I called there in the morning to see if I could get my boat in for a tune up sometime that week. They actually came to my house that day and had my boat running perfect within an hour. Thats customer service.

I called them this morning before they even opened and they answered the phone. I had a Evinrude that wouldnt start. he came to my house and got it running like a sawing machine! Starts first turn of the key! And charged a very reasonable price the the couple hours it took!

They were swamped, the world was in panic mode over COVID-19, they had more work than they could handle, and losing help left and right. Jim took the time, with my help and taught me a lot about my boat and some of its reoccurring issues I may have. We were able to get the boat running and water ready. Jim is a great guy with a ton of knowledge and highly recommended. I was skeptical that there will still people in the world with his qualities. Faith has been restored in humanity!

Took my boat there after having another business work on it . They fixed it in a couple hours tried it out and left great service and very reasonable

Had my boat 8 mounts kept saying 2 more weeks then I take it back has a big scratch my $250 battery is gone and my ignition its like they used my boat for parts well I guess we will see you in small classes court

Great service and was very honest about my motor repair. When complete it was a much better price and gave me tips on how to take care of the 15 hp motor. Without a doubt if you need a repair at least let Jim look at it and give an estimate....you wont be sorry.

Refuses to answer phone and messages. Had a deal for work on my new boat, and is refusing to complete the deal or reply to any messages. Cost me a spare tire and 2 boat seats and the motor still doesnt work properly. If there was a zero star rating, this one deserves it!!! If you make a deal, stand by it and complete it

Took my battery, lost my original boat key of a 1963 classic and didn’t cover my boat when he said he would. I finally just went and got it. Didn’t fix the problem.

The guy wasnt even there. I drove an hour and a half to his shop. There was a note on the door with a phone number, called it several times with no answer

Definite Scam artist. Never answers phones or messages, does half-a** work, uses used parts in repairs but tells customers they are new parts, will take payment but puts off doing the work for as long as he is able to. Gives roundabout answers if cornered, doesnt pay his helpers half the time, who, by the way, are usually the ones doing the work, and they do the best they can, but without training, (or Jims assistance at the very least), there is only so much they can do.Also home to Boat Motor Jims online eBay store dixiesales_bmj. Same deal with that, buyer beware as products are not checked before they are listed for sale. I would NOT recommend this place if you want real actual service for your boat or engines.

My boyfriend ordered a complete outdrive from this guy in the beginning of Nov 2018. Will be sent out next week. then, 3 months later, it still wasnt even PULLED FROM THE BOAT. JIM dodged calls, texts, messages etc. Completely unprofessional, save your money and buy elsewhere. IF I could give 0 stars, I would. BE AWARE. eBay name was dixiesales_bmj. We ended up having to dispute the $1000+ charge with visa to get it back.

WASTE OF TIME!!! This guy is a scam. He had my motor for a month working on it. I couldn’t get it to run so he said he cleaned out the car and changed the spark plugs and it fired right up. Well he lied!!! I took the motor home and it still didn’t run. I checked the plugs and they were the same exact plugs that were originally in it. He charged me money and didn’t fix the motor. I tried to get ahold of him afterwards and he will not answer my calls.

Left my boat there last November to have it winterized and it ran fine. Was also having a new set of gauges in the boat over the winter . I came to see how things were going several times over the month it was there only to have him say he was getting to it. Come march again he never answered his phone or his texts, finally he tells me he has guys he knows coming to do the gauges . Then sends pics of the gauges out and tells me he cant seem to get them in because one was smaller . Come to find out he let the guy Cy there work on it which when I go there to check on it he tells me he had not been trained on this type of work .. 2 more months pass without my boat.. Always no answer and if so we are working on it. Then was told the boat wont start . He says its from my points and that he broke screws off in the cap and cant get them out . The boat ran fine when it was taken there . I had to go get my boat from him and take it to somewhere else . When I took it to the other guy he had to redo all the wires in the dash behind the gauges and also put in a new tach because that tach was shorted out when they tried replacing it .. Also replace the dist housing which was on me because it was old but the best part is my boat didnt even have points and thats what he kept saying was keeping it from starting when it was because the tach had been grounded out when they put the old one back in .. So Im having to pay a total of 1,200 dollars for a boat that ran perfect before he and his coworker that doesnt know anything about boats worked on. I am suing him in small claims for this and for my new gauges that was never returned ..
