I just received a phone call to notify me that the machine I had a deposit on was sold out from under me. The excuse I was given was my sales rep was out of the office yesterday and the manager sold the machine to another customer. Not much to say here other than do not trust this company to do right by you or respect your money. My next call will be reaching out to Polaris Corp to ask why their dealers feel like its an acceptable practice to treat existing Polaris customers so unprofessionally.*Edit: What you fail to say in your reply is that I spoke to my sales rep on Saturday confirming I was finalizing my purchase early in the week. His reply Hurry - nothing more. You guys could have easily called me Monday morning and asked where I was at with funding the purchase - like I do with numerous customers I sell machines too. Instead you called me the following day to tell me you sold it. Thats not good business and I suppose the sales rep didnt really care due to the lack of passing me along to someone who was working Monday. My office staff was cutting the check as I received the call which is why I asked him if he was joking with me. The lack of followup/communication on his part is the issue and I was told the deposit would hold the machine until I could get the funds cleared from my bank. I was very clear about this and he didnt take the time to reach out before just letting the machine be sold. Total lack of respect.

The team at World of Powersports in Decatur where great. Buying a lower cost used unit, I didn’t expect much. However, these people went out of their way to ensure the unit was in top shape and ready to roll out the door. They went above and beyond on my expectations. I heartily recommend them. And fair priced considering the current Covid market being as crazy as it is.

Had a great experience. I purchased a side by side. The were able to answer all of my questions. The side by side I purchased was to wide for the normal delivery trailer. They went above and beyond to find one the would work. By the time this was all done in was 7 oclock when then close at 6. Then still made the 45 minute tip to my house to drop it off and answer any more questions I may have had. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great inventory of pre-owned bikes, trikes, and quads. Down to earth staff are very friendly and happy to help. We had a real good experience on our purchase and our trade. The worst part was driving from St Louis but well worth the drive!

I live in Oklahoma, I bought a new KTM from them because they were the only dealership that had the bike I wanted. They were great people. They always called to give updates on the status of things, and even though theyre 10 hours away I will probably buy the next one from them. Give them a call!

Being a new rider the guys were great about helping figure out how to get started. I rode around the parking lot for over an hour before I felt confident enough to take it on the road. Nothing like having the wind in your face.... even at 30mph 😁

Spoke with Adrian previously about another motorcycle. That motorcycle had been sold so after browsing I found my 14’ vstar 1300 deluxe. Hadn’t been to World of Power Sports for over10 years. I bought a Triumph there at that time. This time I bought a used Suzuki scooter and dealt with Adrian. He was very helpful and patient answering all my question. Definitely a good buying experience.

Second review! I shopped online and thought I got a good price. To start it took 39 1/2 days to get my motorcycle after it was picked by the shipper that they use! This is totally unacceptable! After getting the bike took one ride fork seals were leaking. Took it too a local shop only to be told tires are bad, oil is very dirty and spark plugs needed to be changed, and air filter was completely clogged! Clear this bike was not checked prior to them shipping to me at least not a safety inspection at the very least! Prior to receiving the bike as my concerns grew communication between myself and the dealer was good, once I took delivery communication is slow! I took a full day off from work to take delivery, the shipper calls me around 6 pm to say he’ll be there later in the day which turned into 12:40 am. I’ve asked multiple time for contact information to the owner have not gotten it yet. Rita is awesome, she is currently helping me with another situation. Jordan was my salesman, he’s awesome as well! Thee manager that I have been dealing with, great communicator until I took delivery! I would say if don’t live close enough to go see whatever you’re purchasing from them then don’t do it. I will be following up with a call to the BBB, by continuing my search to contact owner.

Put a deposit down on a motorcycle 5/22/21 at the Decatur world of powersports only to get a call from the salesman today 5/26/21 wanting me to give him a call asap ...... decided to stop by before going into work . Was told that the motorcycle i put a deposit on was sold by the world of powersports in Springfield? Seems pretty shady to me . .....UPDATE ...And just a FYI, I called the General Manager to figure out why the bike was sold after i put a deposit and he pretty much told me that someone else that had possibly previously looked at the motorcycle was able to either pay for it outright or secure a loan to make the purchase....so a deposit doesnt mean a thing to these people...just know if you put a deposit down on something they have and tell them you will come back with cash on a specific date THEY WILL NOT HONOR YOUR DEPOSIT AND WILL SELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE .

First time purchasing at world of sports in Decatur il. They have a large building with a extraordinary amount of motorcycles plus. The experience of dealing with people who ride and know what they sell was real good. Jordan and Rick were working to make my visit result in the cycle I wanted. I traveled a 100 miles to get what I wanted. Then when I talked with a guy from Wisconsin who came even farther to also purchase; that made good sense. I have to say I like this dealership. Very extensive inventory and prices that work. They are fast and efficient.

So far everything is good. However, I am still waiting on shipping information. I also asked for some pictures of the motorcycle I purchased, but have not received a reply. I would like to say that both the sales and accounting personnel that I had worked with was very helpful and professional.

I just purchased a 2009 Yamaha Stratoliner on 3/27/2021. The manager Rick was awesome to deal with. My salesman Dalton was very knowledgeable, polite and patient. Everyone that I met and talked to made me feel welcomed and appreciated. Tiffany is an awesome, patient person. She handled all my payments over the winter. My bike is awesome, it looks just like it did online.I was shopping around for my Stratoliner and this dealership was the ABSOLUTE BEST to deal with. Worst experience ever. I ordered and paid for a brand new polaris ranger at the end of February. I also ordered and paid for installation of a roof and windshield. The employee ordered the wrong one so they had to order the correct one. Now, its been 2 1/2 months and i still havent received it and no one will answer me on when they will arrive.

I purchased a 1998 Yahama Virago May 21, 2021 and it was delivered by a private transporter June 5, 2021. I live 450 mi. from Springfield. The salesman I dealt with quit in the middle of the dealing which explained why I couldnt get answers to some questions, in particular, had the carbs been synchronized. I was assured by a sales manager that there was a slight hesitation upon acceleration, but that would be quickly remedied by the turn of a screw and they would take care of that before shipping. When my transporter arrived to pickup, even after giving 2-3 days notice that he would be in on Thurs. May 27, when he arrived nothing had been done to prep the bike and according to him, no one seemed to know anything about it. My hauler was delayed 2 hr. 45 min. while I hoped the bike prep would include carb adjustment. The bike arrived Fri. 6-4 and when I took it for a drive around the block it backfired, surged, missed and generally was not fit to drive. I guess misrepresentation is the word Im looking for regarding this transaction. Caveat Emptor...let the buyer beware when dealing with this company.Updated July 15, 2021:My purchase was made at the Springfield store in May, 2021, not Decatur. I will stand by my complaint. My bike is finally in the shop. The diagnosis is as follows: carbs out of synch and need to be rebuilt, intake manifold is cracked, and old gas in tank needs flushing. Cost: $620.00 JZ Cycle Repair, Lincoln, NE. I hope to be able to ride the motorcycle late in the week of July 19th.While I was told the bike was ready to go and ran great, whoever concluded that must have been riding a new Honda.I have had several cordial phone conversations with Jason, gen. mgr. of the Springfield store and sent a audio/video of the poor running condition of the Virago 1100 for him to hear and view the validity of my complaint. Any appreciable help that can be given on the above repair bill would cause me to revise my review in a more positive light.

It is not their fault that they are over 160 miles away from me. I was lead to this store because they had the best inventory (seemingly over 150 vehicles new and used) and the friendliest staff that was willing to listen to my needs and make me comfortable with my purchase. Online search, do I gamble with a three hour drive to one place and then three hours back?A motorcycle is not a cheeseburger. You dont just buy it. You actually have to see if it fits you. I got to drive two bikes that I was interested in and chose one. Left a deposit, came back two days later and finished it off.Jordan was my point person when I reached out. Just a big friendly guy who was as accommodating and he was knowledgeable. But this man is busy, not a bad problem to have. If you have an appointment with him and he is with someone else, he will bounce back and forth without passing you off to someone else. Hard work. Appreciated.Finance was easy, got bought in a matter of minutes. Prices are labeled, but I was able to negotiate just a little bit further, dont expect thousands. You will get a deal that is more than fair. Finance person, he sure can talk. But is as friendly as the day is long and just cool as ever to chat with about things not-business related.Here is a bit of advice, open a store in the burbs of Chicago. I promise you your business will be boiling over. We need this here!

Purchase during the Plague!I had been shopping for that best deal on an ATV for several months. Decided on a new 2019 Yamaha Kodiak 700 EPS, and was talking with several dealerships that had them in stock. Rick was responding to my emails within ~5min at 10PM. Had a deal that was very reasonable within a few emails. Came down to pick it up within the week. Had it setting out for a little test spin. Did my paper work and was set to go. Did have a concern on a headlight issue that I didnt notice till after the deal was done. Another sales rep that I believe wasnt even involved with the deal took the time to check it out and even showed me on a 2020 model that it was normal function. Thats the extra time IMO that earns the 5 stars. Thanks!

Apparently none of the staff wanted to make a sale this evening because I was in the store for close to an hour and no one approached me as I went back & forth between 2 bikes that I was debating on.But thats okay. I can spend my money elsewhere.

I have purchased multiple UTVs and motorcycles from World of Powersports. During the pandemic, Jordan helped me with my vehicle search, provided recommendations on what UTV would best suit my needs and make sure I was totally satisfied. I will continue to take the drive from Naperville to Decatur to buy my dirt bikes and UTVs from the Powersports family.

Would like to do a review of the kawasaki ninja zx10r that was paid for on 11/27. Was told it was shipped on 11/30 its now 12/12 still nothing. But I have the title so I guess I can wear my helmet and carry the title around the block and play motorcycle sounds on my cellphone.

Great place to purchase what your looking for. I bought a used 2008 burgman 400 in real good condition with a little over 8000 miles on it, I highly recommend them.

I love the bike and the shop but my salesman was horrible. I left from Centralia at 11:30, didnt get there until 4pm and he didnt even have the bike close to ready. Then I picked a different bike and told him several times I wanted to keep my old plates and he said no problem. The plates were sentimental and after telling me several times he would exchange plates instead of new ones he DID NOT. Then there was some uneven wear on the front tire. We told him we would like the bearing checked while changing tires and he completely ignored me. I love your shop and your bike selection but I almost left several times on account of the salesmanship.

Had a great experience. Matt was helpful and had good knowledge of the motorcycles I was looking at. I will be back when it’s time to look at a Jetski or 4wheeler for sure.
