, I was eventually told to take it back to have them take another look. At that point however, especially because they couldnt get me in for days, I decided to not let them touch my vehicle again and get it done properly.Update: Its understandable that things to do not always go as you believe they should, however how a company deals with those issues can make a huge difference as well. I received a call from Craig regarding my experience. He listened to and addressed all my concerns. I believe he went above and beyond trying to make sure that I was satisfied and happy as he resolved the issue. Great job on his part.

I brought my car here a few weeks ago, and Im so glad to have found such a reliable place to repair my cars wheel and rear brakes issues. The service manager was excellent in explaining what was in need of repair as well as providing me with suggested repairs that werent as dire. He also saved me $$$ along with any future headaches I would have had anywhere else. If youre searching for a place thats honest and affordable, stop by QC Auto Service. Diagnosis was free & they fixed my car up in 1 day. Because the repairs were pricey, they offered a great payment plan that works with my tight budget.

Last summer my AC went out. My usual mechanic was booked and needed AC immediately so I took it to QC Auto Repair since it was close. They changed the Compressor and Condenser for around $1500 which I thought was very high. When I got my vehicle back the AC never got very cold. 10 months later after not using AC all winter I turned it on and AC wasn’t working so I called them and then brought it it for them to look at as my parts were still under warranty. After a day they called and said I was just low on Freon. I tried arguing that it shouldn’t be low if it was filled less than a year ago and they insisted. So I take it in and they charge me another $140 to fill it with Freon. It worked about a day then no cold air. Took it back to them again and now they say my hose from Compressor to Condenser has a leak. So now it was gonna be close to $800 to change the hose and charge me again for the Freon. I said F that and took it to my usual mechanic in Silvis and they fixed the problem for $350. They are a rip-off and don’t stand by their work.

Excellent service and work. We appreciate how Tim kept us updated on the work that needed to be done, provided us with a timeline for the work, and an accurate estimate of the cost. When my husband had a question after the work was complete, Tim responded quickly to resolve it. Would highly recommend.

They did an amazing job on CRV...highly recommend for brake line replacement they replaced three lines and picked it up the next day. I will be returning with more of my vehicles my Honda stops on a dime now!

Not bad. Been dealing with them for a few years now. A bit pricy but good customer service. Joe there at the front desk is the only person Ill deal with. My car still makes a noise after I took it there and joe said to bring it in and hell take a look at it so well see where that goes. Ill update this listing after I take it back. As of now 3 out of 5.

We have spent plenty of money of numerous repairs they have never steered us wrong. Normally they are reasonable and fair. On this occasion however could far from that. We took in our car because wheel was going up down right and left when shaken by hand. They said it was a wheel bearing that needed replacement. Having common automotive knowledge, we knew that that could be very unlikely. We asked if they could step outside 6ft outside there door to confirm but they refused. We trusted there word and unfortunately lack of knowledge figuring they are in to automotive business and know best. Now they are saying it is a control arm that could of been very easily Diagnosed if they would just stepped outside. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this shop because there lack of knowledge unwillingness to work with customer and refusal to own up there there own mistakes.Edit: Also when they replaced the radiator they didn’t replace the antifreeze, flush or fill to the proper level.

Leroy and Ryan are my heroes. I showed up at their door 7:30am on a Friday, told Leroy what was going on with my car, and he took me to work so they could look the car over. Called me and fortunately it wasnt too serious. Got my car back and so grateful to them. I will never take my car any place else. They are the best!

QC Auto Service is the first place that I have brought my car that I feel I can really trust. They do great work, they are trustworthy and they have such friendly customer service. I got quotes for my car from two other shops, and QC Auto was not only the most affordable, but they also took the time to actually explain everything to me and let me know what was the most important to have done. I needed work done to my car as soon as possible, and they stayed on the phone with me to help me figure out the best and quickest way I could get my car to them in order for them to start working on it right away. They even offered to provide a ride to wherever I needed to go while they worked on my car. I was also able to go to whichever location was the most convenient for me to have the work done that I needed. I will continue going to them, and I highly recommend to all!!

I came in to schedule an oil change and the owner was very charismatic and friendly. He offered to change my oil the next day for only $20. I was very impressed by this reasonable price. Im glad I found a good place to change my oil!

My my experience with Tom and the rest of the staff has been outstanding. First I had a problem with a pothole and they replace my tire. While we were there Tom looked at my wifes Jeep and he agreed with her that two new tires would be an excellent idea. We made an appointment for 2 days later and they were ready when I showed up with the Jeep. They even want us to come in within 6 to 10 days just to check the lugnuts. I have never heard of this before. But since its included in the price and its on my paperwork highlighted I think Ill drop in sounds important. I plan on recommending QC Auto service Im continuing to go there myself.

I took my vehicle there around ten years ago. I was looking to get one of those multi-point inspection checkups on the car so if they found any leaks or issues, they could take care of it before it turned into a serious problem. I figured it was the proper thing to do for routine maintenance.I remember I walked in and there wasn’t anybody at the front desk. I believe a mechanic walked through he waiting room. He stopped and asked if I had been helped. I asked him about doing a maintenance checkup, and wanted to see if he had any information that I needed to know.Well, instead of taking the time to try to win me as a potential customer, he asked me in a very snotty tone, “well, is there anything WRONG with your vehicle?” Suddenly I felt like I had asked him the wrong question and needed to think quick on my feet to recover the conversation. I believe I rephrased my question with a little more detail than the first time I asked. I was really just trying to get information.After my second attempt, the guy treated me with even more contempt and disrespect by telling me in his dismissive and snotty tone, “if there’s nothing wrong with your vehicle, then you don’t need to fix it.”He walked off shaking his head without waiting for me to respond. I felt his tone and standoff-ish behavior was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. He may have been having a bad day, but I felt that I had done nothing wrong to be treated like that as a potential customer. I guess I could have spoken to someone else, but at that point, I just didn’t care anymore.That was my first impression of QC Auto Service. I have never taken my car there since, and I will NEVER take my car there to get it serviced. They will never have my business. EVER. PERIOD.Edit in response to the owner: Yes, this is a review about a visit from 10 or so years ago. The experience was so unprofessional, belittling and uncalled for, that I felt your company didn’t deserve a second chance. I felt it was an indication of how things operate with the company’s customer relations. I still feel that way to this day. Ive been going here about 15+ years. The costumer service is great. They get you in and out in a reasonable time. Never had an issue with any work they have done to any of my vehicles...... Most definitely recommend this spot over any one else!

Took my car in to get brakes worked on. They insisted I needed a brake flush after realizing my squeeky brake pads were actually still good. I agreed because the brakes did feel a little loose. The mechanic told me he couldnt bleed out one rear brake because it was seized up. This was after I had already paid full price. I immediately notice the brakes arent any tighter than before. Not sure what I paid for.TO MAKE THINGS WORSE, about 3 weeks later I notice that the mechanic didnt bother to tighten one of the lug nuts on my rim, and it was missing. That alone should deter anyone from going here. There are shops in the QC that would never give a customers car back with loose lug nuts, Id suggest one of those.

Recommended to me by a couple of friends and glad they did. They got the job done quickly and effectively and they were almost half the costs of the dealership. Great service and they were friendly and took car of me and my car. Highly recommended!

I always have great service when I go there. They are very professional yet personable. Dan and the gang always take care of me and my car. They will give me a ride home and pick me up. One time my tire had gone flat and they came out to my work and got my car and then picked me up after work. They always work me in. They will try and find the best deal for me. It was actually the Bettendorf location.

Extremely dissatisfied:Had an 8:30 appointment for repairs. After dropping off my car called at 1:00 to get a status update. I was told my car was complete and being aligned. I show up at 3:30 to pick my car up. It had not moved. In 7 hours, nothing had been done to it. The manager had a tech top off fluids as a courtesy, the tech turned my car over to me without latching the hood. I see no reason to ever go back here again. The only thing they did in 7 hours was leave me with a car in an unsafe condition.

These guys are AMAZING! not only did they fix my car with reasonable pricing, they also let me borrow a car while mine was being worked on. Excellent customer service.

They finally fired the bad employee, hopefully this doesnt happen again.

I have had my sons vehicles in here several times and have dealt with Tim Stewart personally and he had always been straight forward and honest with us and bent over backwards to do it within our budget.. I would trust his judgement on a repair before my own and I have been wrenching on cars for over 40 years....He has an expansive knowledge that is beyond what most have.. Take your vehocle here and it will be done right..

After having terrible service at the dealership I purchased my car I went I QC Auto Service and had exceptional service. I called Monday and they had my car good as new Tuesday afternoon. I had a bad wheel bearing in my 2016 Jeep Patriot. They didnt try to push anything on me, straight shot the problem and took care of it right away. Prices were fair and they even shuttled me to work that morning while my car was being fixed.

Ive been taking my vehicles here for 20 years. They are straight shooters, never pushing unnecessary repairs and their work is always spot on. My car had intermittent starting issue. Great customer service from Josh and Tyler! A lot of work done in a day, was given a ride home and always kept in the loop about time frame and pricing with no added pressure about services i didnt need!

Went to Lujack to get my car checked out-turned out it was about $1,200 worth of work on it, so I went to QC Auto to get a second opinion. Not only did they tell me everything that needed to be done, and what didnt, but they saved me $600! Staff was very nice and let me borrow a car while the work on my vehicle was being done. Definitely staying with these guys for oil changes, and any other auto parts that need to be replaced/fixed.

Will definitely be back to QC Auto. Broc was a great deal of help. I went to the dealership and was quoted $1400. I shopped around and hit the jackpot! Not only were there things that didnt need to be done but Broc quoted me $800!!!! These guys here are about quality work and customer service. Car was making a clunking sound. Told them to fix it so they replaced my struts. It still clunks. Ive taken it there twice to stop a transmission fluid leak. Charged full price both times and I still have a leak. They wont take any responsibility and dont fix the problem.

Had taken my car in for full car check up. Paid $50 to tell me I needed an oil change because the oil sticker was past due.....ummm I thought those things were checked. Needless to say, I was told no major problems except the brake issue I knew about....I cant tell you how much Ive paid for repairs since for things that should have been noticed. Would not recommend.

I recommend to anyone who visits this place to do price research on the parts that these people want to replace. They either overprice the the auto parts or charge you for something they didnt even replaced and it was just a quick fix. They would use words like The whole part is broken, The whole assembly needs to be replaced, Let me check my local autopart supplier but yet never give you names or parts receipts.These individuals charged me $300 for a fix that didnt even take more then an hour and they claimed the ordered parts somewhere at a high cost and when i told them that i could buy my own parts from well stablished autoparts stores, they refused to work with me. I will never take my vehicles to get it fix there, they scam you out of your hard earned money.

I initially had a few issues with the service which might have been more of a communication issue. Since then I have spoken to the owner and a manager a few times and have observed that they are extremely passionate about their work and take a lot of pride in what they do. I will highly recommend them.

Have had okay luck with them before. The week of Thanksgiving I needed some repairs done and just okayed so I could move along with my holiday. After later reviewing my bill they charged me $70+ for diagnostics and $200+ for labor for 3 hrs of work. This is the statement I okayed but thats still unreasonable. After leaving this review they called to see if they could do something to make it better. They offered two free oil changes. Which promoted me to raised my review to three stars.

I Took my Dodge Ram 1500 there to have them install my upper drive shaft .after they installed the drive shaft they took it off The lift and didn’t even bother testing it out to make sure it was done correctly, when I turned on the 4x4in my truck it broke out and they said that it was my fault and wouldn’t fix it instead they tried to say that I had to buy a 600$ part in order to fix the drive shaft and that wasn’t what you was needed to be fixed they’re a scam and here to just take your money they don’t care about the quality of their work so you might want to get a second opinion before you have them work on you vehicle

This place came highly reccomended by several friends. Straight answers no bull, and good prices for the work done. My car came in squeaking and clunking so badly, i thought my rear axle was gonna fall off. 4 hours later, i got what felt like a brand new car. The best part is no doomsday sales techniques. Very straight shooter. Im not going anywhere else but here from now on.
