Publix is alright. The staff is always nice and ready to help. There is a variety of items to get. The best thing is that there are a lot of deals that can save you money. The only thing I dont like is the self checkout. The bagging part is really frustrating for me. Other than that, I recommend this place.

I usually LOVE publix, so it hurts me that i have to leave this review. on 10/24/21 at 4:45PM, i placed a pickup order for 2 subs from the deli. i arrived at 5:07PM, there was a packed line at the deli, and the man behind the counter is preparing one sandwich. i go over to find my order from the pickup location, and it’s not there. whilst i’m trying to figure out where my order is, a lady from the bakery i’m assuming, comes out banging pans together and YELLING at us!!! she said that we were waiting for no reason because they were out of bread. so not only did i not EVER get my subs, i got yelled at by the lady whose fault it was that there wasn’t any bread. if subway can keep bread baked and stocked so can publix, instead of complaining she should’ve made sure she did her job and made enough damn bread.

I love Publix. They have everything the other stores dont have! I love their subs from the deli and the deli worker, Eli, hes so friendly and makes the perfect sub!

We dont typically buy all our groceries here, but well do a pickup order if we need something quickly. Some items are a little more expensive than other places, but it is a lot more convenient and quicker too.

Publix is the best grocery store in the area. Shelf prices are slightly higher, but I use coupons & apps like Ibotta to get savings that make prices equal to inferior grocers with a much better shopping experience.

In the past I enjoyed going to Decaturs Publix but lately checking out is becoming self service only. They never have more than one person checking people out, while customers are lining up the length of the store. They have gotten to the point where they are no better than Wal-Mart.

Prices have reduced some & coupons makes it very cost efficient. Great ppl here & the pharmacist are wonderfully helpful. Checkouts are a little slow. Mind you most places are due to lack of workers lately.

I LOVE going to Publix Beltline Decatur ... The people are so helpful and friendly ... The store is SUPER clean and very well organized ... the meat department is a step above. You never have to wait to get checked out .. they are waiting for you and ready to assist in any way possible ... Publix is to supermarkets what Chick FIL A is to fast food ... Ya know, Ive always loved publix and how helpful people are at this store, no matter which one Ive gone to. But lately this publix has been over helpful and its very annoying. The both incidents took place in the self checkout line and could have been avoided with a basic glance at my cart. The first time, I had an employee offer to take my hand basket.. while it had my personal items in it as well as groceries. Then today, I had barely scanned my first two items and I was bagging them. Employee came over to grab a hand basket that had been left, then reached in front of me and selected the pay button for me. I still had a cart full of groceries. Maybe along with the helpfulness training, train your employees to observe what the hell is going on before they react

As always love the sushi, the deli sandwiches that they make right in front of you, and the great bakery. Every employee i have come across was exceptionally nice and helpful.

I would have given 5 stars, but when I shopped there today, the register wasnt loading my coupons from the app & we spent 5 minutes having to pull items out of my cart, verifying that I had coupons added to my account & then taking them off at the register manually. Otherwise, its a very well stocked, clean store. They have a great selection of gluten-free items as well. Buy one get one free are great. Prices are a bit high, so I usually only go when there is a good sale.

I started my 1st Instacart shop at the Decatur, AL. location today. It was very crowded and busy; all employees were extremely helpful! I want to give a special shout out to Carl. He took the time to guide, teach, help me through the entire check out process. Thank you to the entire Publix team, I look forward to many more instacart orders.

Day by day they are loosing the name .I shop here almost every alternate day, Now a days there is a lot of delay in restocking, may be the need to hire more employees .Some times racks are empty in morning, evening .

Did not find what I was looking for. Their produce is always. Store is not close to my residence so I rarely go there.

IMHO Publix is THE best grocery store, period.

This Publix wasnt my normal store but I had business next door. As all the public stores Ive gone to, it well stocked and very clean. The employees always ask if I needed help and would walk me to where it was at. Publix has the customer service down pat.

I was there the other day to pick up my girlfriend and all the workers was just pointing at me talking about me I have never felt so insecure and uncomfortable they just made me feel so bad about my self and everybody just surrounding my car I thought publix are supposed to be nice and welcoming not the opposite

This Publix is great, and Ive shopped here for many years! Once during a very hard time in my life, and I couldnt get a ride to any food pantries, I called Publix to ask about those brown bags they had in the front for Feeding America and if they had a spare, and the manager asked me to come to the store. I went, and left with a ton of food from the deli, and a gallon of tea!I will never forget their act of kindness and generosity. That food nourished my soul🙏❤

Great place! Tessie in checkout and Chris in the meat department are especially helpful, although everyone there seems pleasant and competent. I do wish management wouldnt allow people to park in the fire lane, backing up traffic, while they wait for someone to finish shopping.

Definitely a step above most places in terms of customer service. Grocery prices are comparable, sometimes a little higher. This is just the expected price you pay for a cleaner store and a more friendly and helpful staff. The forced lines from them always seem at least halfway genuine, which is really all you can ask for honestly.The Deli alone is worth the stop. Daily soup selections, fresh rotisserie chickens, hot food, dinner plates, and of Course Pub Subs. Publixs sub sandwiches put your typical footlong sub to shame. Fresh cut Boars Head meat and sauces, crisp vegetables, or even cut up chicken tenders from the hot bar if you really want a treat. A++

I am gravity-challenged and walking is an effort. I love the scooters here: their battery is fully charged, mostly. Zipping around with the wind in my beard is a heady experience.But what is best is that the staff (and patrons, too!) spontaneously ask if I need help reaching something on a high shelf. Cashiers and baggers both are friendly and even laugh when I made a dad-joke: service above and beyond the call of duty.Whilst shopping I usually hug the outside aisles, and rarely visit the aisles themselves. Their prepared food is excellent, although a shade pricey. Anything else I select only the BOGO items to keep the total sane.

Just picked up a Strawberry Peach Sensation. It was amazing. I have ordered this particular cake a few times. Each time is was very good. This time they out did themselves.

Much better atmosphere than Walmart. Its a bit more expensive than some other grocery stores, but to me I will pay the difference to avoid walmart. If you buy clearance its, watch them at the register. Those tend to ring up higher than priced
