I hate giving bad rating towards any company. I just have to say the person who did the work on a certain job was very unprofessional and sadly had a very poor attitude. I would advise who ever reads this to keep clear of this company because of the staff who works for them. Not sure if it was an employee or the business owner but either way they should find help.
We needed service for our camera that was working only intermittently. Very quickly our tech Rod, determined it was a faulty camera and he replaced it. Works perfectly now.
Rod, the installer really has game. He covered the paperwork and options well before doing the install. He did the electronic lock and video doorbell. Nice guy to boot.
I am beyond thrilled right now and want to share with my experience in working with Vector Security of Fort Lauderdale! I spent a lot of time and made a lot of calls looking for a reputable company to essentially take over an existing security system and add some other newer components. Im really so impressed by the amazing customer service I consistently received from Tasha who was my first and main point of contact throughout the whole process. She was extremely knowledgable on everything Vector has to offer in product and service options. She earned extra gold stars for her responsiveness every time I called and patience with my numerous questions. Tasha and her manager, Rey, put together the perfect package that fit my needs. They worked hard to schedule the installation as quickly as possible during this very busy time. The scheduling coordinator, Renee, was very friendly and professional when she called to notify me, confirming day and time. On the day of install, the technician, Jay, called ahead to let me know he was on his way with an estimated time of arrival. He took his time going through everything existing with me and what was being added. Jay was also very patient and understanding of my additional questions and took the time to explain everything. When I decided that I wanted to make a last minute equipment change, he had absolutely no hesitation.His co-worker, Danny, who is also a technician was able to stop by to drop off some different remotes that were needed so that I wouldnt have to wait until another day and even helped Jay for a little while until he had to leave for his next appt. They were both so professional, knowledgable and thorough. Jay stayed later than I expected to clean up everything, run tests and be extra sure everything was connected properly so all was good to go! Tasha followed up soon after to ensure everything went well and that I was happy. Its been such a long time since I have received such a positive experience with a company from one person to another... to another. Im so impressed with the Vector Security team and would definitely recommend!
We had to set up our Vector Alarm system remotely because of the COVID19 pandemic. Our installer, Rod, was very professional and fantastic. He set up everything according to our instructions and then patiently walked us through all the system features. It was very easy to achieve total peace of mind with Rod and Vector Security.
We had the pleasure of having David Mulroy help my wife and I decide what features we needed in an alarm system for our new home. David not only showed up on Father’s Day to help us, he gave us some good suggestions we hadn’t thought of.Today, Vector Security sent over Arnaldo Cuevas to do our installation. Arnoldo was absolutely awesome!!! He is a true professional in every aspect, we couldn’t be happier with the clean installation and the tutorial he gave us on how to operate the new system. Arnaldo is a credit to Vector Security. We discussed some other options to install at a later date; which he will be installing as well.We have been Vector Security customers for over 14 years now, as we have them monitor our main residence as well. Count us as very happy customers.

Great company. Had my alarm installed last week and it’s great. I can view my cameras, control my ac and door locks. I’m doing remodeling and some equipment got disconnected and the sales rep and sales manager came to my house and reconnected it without any hesitation. I recommend this company to everyone.
Our Service Tech was Rod, like always he is very detailed and explains the issue at hand and the steps he would be taking to solve our IQ panel issue. Once he completed everything was working like new. A true asset to the Vector Alarm family. When we have any issues we always request Rid even if we have to wait a few extra days.
The technician was amazing. Patient, easy to understand and so accommodating. Even happily added three motion detectors after being ready to depart at near 7:45pm. Really validated us choosing Vector Security!

Arrived on time. Review the system with me appropriately. Changed out the smoke detector which had been malfunctioning. Their appointment scheduling moved up my appointment so I would not be bothered by the constant alarm going off.

Horrible service. Changed address and Vector is requesting a cancellation letter for old address although I am still a customer! If letter is not sent, they will send my account to collections, although I am still a customer and have been paying my dues monthly?? Why should a cancellation letter be sent when you are still a customer of theirs? Horrible customer service. Rep was extremely rude and unhelpful. This should be a communication within the company, not a worry of the customer. Unfortunately cannot cancel as there is a contract. Will never be a customer ever again.

I switched from ADT and it’s the best thing i have done. Everything at that prior company was always an issue. From the sales people to everyone in service was horrendous. So far at Vector Security my sales consultant, technician and their supervisors have been amazing. Keep up the great work Vector !!

Read this before you cancel!I got Vector Security service so nobody would steal from me, but Vector ended up being the ones who stole from me.The service was okay. Never really got to see how well it worked, because we never had an incident in which it was needed.Long story short we fell on hard times and started budgeting. So unfortunately the security service needed to be cut.I explained my situation to Vector and they allowed me to cancel, however a few weeks later I get a bill from Vector for the remainder balance. When I called to ask why they billed me after I cancelled they explained that I signed a one year contract and I was liable for that amount and if I didnt pay it would go to collections.I asked if I paid the remaining balance would I still have service and they said no... So I asked the lady on the phone, what sense does it make to pay for a service that Im not going to get to use? She didnt answer the question, but reminded me of the contract terms. ..In the end I suppose its my fault for not reading the contract thoroughly but what terrible business practices. I had to pay them for the remainder of the year and I have no service.

The worst and most dangerous alarm company ever! Inactivated our services without notice and put my home and family in harms way and vulnerable to burglars! Our account was paid in full / zero balance. Just happened to go online to schedule the next monthly payment and realized our service was inactive. Called to inquire, Brenisha Webb, one of the most unprofessional customer service representatives ever, agreed that my account was up to date, zero balance, but told me that I would have to sign another 3 year contract in or to re-active my services. The I get a call from a local representative who also refused to re-active our service unless I signed another contract! They are dangerous, scam artist! Do not use this company!
I’m giving this company two stars because the technician rod is very knowledgeable and helpful when I call and request him and also because Dough is also helpful other than that it sucks and deserves zero stars .I’m stuck with them because the community I live uses them . The girl who answers the phone is very unprofessional and rude . I only call because the cameras keep getting messed up on the app so I feel like they aren’t good enough . I just think that for servicing such nice community why is the customer service so unreliable. Even when they transfer you they barely even pick up . They should hire more people if that’s the case . I personally get anxiety being on hold or getting transferred from department to department like I’m calling the social security office . Terrible experience.

Since I moved to South Florida from PA I feel really safe knowing Vector is my home security company. Like some others there is a little wait to get regular maintenance service, but emergency service they are right there for you. when I call the office I always speak with Renee or Dee Dee and they are very helpful. I plan on staying with Vector Security.
So far the best Alarm company I have worked with. Got my alarm installed on Friday and have had a great experience from the sales rep to the installer. Even had a follow up call from the Sales Manager to see how my experience had gone. I recommend this company to everybody.

I have been with this company for years and am totally happy. i have friends in Delray Beach in gated communities that recommended this company for my home security needs. when i had doors and windows replaced i called they gave me a customer loyalty deal and i was really happy, I did not expect the to come out for nothing. the service rates are comparable to other service providing companies in my area, i.e. had to have my ice maker in the freezer fixed, same exact rates as Vector. i do not plan on going anywhere, totally happy with all the nice people i talk to at the office. would recommend them (and I have) over and over again.

Do not use this service! I hate Vector so much that I switched to ADT seven months before my (3-year) contract was over, and I literally had to pay Vector until the end. Even to cancel was a pain, I had to write a letter giving an explanation why I was cancelling. Heres why- 1. Terrible installation. I had TWO false alarms in the middle of the night (one I was not at home) due to faulty installation- the sensor literally fell off of the wall. It was a scary ordeal both times. The second time it happened, I called and complained. The manager in charge of installations literally told me that the glue they use is low quality and there was nothing he could do about that. I ended up supergluing the sensors to the wall myself. 2. Every time you call to make a changes or need to get information about your account, they transfer you to the SALES rep who is in charge of your account which is extremely annoying because all they try to do is pressure you into buying more instead of helping you with what you need. 3. Unorganized. I broke up with my boyfriend and removed him from the account. They called me to tell me about an issue (there are always little issues) and they still had him on the account. I definitely did not want him to have access to my security system info. I could go on, but the point is- TERRIBLE! Just dont use this service.

I ve never seen a customer service as bad as that. You stay forever waiting on hold. The simply dont care! After they fixed my vacuum the issue came back 2 months after. Worst company!
Very slow service when needed, reason given was that the company does not have enough associates to provide the service, nevertheless they continue to sell service. Just waiting for the end of contract to move on. There’s too many companies around to be hanging to one that can’t step up to the plate when it comes to providing the service needed

Go with any other company than this one! The sales people lie to you about what is provided when you pay for premium services and the customer service is atrocious! The Fort Lauderdale manager should be fired and corporate is not any better. Whenever there is a false alarm (which happens randomly for absolutely no reason) the call center dials my emergency number instead of me and has even called the police before calling me. I have complained about this multiple times and they still havent corrected the issue. They will slip in multiple hidden charges that are not mentioned on the contract. They are scam artists in the business of security - be warned! I will be canceling my service asap!!

Extremely disgusted with Vector Security as I was scammed into a 3 years contract and do not believe the monitoring has ever been live. My alarm system has gone off several times and no one from Vector Security has ever called. As a Realtor I would tell clients to stay away from Vector Security.
