I have been going there for over 40 years (with my dad ) ...back when Ronnie had a hammer head shark on the wall 🦈. I tried other local butcher shops but always returned to Ronnie because they have the best quality, freshness, customer service, and taste. They go above and beyond to make sure the right amount of fat is trimmed and the cut is right for your recipe ( they will even ask how your cooking, for how many, and what your cooking!). Melt in your mouth tenderness and the best home made beef jerky and pepperoni I have ever had. Never disappointed and never herd a complaint from the many people I have sent to him and his family to buy beef, lamb, or chicken. This place is the best around, not only for just halal meat, but for meat PERIOD. My family and I have been coming here for years and its the ONLY place well get our meat from. These guys have been around for generations. My parents bought from them when I was kid. More importantly, theyre very well trained butchers. Ive had some of the best steaks from this place. The meat is always fresh...goat, lamb and beef.

The ONLY place to go for lamb. We are neither kosher or halal and drive 27 miles one way for the best domestic lamb available. Delicious, flavorful, not gamey like the imported stuff in the grocery stores (yuck)! Once you have had the lamb from Ronnie Berrys, you will never go back to eating what you thought was good lamb. They do not compare. If you love lamb, make the trip and stock up. You will be a devotee as we are.

You want to talk top quality meat this is the place. Ronnie is the real deal, i have been shopping here for over 25 years and never been disappointed once. The lamb chops, and steak selection is mouth watering. No one makes jerkys like Ronnie. If you want the freshest and finest meat, Ronnie is worth the trip.

By far the best kabob meat Ive ever ate. Not to mention their jerky thats smoked in house fresh every week. Very clean and friendly environment. This is why I drive quite a ways to visit the berry family.

Very disappointed in my recent experiences here. I moved a couple states away but still bought my meat in bulk from here every couple of months. The meat was always top notch which is why I continued to purchase from here. On one occasion, my chicken breast could’ve been a little more fresh (to my surprise). I mentioned this when I placed my next order and the person I was speaking to was too passive about it. The following experience, I asked my for meat to be bagged a certain way (same way I always request it to be done- makes for easy freezing and traveling), and it wasn’t. And the last time, the 10 pounds of chicken breast I ordered, I asked for nothing to be done except for it to be bagged a certain way, but received all 10 pounds chopped! I won’t be making another trip back.

Great they have the best meats in all of Detroit. If you are going call ahead and place your order over the phone. They get very busy.
