Joe was such a great help on our first visit here to Atlantic Fine Woods. This family owned wood shop sells beautiful local and exotic wood. We learned exactly where Joe found several pieces and we ended up purchasing a poplar slab for a desk. We were so pleasantly surprised by this HIDDEN gem! It is tucked behind a couple of stores but I am grateful we turned around found it.

Joe was very welcoming upon arrival to my first “real” lumberyard. This was my first time ever going to a lumberyard, so I didn’t know what to expect . From the moment I walked in, he was super friendly, and very knowledgeable about all types of species of woods. It was very interesting listening to him describe all the many facets of hardwoods and you could literally learn more from Joe in 30 minutes than watching hours and hours of YouTube videos . Also, they have quite a versatile selection of slabs and many other types of woods . You can have it milled on site as well . I would recommend anyone interested in woodworking or anyone in need of some fine woods to stop by Atlantic Fine Woods for quality products and excellent customer service .

This is a great place to buy wood slabs if youre interested in making live-edge tables or shelves. The owners are really friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I will definitely return to buy wood for my next project.

Joe has some of the best slabs on the market. Dried properly (unlike most of the FB market slabs), and domestics are locally sourced, with a nice selection of some truly gorgeous african imports as well. 100% my go to for live edge slabs.

This place is small in size but grand in concept and excellent in delivery of unique furniture tailored to the customers requests. I came in to find ideas for library shelves and left ordering and receiving beautiful charcuterie cutting boards and ideas to customize my home office. The staff are artistic with a background in architecture and they listen well! Its an experience and your product will personalize and uplift your home!

They were great here. I went in looking for material for a table top. They were super friendly and helpful. Not a huge place but nice with Plenty of variety. And locally sourced too is super cool.

My knowledge of wood is pretty extensive... or so I thought, until I came across Atlantic Fine Woods. The selections of wood have a variety of uses and come from all over the world! The attention to detail and processes that Laura and Joe take when addressing customers concerns when crafting their products is nothing less than exceptional. Having several of their products and one project underway, I recommend this place to anyone looking for any unique, lasting wood products that are sure to strike up a conversation when onlookers and guests say wow! where did that come from! Never the less, check them out, you wont be disappointed.

I came in looking for walnut, but my jaw dropped at their selection. Ended up going with cherry slabs for my project, and the owners were super accommodating. The cherry had beautiful figuring. Would love to be back.

Perfect place to get locally sourced or imported/exotic high quality wood. As a novice woodworker, the owner was incredibly helpful with selecting the type of wood for my project and helping me cut some boards to length. The pricing was transparent and fair. I will definitely return for future projects!

If youre looking for some good hard wood, this is the place. From what I can tell theyre family owned and operated and very friendly. They have fair prices and knowledgeable staff. I found my new spot!

The Lady was pretty rude and hung up on me.I am a teacher by trade but also a small time woodworker on the side.(aka: a real person) I recently felled a black walnut tree on my property and milled it myself. I was curious if I could make any money with it and was calling to inquire if they bought wood from small time guys like me. She said no. When I asked if she knew of a place I could sell it, she interrupted me and stated, No its a common question and I dont have an answer for you. goodbye...click It isnt the rudest anyone has been to me but it was rude. I cant imagine myself doing business with them. I visited their location about a year ago and the selection was very small. This is the behavior of someone with a struggling business desperate for money so if they smell that you have money, and you are slick enough, you may get a good deal from their limited selection. But not me. I do not like dealing with cold blooded people. So this is a burnt bridge for me.

Great family owned sawmill. Lots of local hardwoods as well as some cool exotics. They even have ebony! Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me sort through the stacks and find a piece that worked my project. They have a great selection of live edge wood harvested from local fallen trees as well as exotics.
