Maybe its the times we are living in, but they really need checkers that can do the job and not complain about everything

I love the popcorn up front, and find many items here that you cant find anywhere else! Great products.

A visit to downstate is not complete without a stop at Rural King. What other store would let you get a battery for your ATV, spare parts for tractor, a few ducks or chickens, and some nice, heavy duty pants or shirts? Wish we had these in Connecticut.

Cashier fine today. Plan on loading potting soil and other garden center items yourself. Tonight two yard employees watched myself and another woman both in dress clothes load our 2 cubic bags of potting soil. Recent visit cashier told me to pick up my pool chemicals on her counter,. Honestly self checkout and self loading retailer. Do it yourself while employees watch customer work.

Shopping was great and staff was helpful but the Rural King duck tap product did not work well at all.

This is a great place to go for hardware and farm equipment. Very friendly staff made me feel welcome. With such a large selection of great products if they dont have it then you dont need it.

I just wish that Rural King was as fully stocked as Lowes or even Menards. We went specifically for some clear plastic tubing, found some but not what we needed. Probably need to goto True Value. Or maybe even a larger store. Amazon maybe.

Went in to get my boys rabbit an outside hutch. The staff was helpful with getting it down and into my car

Bought 2 4wheelers from them 1 has been there for a month. It needs a starter cant get one they say. I called coleman. They have them starters in stock. Just get a run around from rural king. Taking it home with out starter. I guess Ill get one from Amazon. Dont buy nothing from them.

The young man working the gun counter was super helpful. He even got me help for another department. Made me feel like if he could help he would in any way he need to. Customer service as it was and should be.

Great workers were very helpful

One particular staff member stood out to me on this visit... An older gentleman who works in the gun and ammunition department! He was a veteran who was proud of having served his country but had a very sweet demeanor. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and exchanged service stories. Id visit again just to laugh and talk politics with him. He knew where the other items were that we needed in the store as well. Definitely 5 star visit!

Was havin trouble finding what i was looking for .workers were kinda in there own wourld. Once I found items I thought would do the trick. Check out girl .seemed like she could use some batteries 🤓not very freindly. I didnt get this kinda experience in Litchfield

Ran in to pick up a small space heater and a flashlight. Was able to quickly locate both items and pay for them and exit store in under half hour! Store has extensive inventory and reasonable prices.Only negative is that because of the virus I was unable to get any of their delicious popcorn!!! Hopefully soon...

Rural king has a lot to offer! Pet food and supplies, did you know you can take your pets in there for a shopping trip? I’ve seen dogs, and some cute kitties shopping with their humans. Food, snacks, clothing, shoes, sporting goods, guns and ammo!! Tools, and paint, and much more! I recently got a great item from RK, I even assembled it myself. It’s a butcher block work bench. The price kept going down, it was a bargain and an awesome purchase! Photos below. I highly recommend RK for all your home needs!

Let me juat say i pretty good at ignoring the wife in stores and just go... uh huh .. every now and then so she knows i am still breathing cause i hate shopping but it makes her happy.. so i go well cause Blue Balls suck and not in a good way BUT Rural King i can be there for a hour looking down the isles...

Alot people not wearing masks. Ive gotten my shots and I have to wear a mask come on people follow the rules please.

We went Rural King for lawn mower parts, they had everything I needed. The staff went the extra mile for my wife and I . They cross referenced my part numbers, made easy for us . Very friendly staff . Will return love this place.

I have bought everything from clothes to chainsaws to Firearms at the Macon County Rural King always had the best service. And having a year-round 90 day layaway for everything in the store. And 60 day on firearms is great too

Love the store but while spening a couple hours in the gun dept buying a gun from the one associate behind the counter I watched customer after customer turn around and walk out. This could be one of the biggest sales opportunities in the county going unrealized. They could have easily kept 3 saleman busy on this Saturday.

Real neat place.

Rural King is great in general because they are Second Amendment supporters, they have great merchandise and decent prices. This one in the Mount Zion / Decatur area is really great period nice and friendly people, and if you call ahead they will let you know if they have ammunition in during this ammunition shortage, and they do not gouge you on the prices!

Their always fully stocked and very friendly. And fair prices.

PROS: Rural King has an amazing assortment of dog toys and treats as well as farm family faith items. I enjoy shopping here! Great place to find work jeans at a great price!! If I have any CONS they would be with this Covid garbage its difficult to put things up on the counter to ring up which takes longer and wish the Yoder baking items were fresher.

Went there looking for a rangefinder for hunting. Asked the two employees behind the counter if they had any. With dumbfounded looks on their faces. I was told no they just had scopes and binoculars. Walked around the corner and in a locked case were two kinds of Rangefinders. So I began waiting patiently as there were other customers that they were helping. Waited there for about 15-20 minutes. Both employees looked at me as I was waiting by the case, never acknowledged me or asked if there was anything else they could help with. Nothing just completely ignored me. These guys probably shouldnt be working in sporting goods if they dont even know what a Rangefinder is.

They have no carts for handicap people and it is an extremely large store to walk with limited ability.. They need to take into consideration the other people of society..

Doesnt seem like the store it used to be. Hardly any horse equipment or feed. Shavings are awful for horse bedding.

I like the store but they used to give out popcorn and I miss that.

The Store itself was good, the product selection was good but the employees were horrible. The Girl at the entrance was rude almost beyond belief. I ask for assistance from an employee on the floor & he just mumbled & walked away never to be seen again. The kid at the register never spoke a word (other than the total of my order) or looked in my direction. Hopefully if I ever go back thing will be different.

Big fan of the popcorn. Good selection of food items and clothing in addition to farm and work equipment.

Checkout made me go back 2 times to confirm 2 prices I questioned. Only gave me 1 corrected amount on my ticket even after I told her 3 times what the prices above the seed showed. Would not check for herself or ask someone on the floor to check it out. Frustrated to say the least.

They dont care about customers or employees christa is one of the worst mangers out there . They need better management and half of bags of feed are broke and mice running around in the back and its not safe to work there because the pen to employees against each other and caused a fist fight such a wonderful place

Great place, Ive bought a lot of things from them, and Ive purchased 2 guns from them so far and they are easy to work with and they have layaway not like most places where you have to pay flat out. Its nice to be able to make payments and you have 2 months if you need it.

Great store for farm and automotive needs. Nobody beats their price on synthetic automotive oil! Free popcorn before Covid. Great prices on firearms when they are having a sale.
