I had an issue with my axles. I tried a few mechanics, including my cars local dealership, and was baffled at the high cost to replace the parts. The car was in such trouble from a driving and safety standpoint. I was emotionally preparing myself to purchase a new car. Then I found Decatur Garage. They were easy to communicate with (even while I was on vacation, they kept in contact). They were very professional and timely. I went on a 3 day vacation and they had my car ready and fixed by the time I returned. The car hasnt run this smoothly in over a year and a half. I will continue to use Decatur Garage for all my engine needs.

Davis and Ms. Marianne give you the best service, punctual, hands on information about your vehicle, he really go out of his way to make you feel like you are truly a special customer. I learned so much about my car that I didnt know before for the seventeen years I have it. He even went out of his way to give me extra stuff for my car. And to top it off I was feeling really bad when my car stop on the road at a stop light and his encouraging words was a breath of fresh air I really didnt feel as bad anymore. 2002 996TT and 1987 944T. John and his team are totally competent and experienced and I trust their advice and work completely. The only service shop my Porsches will know so long as I own them; I cant think of stronger way to express my confidence..

Im really not sure where all the five-star ratings come from. But this guy does not want to do any work. Im not even sure if hes even really qualified to work on Porsche.

Took my car here for a second opinion on some work that needed to be done. Was informed that the repairs would exceed the value of my car and that it would be wise to look at getting something else. Saved me from making a costly mistake . Very nice, very honest, very quick. Will be coming here in the future for any car issues. Great place

This is a great independent shop for Porsche service. The owner could not be more honest. You really get the sense that he wants your repeat business and will be above board with you.

Ive had many cars serviced here and have been treated very fairly. John and his crew are very knowledgeable and specialize in Porsche,BMW, Mercedes and all European cars but also know a lot about older cars of all makes. Great little shop!

John & Marianne are the best! Ive owned 3 Hondas in the past 32 years & John has been the primary mechanic on all 3. He never fixes whats not broke & takes the time to explain what does need fixing. I know I can trust them & would never trust a dealership or anyone else with my car.

After reading some reviews and speaking to the owners a few times, I decided to take my Cayman to their shop for my 40k mile service, instead of Jim Ellis. I DO NOT regret it, and can say I will take any work I may need to get done to them. I even got a screw in my tire and they patched it for free for me just recently. They are incredibly personable and seem to care about forming a real relationship with their customers. If you get a chance, take a peak at the nifty projects they have going on in there.

In the process of calling several local garages to help with specific repairs needed for my vehicle, this shop was recommended to me. Upon calling I let the woman who answered and later identified herself as the manager of this shop, know that I had my own parts purchased before hand, aware that many garages have a policy that won’t allow them to work with pre purchased parts. Not once in my calls was I asked who had told me I needed all these parts. I replied, verbatim, “im sorry!, I don’t see how that’s of any consequence.” Her voice stiffened immediately, believe me I know this sounds silly but I believe it is important to clarify bc it’s hard to reiterate tone through a Facebook review and my intent is not to be an angry online person leaving terrible ratings for no reason. Her voice stiffened, she became abrupt and told me I was better off taking my business elsewhere and hung up without giving me any chance to ask any questions or even say thank you for your time. I even tried to call back and explain how I felt offended at the way she handled the call, instead of leave this review and she immediately raised her voice and interrupted me non stop. I’m sure this place does good mechanical work but the customer service was incredibly offensive and that alone would deter me seeking assistance from this place.
