After five years in Atlanta, I finally made it to Kudzu Antiques. There are some special pieces there, including furniture and decorative pieces, as well as some vintage clothing items. However, the quality of some items, as well as the service was disappointing. I found some of the furniture pieces visibly wobbly. A small closet priced initially at over $300 nearly fell down on me after I tried to open the door. A technician noticed a problem the first time I came in and said he would fix it, but second time around, the same issue occurred. As for service, there are a lot of people working at Kudzu, but the expertise and the sales tactics are really mixed. Having lived all over the world, including Asia and Africa, I found it a little off-putting for an employee who is selling fair trade clothing only to tell me a story of two Western women somehow discovering Kenyan design and taking it to America. Another revealing experience was offering one of the employees (Andy) to sell a few very high quality items, including two 100% silk vintage piece and a pair of vintage woven natural slippers. Of the three items, she offered me $6 for one of them (a silk dress) without a blink. Thats appalling given that polyester low quality clothes are hanging all over this shop marked up at $30 as the lowest price from what I could see. I have sold my vintage items online and in other shops, and never received such a low-ball offer. All in all, enjoy the experience, but anticipate meeting some pretentious sale attendants and do check your closet before you buy it, it might just fall down on you.
Clean store with beautiful items to sell. Lots of interesting antiques. Vintage clothing good parking.
Cool antique mall, lots of selection of furniture and other decorations. Definitely worth a visit.
Great stuff. Unique. I bought a beautiful hand painted vintage picture. Just love this place.
Very few actual antiques, but fun to browse through. Staff could be friendlier.
A true Atlanta gem. Great mix of modern and antique. A fun shopping experience
If you are looking for truly unique and gorgeous items, this is the place! Go and be inspired by the beauty and creativity! It lowers my blood pressure just to stop in and browse! Great gift items too!!
Great store with unique items for sale.. You can always find something interesting and cool here.
I love this place! Sometimes a little disappointed in the pricing but always fun and always full of good stuff.
This place is a great mix of old and new and has so many treasures to explore!
I love the set up, and Ive always found great treasures here. The rooms tend to be themed and the variety of styles is fantastic. Its great for a shopping experience but also fun if you are just looking for a fun way to spend the afternoon. Also I had some work done on a lamp and found it super reasonable as far as pricing and labor costs. The staff are all great and very helpful.
Love this place! Staff is always so friendly, and the selection never disappoints. Its a great spot for mid-century furniture and local handmade gifts.
Really cool place. Bring your walking shoes because there is a lot to cover. A great mix of pieces from all era’s.It’s located right down the street from Dekalb Farmers Market. For some reason I love antiques shopping on raining days. They have a nice size parking lot for easy access. They also have clean restrooms for those making a day trip out of it. The building is also wheel chair accessible with a ramp right in front of the entrance.
While it is slightly overpriced, you could literally spend hours in the store. My friend Margo said it is my favorite place in Atlanta! Within the one store there are many collections. In each collection, you can see the curated taste of various Atlanta locals, ranging from vintage to eclectic to rustic. Whether you enjoy browsing storefronts or immersing yourself in the finer details within collections, this is the place for you. Within its walls, any variety of treasures may be found if you spend enough time looking. There are a wide variety of rare trinkets, gadgets, artwork, decor, furniture, clothes, and even appliances. This store is one of the few that offers truly unique and well-curated collections, and anyone who enjoys antiquing, thrifting, or boutiquing will be at home at Kudzu. This is a cant miss. I love this store and highly recommend it to everyone.
If you want to have a great experience shopping for unique, this is your place !!!
Loved the wide selection of styles! Great for furniture or gifts! So much fun to browse and explore!
Always great stuff and wonderful help. I dont always leave with something but I always wish I was.
Always a cool place to visit and find some vintage goodies. Much larger on the inside than it appears!
Absolutely THE best place for the unusual...inside and out. Never the same...visit often.
Vintage (including clothing!), mid century, and a well curated selection of new. Whats not to love?
Destination Swap Shop - several fabulous and very creative display areas.
Wonderful antique store with great customer service. Greeted with a smile & welcome at the entrance. The young gentleman who provided personal customer service attention to everyone assisting with questions was refreshing & helpful. The store is filled with beautiful unique pieces and & friendly reminders of the past. Enjoyed visiting & thankful for my friend telling me about this place. A Must go to!! Plenty of parking & Social distance/masks requirements in place. The store has a really nice flow with how everything is arranged, to accommodate this need. Stay safe.
Fun spot - plan to spend at minimum an hour here
I love shopping here for my home and gifts. You can really find some unique pieces. It is a fun day even if you are just browsing.
I cant believe I havent sounded off on how amazing this place is for gifts. I love a good hodgepodge market and this place was as get of as they come. I cannot recommend them enough for shopping and gifting local goods! Also they have great furniture for homes from repurposed items and lots of garden sculptures of your into that.
Youve got to browse a little before you get to the antiques. Its a fun place to visit.
Have been for years and still is one of my favorite places to go and find very nice antiques and unusual things for your home or yourself, you could spend hours here and still not see it all. Extremely helpful very nice friendly staff. If you got a couple of hours to doddle and browse this is your place to be.
Great place to shop for antiques. Also they do vintage lamp repair there.
I didn’t go in for years because I thought it would be full of junk, but its very nice! Great place for midcentury modern furniture.
Been here quite a few times and always have enjoyed seeing the different booths of varying items. So many eclectic finds here. Great place to stop any given day, but especially for a unique birthday/Christmas/special occasion gift. Check it out! You wont be disappointed!
An antique place that actually has antiques, retro pieces, vintage and quirky custom pieces, recommended for almost anyone looking for authentic
Kool;-) place
Antiques for all the different tastes. Furniture, clothes, devices, cameras, etc. Excellent attention and lovely staff. Prices adequate to the type of object.
First time every there! I like the items they were selling. Very nice store. I came upon it by accident. I will be back.. The prices were not so bad..
Awesome store! You can lose track of time real fast in here. Unique finds scattered and hidden throughout the store.
Kudzu is my favorite place to find unique gifts and stunning furniture pieces - an incredible selection spanning any period/style you are looking for. To top it off, the team is always so helpful and friendly.
Great place to spend the afternoon. Lots of variety and gift ideas. Will definitely be back.
Awesome place to find that one of a kind gift or piece for the house.
Super cool place! If you are looking for a mix of handmade artisan pieces and thrift store finds this is the place. It is broken into an upholstery and stained glass section for large furniture, handmade arts market with jewelry and ceramics and multiple antique stalls from different sellers ranging from furniture to cameras to leather jackets. Super fun place to waste a few hours in looking around and we left with a few pieces for our camera collection and a brand new sofa!
Best antique hunt in Atlanta when Scott’s isn’t in town. A rare spot where the quality exceeds the prices.
Great Vintage home and yard findingsNot cheap
Only my second time here, but Ill keep coming back because their inventory changes often. This place is packed with a huge variety of unique paintings and furniture. Love it and the staff!
This place is AWESOME! Eclectic mix of things in upscale flea market environment. A tad over priced but you are paying for clean antiques in a world where that is usually dirty.
Great place for unique decor and lighting, whatever your household needs are. I always start here when shopping for my home. The customer service is exceptional, always offering to help which creates an overall great experience.
So much of my home has come from here over the years. Our most favorite items that we own started here. Especially love my new Einstein print and Lane sweetheart chest. Thank you, Kudzu!
This place has some of everything, and its huge warehouse building is filled with little gems everywhere you look. The staff is really friendly and helpful too! Will definitely be making this a regular stop.
So many booths are dedicated to the 60s and 70s it is hard to love Kudzu as much as I once did. If Man Men chic is your thing this is the place to go.
Ive always wanted to stop after visiting the market-finally did. Loved the antiques and the quirky finds. Definitely makes you want to redecorate.
Bought a cute little end table here and the price was nice too. Very large place and lots of selection
My favorite spot to look for MCM and fun stuff for the house.
Awesome place for new to you items, especially furniture and clothing. Always something new!
Love getting lost in the abundance of items in this store. When I set my intentions, I always find what I went there for... And more!
Love this place! Last year they repair my floor lamp the same day. Today they repaired a table lamp while I was wandering around the store overwhelmed by so much cool stuff! I bought a bunch of beautiful artsy cards and a special Tea towel. I will be back!
Cool antique store with dedicated individual stalls for each vendor. Over all prices are a bit high, but there are some good finds.
Super fun place to check out of you love antiques, vintage furniture, and quirky gifts. Vendor stalls are really well done. We always stop when were in Atlanta.
Two stars because in the past Ive enjoyed this store but today was a very disappointing experience. The store asks that customers wear masks and I have no problem with that. Theyre a private business and can set policy as they see fit. However, I unfortunately contracted Covid-19 a couple of months ago and was left with some lung damage as a result, just like many others who have had it. My doctor cant predict when the leftover damage will resolve if at all. Getting adequate breath when walking around is challenging and wearing a mask makes it near impossible. I have also been tested twice recently to confirm the presence of antibodies. (To be extremely sure before I went out anywhere) Every other place Ive been to where masks were required, employees have been very kind and understanding about why I wasnt wearing a mask. Ive never been told, after explaining, that I had to put it on. BUT it was different today at Kudzu. When I was asked to put a mask on by the Kudzu store employee, I tried to explain my situation and even offered to show my medical information which I now keep on my phone for these exact situations. Unlike other stores Ive been in, this employee told me it was mandatory and declined to even look at the material I keep on my phone to confirm my medical situation and that I dont have Covid. She said they have vulnerable employees so I tried to explain that Im not a danger to anyone, but she wasnt interested in listening. I understand why stores want people to wear masks, but Kudzu needs to understand there are some people who are not able to wear them: people with real medical conditions who arent putting anyone at risk by not wearing them. I should also add that this very large store was almost completely empty of customers on this Tuesday morning and I was never within 6 feet of any other customer or employee. I carry a mask in my purse because when Im sitting for long periods like at work or church it doesnt bother me to wear one, so I do, just so I dont have to explain to everyone. But when I tried to walk around at Kudzu in my mask, very soon the dizziness started. I left the store and waited in my car until I was comfortable enough to drive away. I want to support local businesses and I took today off from work to shop for that very purpose. I was extremely saddened to have this experience. Yes, this lung condition is my problem not theirs, and Kudzu doesnt have to care about it at all. I was just extremely surprised because every other store in Atlanta where Ive been that required a mask has been extremely kind and understanding when I explained my situation (and I have always offered proof if they wanted to see it). Kudzu was not. I also fully understand its their right to tell me I have to leave if I dont have a mask on, so thats what I did. But maybe in the future, if the employees become a little more educated about what risks people like me actually pose, theyll be kinder to the next person in my position.
Great store! They separate all of their items by theme. So you can find 60s, 70s, vintage New Age, vintage games, furniture from every era including current day. Everything is in spotless shape. Which I appreciate in an antique store. The woman working there was so kind, she offered to take the items I was carrying to the front while I looked around. Highly recommend!
Very neat and expansive upscale peddlers type mall with individual stalls selling everything from furniture to antique spoons and everything in-between. You will need at least 30 minutes to stroll through if you actually glance at everything. The staff are super helpful and friendly and there is plenty of parking. Here you can also find outdoor decorations, unique home gifts, and all sorts of oddities and antiques. Think Paris-on-Ponce as its a very similar business. Prices tend to be a bit high but many of thses industrial or antique pieces are trendy right now. However, there are definitely gems to be found.
A little pricey but very neat. Lots of cool things old and new.
The owners/staff are very friendly and welcoming. The prices are a bit high but the items are a very good quality. A nice mis of antiques and new items.
Really awesome we spent 3 hours in there just looking around finally purchased a few things
Plenty of variety at pretty fair prices. More space between pieces than at other antique shops, so easy to navigate the store without worrying youre going to bump into something every few seconds. I really enjoyed the book area, with some wonderful books going back to 1800s (although, it kills me a little when people use pencil to write the price on the inside).
What a great store! This is 1 of my favorite place to just go in Atlanta! It is pricey, but theres so much to see... The store is huge & there are zome really beautiful things there! The service is amazing... They have a customer for as long as I live in GA!
Awesome shop! Lots of individual booths, but what sets this shop apart from the rest is how nicely curated and orderly the booths are. No jumbles of junk here; instead youll find a nice presentation of diverse merchandise encompassing multiple decades. Something for everyone and a great place for an out of the ordinary gift.
This place is amazing, a great spot to find vintage furniture, decor, and clothing. They also have a good selection of new furniture, decor, clothing, and accessories. The prices are reasonable, and its fun just to browse on a rainy afternoon.
Wonderful experience. Great mix of old, vintage and new items.
We went there for the first time just randomly. They had live music and a Santa to take photos with which I found to be pretty awesome. The antiques section was my favorite and I wish I had mare time to spend there. There were some unique pieces if youre in to antiques. The modern section looked great too but my focus was on the antiques. Were definitely going back to check it out and get something unique for the house.
My favorite place to buy furniture and fun decor items and treasures. The Eye of the Beholder booth is the first place I go when hunting for treasures because theres always something there I fall in love with. All of the booths in Kudzu are so unique and cool that I find myself there almost every week! This place is a must see location when visiting Georgia.
I love this store. It has a good mix of new and old and some excellent gifts and cards. Took my daughters bf today. Great. Lets go look at old stuff. He had a great time! There are some really beautiful pieces and some awesome kitsch. A brilliant pace to spend a rainy afternoon.
Its such a fun treasure hunt being here!
Lots of mid-century modern furniture and various collectibles from the 60s and 70s. I was hoping for some more rustic items like old tackle boxes or other storage/carrying items. I know the turn over is pretty good here so if you dont see it just go back.
When you are looking for something unusual and fits your character/personality, go to Kudzu. Always a fun time even if you do not find the piece that screams out to you....buy me and take me home!! Service and front desk folks are extremely helpful and friendly.
Really a great place. Amazing selection of booths. Prices will tend to be highly variable given that people rent spaces but stuff seems to be priced fairly or better. We nabbed a vessel sink for $125 which retails for $1200 (I confirmed this independently of course). We also grabbed a Amish table made from an old barn. I mean, its not an antique but it had that rustic artisan feel and it was priced cheaper than other 6 foot tables we had seen.
Items you cant find other places.
Good selection of interesting things. Seems like fair pricing. Large enough to walk around for an hour or so.
Wide variety, some prices were a bit much. But overall great store.
I love this store. Make sure you have enough time to browse slowly. There are a lot of things you may not notice, if you dont take your time. The prices are fair and they even have layaway for more expensive items. The staff are friendly and helpful I have found so many cool unusual pieces for my home. I would highly recommend it.
Selection for a modern antique mall is great. Very pleasant atmosphere and prices are very fair. I would buy the model car in the front if it were for sale!!! If you go, plan on at least a couple of hours to look around. Lots of mid century furniture!!!
There are some nice pieces but do your due diligence on the more expensive items. We were looking at a mid century piece with a price that matched but we pulled out one of the drawers and it had a new looking plastic piece on the drawer runner. Def not mid century. Totally reproduction.I know this is the vendor who labeled the item so I dont blame Kudzu. Just know what you are buying to avoid disappointment.UPDATE: Thank you Kudzu for responding to the review. You always have loads of interesting items. We will be back.
Such a fun place to shop and walk around. I always find so much to buy here.
