On the first service call I had an ac part replaced at a very reasonable price. A couple days later my system stopped working again. A to Z came and checked it out for me and explained that earwigs cause problems inside the unit and nothing needed to be repaired this time. Each trip to my house the repairmen were friendly and explained everything so I could understand it. I trust this company to service my home.

When I made the decision to purchase a new heating/cooling system. A to Z by far out weighed their competitors. I recently experienced a situation that only GOD could come down and fix. However Joe, the service tech and Lisa, the office manager showed/expressed nothing but faith and pure compassion. They prayed for me and I prayed for me along with my prayer warriors about the situation, the next day GOD had this in control, if I could have given both Lisa and Joe a hug, I would. These 2 individuals ong with many that I have spoken with a diamonds in the ruff and a true asset to A to Z. When I reference or speak to/about Lisa, I say that is the angel my parents sent to encourage me to go on. I will forever be grateful and thankful that GOD allowed me to select A to Z. Wish we wouldve seen Yelp reviews before calling this business. The furnace went out in our rental unit on a Saturday while we were out of town, so we called them. The communication was poor as far as when the technician could make it out but as we had already checked with another company who had no availability until Monday, so we just gave them the okay. The tech didnt give us a heads up to let us know he was arriving as they said he would, and he initially diagnosed it as the control board needing to be replaced. We asked for a ballpark price and were told around $485 including labor and $99 diagnostic trip. He could not tell us the price of the part and googled a similar one to come up with the estimate. When he returned 2 days later to replace the part, he had suddenly decided that the gas valve also needed to be replaced and conveniently had that part with him! We then got the bill which came out to an astounding $1023 dollars. For reference, we just replaced the whole furnace in our primary residence with a high end unit 3x the size and whole house humidifier for $5,100, so a bill this size for this repair was highway robbery. Having no choice other than to start over, we told him to go ahead with part replacement.3 weeks later, the furnace is having issues again. We called another company, who said it was the limit switch (which was not tested by A to Z), they completed the repair for $134 and weve had no issues since.I cannot tell you enough to avoid this company at all costs.

I have had a great experience with their knowledge and expertise. I have been a customer for years. I dont even shop around for better deals because I trust them. They are honest and wont try to sell you what you dont want. They let you know all repair options.

We have several rental homes, and have had the opportunity to call A to Z Total Heating & Cooling on several occasions. We have used them for furnace and a/c repair and furnace inspections. The staff at A to Z is always helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Its easy to get an appointment, and the prices are reasonable. I will continue to call them for our furnace and a/c needs, and highly recommend them.

We called A to Z to look at our AC unit (since their name is on the thermostat, I would think they installed it before we bought the house) it wasn’t cooling efficiently.. between late May to mid July, we had 4 people out, 4 different diagnosis’, & 4 different estimates.. from bad ductwork to, to having too much Freon, to ‘hey it’s working just fine, we don’t want to charge you for services you don’t need’, to not having enough Freon, to us needing a total upgrade to a larger unit.. this would scare any buyer. So if we are to dish out $4k towards a new unit, we’ll have professionals do it.

The A to Z company is very reliable. Their company is always on time, and they always fix whatever needs to be fixed. I’ve never had a problem with them. Their serviceman, Jerry, was very fast, polite, and knowledgeable about what he was doing. I’m so glad that we’ve found this company so many years ago. We will never go anywhere else for our heating/cooling service.

This is a great company I would definitely recommend them for your furnace or AC needs. When I called them out because a roofing contractor told me there was the possibility that my chimney was leaking as well as my roof. I called A to Z they came out and gave me different options of possibilities of what they could do. But they recommend that I wait for the day the roofing contractor come and install my roof. So i didnt have a big hole in my roof. On the day my roof was being installed A to Z came out along with the roofing contractors and worked side-by-side to take the chimney down and move my exhaust to come out of the side of the house. So now I wont have an additional part for my roof to leak again. The 2 men that came out were absolutely amazing and got it done quickly and efficiently. I have been with this company for about 15 years and would recommend their service to everyone.

After my basement flooded and killed my furnace I reached out to a few HVAC companies. I am so happy that I went with A To Z!! These guys were the best, from sales (Stephen), to Lisa and Shannon in the office, to the guys, Steve, Shawn, and Roth that installed my HVAC system. They were professional, timely, and answered all of my questions. They said that it would be two days to install my furnace and AC unit and it was completed when they said it would be. Our Cozy furnace wall unit worked fine for 15 years, then died, in December 2019, I called A to Z heating & cooling. The technician said there were burnt wires on the back and it couldnt be fixed, so he talked us into buying a new furnace. Later we found out from their head Tech that the wires on the old furnace, in deed could have been replaced.So on December 3rd 2019 the new furnace was installed. After the 3rd visit, they finally got the unit to work. It worked for 3 &1/2 months until April 2020 and then quit working. Due to the pandemic they said they wouldnt be coming to homes, but would put me down for a later date.Now fast forward to December 2020, they finally come out and cant fix it. They come out 2 more times and cant fix it.Their solution is this, give us a refund and remove the furnace.Now I have duct work hanging out of the ceiling and wires and a gas line coming out of the wall. Now no furnace at all. Who does that, worse company Ive dealt with in my life. I hope people can learn from my experience. Run as fast as you can from this company.

🤗BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!🤗 Our thermostat died. It was after hours when I contacted A to Z via their website. Lisa called me back almost immediately. She got me set up with service tech Robert in about 10 minutes. He arrived within 30 minutes, diagnosed the problem, and replaced the thermostat in about the same amount of time. He was professional, friendly, and wore a mask the whole time. We also saved money because we belong to their Residential Energy Savings program. Even after hours, they got us straightened out quickly and with AWESOME attitudes! We’ve been with this company for years, and employees like Lisa and Robert are the reasons why. Thank you!!!

Customer Service was great! Provided education on Hot Water Systems, and scheduled delivery within a day. Technician was on time, and did good job removing broken hot water tank and installing new hot water tank in a timely manner. Also, he cleaned up after himself.

Wish I didnt come here for custom vent covers/registers, not only did the guy do a bad job getting the measurements correct, I went back because he straight up gave me a piece he didnt want to custom make.. it was wrong and didnt fit so that exhibits laziness just like the quality of the vent/registers.Dude also refuses to answer his departments phone and doesnt answer questions with even the slightest bit of accuracy. So now Ive found another vent that doesnt fit because it wasnt sized properly. I actually left them the old vent registers and everything whole so they could get it right... dude did a terrible job... go somewhere else thank me later.If your reading this business owner... idk if hes your son or relative but maybe you should help him with his work and interpersonal skills

Multiple promises to be in contact missed. Multiple in person scheduled appointments at my home missed. They recently came out and replaced my furnace and AC, upgraded to a new system because mine was 26 years old and not efficient. I got a good deal on a high efficiency system and they did the work in 2 days. Very professional and clean, barely noticed they were there!

The customer service is great - our carbon monoxide was going off and when other companies couldnt fit us in they did! We ended up figuring out it was the alarms - and not needing the appt, but I will definitely call them again! The receptionist was nice, understanding, and responsive - you cant beat good people!!

In May of 2020 we had our AC installed by them which was a complete nightmare that we continuously live. For starters they never came with the permit which we still don’t have a copy of for the install our neighbor called the city of Dearborn on us because they didn’t produce a permit. Then the install took three days to complete due to them sending an inexperienced tech out. I had to put him out the first night because it was 10pm and my family needed to be in the bed. On top of the install taking 3 days they crossed our electrical wiring and have not came to fix it all the lights in my basement are on the same main switch now and my sons room on of the outlets only work when the basement light at the steps are turned on. I called and texted Lisa a number of times with no return call or text and it’s now forcing me to have to pay someone to fix a problem they created.

Heat was blowing cold air, call them and they came out same day to fix the furnace. The technician troubleshooted the furnace and found that it was a bad pressure switch which he replaced. Now I have heat again which I’m happy about :)

Called at 8:45 am, was told parts department doesnt open until 9am.Called back at 9:02 am, left a message as to what part I needed for my furnace along with my phone number.Never heard back.Went to Downriver Heating and Cooling for the part and was very satisfied with their service.

Had new furnace and a/c system installed early July, and was promised before contract was signed that it would be a lot cooler with a new system, after installed was made, its actually worse. Install guys said it may be the duct work, and to call the office to schedule an estimate. which I was fine with because Mark (the rep) and I had already discussed that the duct work would probably need some work. So I call and I schedule the date(which is two weeks out after install). ...and I make sure they know its to get a quote for the the duct work under the house. Not only does the rep show up an hour late, he doesnt have anyone with him to look under my home. So know Ive gone nearly a 2 weeks with a brand new a/c and furnace, with internal temps that are still in the 80s, only to be told that I would have to go another two days and wait for a tech to come out and look under the house. WHEN THAT WAS THE REASON I MADE THE AFTER INSTALL APPOINTMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE. And today I received a call that they need me to sign paperwork, that I have already signed, so they have somehow either lost the paperwork, or dont have the competent staff necessary to complete the work. Completely unprofessional, avoid at all costs.

These guys were so nice they even told her that she was a pleasure to work for! I had some concerns, I think Shannon answered the phone and was very nice, she got me over to (I will remember this name) Lisa, and from there my mind was fully at ease. A-Z is the best company to call when you have a problem with your hot water heater. They are very honest. Will give you both the repair price and the replacement price. Well for one thing they answered the phone when I called so thats a good first step I did call a couple of other places first and they did not answer the phone. Joe was our service man he was very professional, on time, and did a good job quickly. We were also interested in a new condenser unit and he got us hooked up and someone came out within the hour. I also got a furnace from A to Z in 2014 and it has ran well with no problems.

Incompetent parts guy. Tried giving me a 208v blower motor for a motor tag that clearly stated 115v, it was also the wrong frame. I needed a 42 frame and the one hes trying to give me was a 48. He didnt even bother trying to look it up on the computer or anything.

Throughout we did have some issues with communication from the office, but the owner reached out and was sincere in his apologies and made things right. I would use AtoZ again based on the workers (Joe was are install lead and I couldn’t ask for a better guy, Dave, Steve, Dakota and I know I’m forgetting some of the guys.) I also have respect for an owner (Jerry) that reaches out and personally apologizes when things don’t go as planned or there are issues and does something to make it right. They’ve got my approval.

Outstanding, friendly, and quick customer service. Comfortmaker model G9MXE060 turns out to have numerous problems. A to Z has identified 3 major problems the circuit board, combustion engine, and condensation system. Once my 5 yr old furnace started having problems Sheila worked to have all three replaced on my furnace. When the furnace still was not working Lisa contacted Comfortmaker and worked with their technicians to resolve yet another problem. Great work on the part of A to Z who went up and beyond to resolve my problems at no cost to me, however shame on Comfortmaker for making such a bad product

I had A-to-Z come out and install a new air unit probably been a couple seasons now the agreement was discussed over the phone they were to install a new central air unit and a new line set when I got home from work The day they were installing almost completed the installer told me that The existing lines were fine Which so far I’ve had no problem about a month later I talk to people in the office at a to Z and the lady told me they should’ve replaced with new lines and as soon as they get out of their busy season they would get in touch with me to replace the line set going on a couple years now still waiting

We had no heat and when Joe B came out, he quickly diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes. Joe had to get a part, came back after about 15 minutes and had our heat working 5 minutes later. Joe was extremely knowledgeable and very customer oriented, making sure we knew exactly what he did to repair our furnace. I’m so glad that we have such a great HVAC company!!! Thank you very much! Joe arrived in a timely fashion, and went to work evaluating and rehanging the thermostat which had been torn from the wall. Luckily, the thermostat wasn’t damaged. Joe then changed out the furnace filter as I had missed the January change. Joe was professional, communicates well and did an outstanding job. I’d have him back any day to work on any heating and cooling system.

When we moved to Westland we continued to have our furnace and airconditioner checked by your company. Always have had great service from your employees and your company.Back in Oct/Nov. One of your employees, referred to as Little Joe helped out our friend Michael. Michael was a cancer patient and his furnace went out on the weekend. He could not get anyone to help, so he called us and I referred you to him. Joe came right out and got the heat on so that he could gather some belongings and go to his sisters. Joe had to order a part and on the following Monday came and repaired the furnace. Mike was so delighted and pleased with your service. Unfortunately, Mike passed away in December. They got to me extremely fast for the amount of people I imagine they were dealing with during the first heat wave of the season. They had to come out twice though. The first time they were out they were here for a while but apparently there was a leak and Joe had to come out and fix it 2 Days Later. Thank God the weather had cooled off and I wasnt dealing with 86 degrees in my house again though this time.The reason I rated a 3 is because they were here so long the first time you would think they would have had it done right but then again the boss was rushing them to yet another install when they were leaving my house at 5:30! I was shocked they had to go do this again. All of the technicians that were at my home were fantastic to deal with, very pleasant, nice, informative but in my opinion overworked. I really think they need to be getting Hazard pay like the rest of us who interact with the public.

The whole experience was great, from the man that came and sold me the system to the 2 guys that had to spend 2 1/2 days here on what they said was only going to be maybe a 2 day job. My old furnace had to be taken apart it was so big, so they had to spend extra time here. They cleaned up after themselves and were great the whole time they were here. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Joe was the technician that came out to fix our AC. He found an initial solution to the problem, a blown fuse, but went an extra step further to make sure the fuse was the issue. After he fixed the fuse and tested the AC he found a wiring issue that was causing the AC to run continuously. If this problem wasn’t corrected the fuse would have blown again and we would have been back at square one. Joe was also very polite, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. We just purchased a home and will be contacting A to Z to see if they cover the area. We will be requesting Joe.

My review is good and bad. Cant say enough about Joe that came by to change a zone flow water valve on my boiler. Joe explained everything thoroughly and went the extra mile in my book! When good customer service seems to be fading away, what a welcome surprise to have Joe show up today.The bad in my opinion is the companies up charge on parts. 100% mark up on a part is really taking advantage of the customers. Repeat customers are more valuable than a one time transaction! Also, when a customer calls to set up an appointment it would be courteous at that time to explain you will be charged a $110.00 boiler fee on top of labor fees.

Just want to Thank Steve and Jeremy for the AWESOME JOB on my vent they replaced in my bathroom. The vent was off for about 5 years. My house is on a crawlspace, Jeremy and Steve had to go in the creepy crawlspace 🕷 YIKES. Excellent and quality service. Great and friendly staff. They helped us out in an emergency, within less than 1 hour of our call when we were told by DTE, with whom we had a service contract, for over 20 years, that they did not provide emergency service and it would be at least 4 days before they could come out and check our furnace that did not work. This was in the middle of winter. A To Z got our business and a contract the very next day. This was about 8 years ago. Chris was our service tech, was very knowledgeable and professional had the furnace up and running within minutes. We ask for Chris for our twice a year checkups. We highly recommend A To Z. By the way, we cancelled the contract with DTE the very next day.

Highly recommend this company! They installed a new furnace and an air conditioning for us and everything went perfectly. Everyone was highly professional and knowledgeable in every aspect and their pricing was the lowest of 4 estimates that I received from other companies. Im not sure why there are so many negative reviews, competitors maybe? I think they were absolutely GREAT!

Broke my knob on my water heater control gas valve. Couldnt get the part unless I buy the whole unit, couldnt even buy the crown plate. Whole unit... so these kind people found a way to get me the exact same knob. Simple things like this make a huge impact. Thank you A to Z heating and cooling

Service tech pinpointed the problem right away. Showed me what happened and why, then showed how to avoid the problem in the future. Didn’t take shortcuts but fixed it the right way.
