Very friendly, patient, and informative staff. The people that frequent the establishment also pitch in to help out with information and insight. I have to say it was a very positive experience with every single interaction, whether on the phone or in person. I cannot say I have a single complaint. Two thumbs up.

Board Knight is awesome. I go for Magic, but also good for pretty much any card, board or role-playing game. Owners and staff are wonderful; its a fun and welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages.

I always feel ignored. But if you wanna get mtg cards this place is the best if you already know what you want when you walk in.

Great place! I go to a lot of the full-line game stores in Illinois and this is one of the best. They have a smaller inventory than some, but will order what you need. The important thing is that they are always friendly, and willing to help, especially if youre like me and are indecisive on what to get. Krystle has helped me pick out probably 3 or 4 board games and all of them were great! They have a shelf full of board games for playing, in case youre on the fence about one, although not all of the board games they sell have another copy that you can play. Also, Tom has been very helpful in teaching me how to play Magic : The Gathering, and theres almost always other people there playing it.

If you like Magic: the Gathering, this is a great game store. Otherwise the selection is pretty small.

The man who helped us was very nice! They didnt have the game we went in for, but he helped us find another one that fit our needs. We will definitely be back!

Board Knight is the Gaming Store Decatur has been waiting for... and the gaming store it deserves. Everyone goes out of their way to make it feel like a second home filled with surrogate family. Like any family, we could use a bit more space, but once you visit youll be hard pressed to hold it against them. Come on down and prepare to stay a while. :)

A nice place to meet & greet. The drinks are the 💣. Mosttly cheap until u get into the domestic drinks. The food is of good quality.Also, the place is clean from whatI I can tell.I will return

This is a great place to find off-beat board games and other card based games. The owner, Krystal, is super nice and the place is a charm to visit.

Im a gaming enthusiast. I enjoy playing a variety of games, I enjoy going to gaming conventions. Heck, I run a gaming club. Im a gamer.I tell you this so youll believe me when I say this - Board Knight is second to none.They have a pretty nice selection of in-stock board games (and they can special order for you anything that they dont stock). Their prices are very reasonable - about what you would pay from the discount online retailers - and hey, youre supporting a local store. Theyre heavily into the Magic: The Gathering scene. They have a ton of cards (packs and individuals) and accessories like sleeves and deck boxes. They have a nice assortment of role playing game items. And theyve also started carrying comics!They also do a great job of holding events. The back part of their store is tables, and theyre always doing something - either a MtG event, tourney, etc, or board gaming, or Warhammer events, or hosting RPGs. Theres usually a lively crowd!Owners Kevin and Krystle are amazing. Theyre friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. If you dont know what you want (maybe youre buying a gift), theyll work with you to find something great.There is ample parking in front and behind the store. They also sell snacks and drinks if you decide to try out one of the many games from their demo shelf.So check them out next time youre in the downtown Decatur area!
