Super friendly, excellent work!
Jack is a treasure. He spent several hours with me to find the perfect accordion for me and helping me to understand advantages of each type. That all while sprinkling in jokes. Walking out of his place I had every tool I needed to learn including a lead on lessons.
Jack and Stephanie of Accordionology have excellent knowledge and skill regarding repairing all the complexities of so many varieties of accordions and concertinas! It is a pleasure to do business with such nice people!Cheryl S.Atlanta, GA
Very helpful and informative!
Very friendly, skilled, and knowledgeable—I learned a lot about the literal ins and outs of my accordion. Flexible and easy to work with, attentive to issues needing addressed. Sorry — this went to a different email account for posting, but I am a librarian in the Southeast! 🤣
Jack is very friendly and professional. Though accordions are his specialty, we took our harmonium for repair and were happy with his service. I will recommend him to my friends.
Accordionology is one of Atlantas great musical treasures. Jack is a seasoned professional restorer and musician with the skill of a wizard and the patience of a saint. Ten out of ten! If youre an accordion player or about to become one, drop what youre doing and get to Accordionology right now.My experience:I bought a used accordion from a reputable dealer online, but it arrived damaged. Resolved to get the opinion and help of a professional, I found Accordionology. Response was immediate and follow up was impeccable.Jack agreed to look at pictures of the instrument and provide a perspective, which turned out to be spot on. Jack never even asked for a consulting fee. I returned the instrument to the other dealer and a week later was in Jacks shop.Im a day one beginner on accordion, though im a conservatory trained musician doubling on many instruments. All I knew about accordion was what I had read. After half an hour with Jack, I was much better informed and ready to make the right decision.Jack had exactly what I needed at a price you couldnt match in a year of searching. His eyes positively gleamed with satisfaction when I told him I thought the instrument was worth a lot more than he was asking.I know, he said with a mischievous grin.Jack knew exactly what I needed, and more than that, he was deeply motivated to get the right thing into my hands. Its clear that Jack does what he does out of love for and commitment to the community. Hes exactly what a restorer and dealer should be: an ally and a mentor.Ill never go anywhere else for accordions or repairs. Theres no point. Im not going to find better than Jack and Accordionology. And you wont either. There IS nothing better.Ive been in music for 35 years. Ive dealt with dealers, makers, teachers, and repairers all my life. Ive bought used and custom instruments many times. Ive worked with every stripe of professional.None of them holds a candle to Jack. This man is priceless.Stop looking at instruments online. Set up an appointment with Accordionology right now. But be ready to buy. The chances are excellent that hes got what you need.Highest praise for Accordionology.
I had questions about the value of my moms accordions and Jack went out of his way to provide excellent information about them! It is extremely rare these days to get such awesome customer service, thank you so very very much.
Jack and Stephanie have always done a great, quality job repairing my accordions and at a reasonable price. I am so glad I found them!
I was so excited to have met accordion experts Jack Brantley and Stephanie. What a team and great experience learning more about my old accordions.I can’t wait to finally play with pure sound and proper bellows.Thank you!!Danese Knott-CraigALabama
Accordionology is the squeezebox jewel of the Southeast! Jack and his crew have helped me on numerous occasions, fixing sticky keys and tuning my old Borsini, providing a rental for a gig in a pinch. Jack also helped me source and outfit a new internally mic’ed Hohner that has been great for larger stages, recording, and messing around with pedals. His shop is a must-stop for music lovers of all flavors.
We who live in and around Atlanta are fortunate to have Accordionology in our midst. Jack and Steph are extremely knowledgeable re fixing accordions. I took him an accordion that my Mom played as a teenager back in the 1940’s. It’s sentimental to me, and I mostly keep it on display in my home. However, I would like to tinker around with it once in a while. He knew exactly what was needed for my instrument’s intended use. Very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend!
I bought a Baldoni accordian from Jack last week. The Baldoni is one of many instruments that Jack restores. He not only does beautiful work, but is also very honest and transparent. He made it clear to me that it was more important to sell me an instrument that would suit me than a more expensive instrument that may not be as suitable.
Wonderful place!!!
