The kolaches from this location taste so much better than the ones from la Porte. Idk what they’re doing different but I swear there’s a huge difference. The first ones are from deer park and the other from la Porte :)

Wonderful people, Wonderful donuts and wonderful service! Today I waited a few minutes to get Hot glazed donuts and although I was happy to wait, I was given 2 extra donuts for having to wait. SO Sweet! Shipleys always takes care of their customers. PS. The donuts are DELICIOUS!!!! Absolutely worth the wait.

Monday morning before 8am they werent busy at all, Tuesday around 8:30am I wasnt sure the parking lot or building could fit me in to pick up my called ahead order. Great customer service, very friendly & helpful. Left over donuts still good the next day.

My daughters #1 place for donuts and Kolaches. Great service and she asked for a box for her donuts and they had no problem giving to us. Wonderful experience even though I can only enjoy the donuts.

Used to be better, counter help obviously dont want to be there, at 5 AM they are selling donuts that were obviously made the day before, very disappointing

The quality of their kolaches and donuts have gone down, you can tell the donuts are left over from the day before and this was the second time the kolache was cold and the bread hard. I wish Bosa Donuts was still around.

If you order anything besides glazed they wont know what you mean and will mess it up. Maybe they should have pictures with the name of the donut for the new people so they arent so confused and just give you glazed.

Still one of my all time favorite donuts. Also, Sausage Jalapeño Kolaches are the best.

My 3 sons favorite donut place I know they are small mom n pop shops an they also have dunkin donuts down the street but they would rather have shipleys you cannot beat there fresh donuts as well as there kolaches.

The donuts are awsome in the morning. But if you feel like having a donut later in the day for a treat. I dont recommend this place. The donut i got was very dry. Maybe if you stick it in the microwave for a few seconds... But like i said if you want a great donut bestvto go in the morning.

Bad customer service! Have been here a couple of times and it never fails, I always get the same lady with bad customer service. Will have 2 find another donut place.

I should have gone to the Federal location instead! The fritter I ordered was burnt and old. The bread on the Kolache my partner ordered was so hard they had to tear it off. They told me everything was fresh smh...liars. Then again it was after 10 am and Texans know the fresh batches come out early in the morning!

Was given burnt kolaches, they replace them with some that literally was mushed and broken in the bag! Then when I say no to those, the employee said stop being so picky TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Cold glazed donuts

I went this morning at 5:50, thinking about surprising my fam with donde donuts and kolaches. Very disappointed they gave me cold donuts, and the glazed where darker than usual I really think they were old donuts although she went to the back to get them.. I dont usually buy donuts but when I do its Shipleys but thus location Is trash.. everytime I buy theres something not right about their donuts..

First time I have ever visited Shipleys was today. I came in and there was no menu with prices. There was just blank monitors with nothing displayed. I asked the employee what the price was for half a dozen donuts and for a full dozen. She told me the prices and then told me each individual donut was .99. I ordered 6 donuts and when she rang up my order I was not given the half dozen price. I was priced 4 donuts at .99 each and 2 donuts at 1.79 a piece. I understand what happened here but I should have been told that there were Specialty Donuts and that they cost more. The worker obviously knew I was ordering a half dozen donuts and expecting that price. Shady business practice.

Always greeted with a cheerful smile or giggle ...as if the staff actually enjoy their job! Very refreshing...BEST DONUTS ANYWHERE ON EARTH 🌍

I recently.moved back to deer park from North Dakota. For 13 years i have bragged about shipleys donuts who when i lived here had such good business i was served hot fresh glazed donuts. Tada ! Todays my birthday and my kids go and get me the donuts my mouth has watered for for the time ive been gone, and to my major disappointment they come back with box of nasty crusted cold donuts. So let down.:(

This location is the only Shipleys I have ever had a problem with. The line was very long and not moving. It took about 40min to finally get my food (from the time I pulled up to the time I got my food). All I ordered was 2 bags of donut holes and a kolache. The lady was going extremely slow like she just didnt want to be there. It would help if there was a working register by the window instead of going to the farthest one (I think it was the only one working/on, multiple people used it). Ive been to extremely busy locations that dont take anywhere near this long. Good thing I live waaaayyyyy on the other side of town.

Its Sunday morning and the drive-thru line was long and slow. I did not understand their question about white or yellow filling in the eclair. I got white I think maybe the yellow would have been the traditional filling, the white filling appeared to be whipped cream. I ordered three eclairs and three glazed donuts. When I got home I had the eclairs but no Donuts. Theyre not bad, but they need work.

Forget Krispy Kreme. Shipleys is the bomb! Never had them before but I am a believer now. Owners were super friendly and know about customer service!

Donuts are not bad, but 90% of the time service is, the last time I was through the window, there were like at least 3 employees, it wasnt pack and I waited for over 2 songs (about 6 minutes?) after being ignored I finally went in and I told the cashier oh yeah I was waiting several minutes through the window and she replied dont you see Im busy here?.... I was a regular for years but not anymore, goodbye donuts

Enjoy this donut shop one of the best in town the only thing is on the weekends they run out of jalapeno kolaches. Which is my favorite but the three visits I havent been able to get one... Other than that the donuts are great and they have many to choose from.

Shipleys Donuts has always been a favorite donut shop of mine. I have been going there for years. I am so glad that the Shipleys on Center Street in Deer Park has great hours so I am able to go late versus early morning. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Great visit.

Coffee is always good and a large variety of fresh and warm doughnuts, kolaches. Employees are friendly and their housekeeping is excellent. Plenty of free parking!

Its just not the same since the move.It seems there are a lot of unhappy employees, they arent friendly, not even a smile. They move slowly and seem bothered. The parking lot drive through is a mess. There should also be a line guide for inside.The Donuts are always good and mostly fresh and hot. Just need to work on customer service

A dozen hot glazed donuts from Shipleys on N. Ive been to many different shipleys around Houston area, Pasadena, Dear Park, and La Porte. To me, the donuts are consistent at this one compared to most others Ive visited. Friendly service. You are next to a school, so its usually pretty busy but worth it.

Oh so fattening and oh so delicious! Big Earl kolache w jalapeno, sausage and cheese kolache, sausage and cheese w jalapeno kolache are very scrumptious! The plain glazed donuts are always warm and fresh. I gained 5 pounds just writing this review. Each kolache is around 300 calories. I had to subtract one star because they dont serve decaf coffee.

Shipleys needs to figure out the drive through.It is crowded and the line is slow

Ive always been a Shipleys fan. The glazed donuts and sausage and cheese kolaches are fresh and delicious. Today I went by and got my usual donuts and kolaches. The kolaches were warm and delicious. However, the donuts were cold. I was slightly disappointed...

Ive heard people complain about service in this shop but I dont care. Their donuts are amazing!!! The plain glaze ones are just to die for if you get there in the morning before nine when there still hot and the icing is dripping off! I dont care much for any of the other varieties but there okay. The glaze ones are amazing!

Asked for a regular kolache and 2 warm glazed donuts. I received a big earl kolache and 2 ice cold donuts. She fooled me with the donuts, walked to the back as they normally do to get the warm donuts...if you dont have warm donuts during the busiest part of the morning then tell me so I can get something else.The kolaches thing is an on going problem. I think they give you the big earl kolache so they can charge you more. Apparently you have to say small kolache for you to get a kolache that isnt a big earl. Even though the menu calls them sausage and cheese kolaches and big earl kolache.
