8/18/21- Still no update from this company on my order. They are upgrading their phone system so it is impossible to get anyone on the phone. I sent two messages as instructed on their phone system. That was 2 days ago and no one has returned the message. I just want a refund back. Why is it so hard to get a refund for an order that was never fulfilled. I am going to say it again....this company is running a scam.I placed on an order on 7/27. I received no response on when the order might ship. I contacted the company on 8/5 and was told the company was on it. On 8/9, I called again as I received my credit card statement and was billed for an order I have yet to receive. The customer service rep stated they had a new system and that she would have to track it to see if the order shipped from the vendor. I stated that I wanted to cancel the order. She said she would have to see if it shipped yet before I cancelled. If it did not ship, I would be refunded my $28. Ummm...my entire order $93.87 so I am not sure why she kept repeating that I would only be refunded $28. I am not sure what is going on here but I definitely feel like I am being scammed. Really disappointed.
Ordered a glass washer which took 1 1/2 months to get, when it showed up it was poorly packaged, box was damaged and it does not work. I have been trying to contact this company for a week, when you call the message says there phone system is being upgraded and to use live chat, when you try that it says no agents are available and to send an e-mail. I have sent multiple e-mails and cannot get anyone to reply. This is the worst customer service & support I have ever experienced, unbelievable that a company would operate this way.

I have been trying to reach this company through email, calling, and what they say is live chat that no one is ever on. How does anyone contact you? This is the worst customer service. I have a return that needs to be processed which was placed before your new return policy was in affect. I have sent several emails and your reply says were on it. Clearly you are not.
Horrible customer service! Placed an order for a small kitchen island in November and the website said it would ship in 3-4 weeks. Two months later and still no item. I emailed twice, as well as called and left a message - no response. Tried the “live chat” and was told by what I can only assume was a bot that the item would ship by January 15, and they would follow up with me by email to give shipping information. It’s now after the 15th, and still no word when my order may ship. Back to the drawing board I guess...DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!- - -UPDATEThis week, I sent an email and called twice. Was finally able to speak to a live person and get an update on my order. I was told the item ships directly from the manufacturer, and they do not carry the item I order in stock. They acknowledged order has been delayed and will be following up with the company that makes the item ordered.I think when an item is delayed, HRS should be more proactive and communicate to the customer what is going on. It should not have been this hard to get a new estimated date of delivery. (Which, I still do not have a firm date for.)
After contacting customer service about missing items I received a very quick response, despite it being only a couple days until Christmas. Cindy took care of the issue right away and even sent a follow-up email about the status of the new order. I know that this year has been difficult on people in the service industry, especially those inundated with online orders. I don’t expect perfection, but I REALLY appreciate great customer service. We will definitely use HRS again. Thank you, Cindy and thank you, HRS.
No responses or tracking info from company its as if they vanished off the face of the planet but not before taking my money. First time last time customer, just Awful~
Its been 23 days since I placed my order and I still do not have a shipping notification. I have sent several requests for tracking information and they have yet to respond.
Dont buy from them, very bad service, placed order last Friday over 7 days and never ship and never respond, i wonder how they can provide this kind of service in 2020, they said they shipped after i posted this comment, however i never get any tracking, i also asked two days ago and no any respond, again, this company is terrible.

Ok, so I placed an order of 12 bamboo trays and before paying I had to click a box that I should check/open the box before accepting the items because if its damaged, they have no liability and I should open a claim with the carrier. Today when FEDEX knocked I ask our delivery guy to wait until I checked it to see if they are in mint condition... well THANK GOD I did because the trays upon checking the first 2, were a kind of greenish color and with no varnish! I refused the delivery (took a picture of the box closed) and called customer service...first of all the super stressed/rude lady who picks up was nothing but unhelpful... after explaining the situation to her, guess what? now I have to wait until the manufacturer receives the item back for them to INSPECT and then, maybe, I could get my money back minus shipping cost LOL (really I have to pay shipping for a damaged item that I refuse to keep)... I was a little upset because its my 1st time buying from this company and I was hoping that they will understand and follow their instructions on receiving the items.The lady on the phone was clearly having. a bad day that she came to me saying dont get upset at me (after being so rude since she picked up) and I told her: you put me on hold and the message said that all representatives are eager to provide an outstanding customer service and she told me I put you on hold because my son is at school getting the COVID test and I was like wow I dont think you should be rude to me because you are having personal problems.I did my part to call and try to find a solution, but this company is the WORST! I write a review on the webpage for the item and they delete it. I am still waiting for a cart that I ordered in March 2021. At the end of June I called and asked for a refund since they are unable to deliver the piece. No refund yet, not cart yet.
This company is a total scam. Do not make any purchase from it!I purchased a bunch of items on its website in June 2019 (unfortunately), and one of the items arrived with a damaged part (a broken sink leg). I immediately took photos and reported the damage to this company (on the same day). A few days later I was informed by this company that it had to wait for its shipping company to confirm the damage before it can process any refund (?) That in the end went nowhere. Two months later, I still couldnt get any refund. The company tried every effort making excuses to dodge the responsibility of handling this product properly.- First, it continued to ask me to wait and claim that it didnt receive feedback from its shipping company therefore couldnt process the claim after more than 30 days of my report.- Second, after more than 1 month, it got back and said it couldnt process the refund because the shipping company said the claim was filed 5 days after the item was delivered. The company further said because a former employee (that was fired by them) didnt process the request, the claim was never filed. (sounds like an excuse. your internal affair should have nothing to do with customers, shouldnt it?)- Third, the company asked me to ship back the item. However, when I asked the company to provide pre-paid shipping label and packaging, it suddenly refused to process it, and told me that because the item was not wrapped on the date it arrived, the damage was not their responsibility and I should have refused to receive it. The truth was, the item was packed and hidden among all other items when it arrived, and theres no way one could unpack everything and examine any damage before the delivery man leaves the site. I did have written emails and photos of the damaged part taken on the day the shipment arrived, but the company has done nothing for its customer and tried to do everything they can to steal my money. I spent so much time trying to reach the customer service and get their response, but theyre very very hard to reach!It makes me sick having to spend a single more moment dealing with this issue, but I need to report it to the public so other shoppers are aware of this scam!Customers, avoid this company!
This is a horrible company.. WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN.. I will inform all colleagues and friends I have in the business. Beware of this company as they do not stock any of the items they sell. I had to wait longer than normal to get my item. When I needed to request a return as I ordered the wrong item....now the nightmare has begun.. When I emailed to request a return, I got an email from Alexandria Vargas stating Id get return info shortly Needless to say that has been over 2 weeks. I call last week and spoke to another gentleman who basically didnt know what he we doing and new nothing about his companies process or why it was taking so long.. His explanation was to just give it a few more days... Again, Its not coming from them but the manufacturer....Needless to say its been over another week. This is when you know you have a scam company,,, When they are quick to take your order and slow to service you when there is a problem . You have 30 days to return and item.. and dont you know they are trying to get to that 30 day period ! First and last time ordering ! BEWARE . My next step is the better business bureau and make a claim for return payment on my credit card !
If I could give Negative Stars I would. 1st of all, I called and spoke with a representative about the product I needed. I was assured that it would work. When I got the product it was no where near the size I was quoted on the phone. I asked if I could return the product. They said this was a special order and you get no refund and there are no returns. These guys offered no relief whatsoever. 1500.00 bucks down the drain. Never buy from Hotel Restaurant Supply Warehouse. Buyer beware.
Damaged product. Got nothing but a run around. Promised a $50 refund off the original price. Never received. Yes, they distribute for another company, but they are ultimately responsible for the sale and customer service for the sale.(After note: $50 eventually received 2 months later)
This place is 100% SCAM, FRAUD, MISLEADING, with a BATE and SWITCH SCHEME!! Like other reviewers, I ordered a product on July 3rd. I was contacted about a week later by email from ASHLEY that said the product was discontinued. A substitute product was offered at a similar price so I accepted. Days go by and no updates from HRS. I emailed ASHLEY, the useless rep, and she said I’ll get back to you with an update. Never happened so I emailed again. ASHLEY responded with a back order date. Waited until August 5th and hopped on a live chat. JESSE supposedly researched from a supplier and said the product is on another 30+ day backorder. I was offered a cancellation and accepted. Now I’m on a wait period for the refund. Reading some of the reviews on here, looks like I was just part of a fraudulent scheme.This company should never be in existence. I wish I would have read reviews before ordering anything from this company. I was very impressed with their customer service. After I ordered a piece of equipment online in the middle of the night, they contacted me the following morning to inform me that the piece of equipment had to be made by the manufacturer and would take longer than expected to receive. No stars!!!! Ordered several items and after 16 days items still had not shipped from various warehouses throughout the country. This is third party distributor and they do not stock any of thee inventory on their website. Customer service reps are less than helpful and courteous on the telephone. Hoping I wont have to chase after my refund like I had to chase after my order!

Id give zero stars if possible. I ordered a product almost a month ago with no response on it shipping. I called and got voicemail. I tried their online chat and got a message that nobody was available. That alone shows that they are trying to scam you. When I finally got a hold of someone, they said they cancelled my order because the credit card didnt match where it was shipping (..obviously! thats why there is a SHIPPING and a BILLING address). They said they can never take orders from us again (were a large business???). I checked my bank account, and we were charged and never refunded. DO NOT PURCHASE WITH THEM.

No stars. stay away from this company. We ordered from them and waited for the order, they told us it would arrive in 5 days. We never got it, when I called, they said that we had to wait 3 more weeks. We canceled the order and they still didnt issue the refund yet.
We started using Hotel Restaurant Supply two years ago and we have never had a problem. They have everything we need, and they deliver right away. We learned long ago that when you find someone dependable, stay loyal to them and it pays off.
I ordered 4 sets of items. Hotel pans and lids and such. The shipping amount changed three times. I ended up paying $36 to ship a $54 order. I emailed about the change in shipping costs, still no reply. I found out its probably so high because they are shipping EACH ITEM INDIVIDUALLY! This is unheard of for me. Its not like I ordered a bunch off random things that couldnt be put together. Its pans and lids. This was a trial run for me with this company. Live and learn. NEVER AGAIN
It did take a longer time to receive my order than I thought was normal. When it arrived, it was a wok, Id expected to receive with it, the ring that sits on the stove. It was in the photo. But, its my fault, I didnt read the fine print. Still, the product is of excellent quality and wonderful size. I ordered the ring Amazon is clear about what youre ordering.

We placed an order for a seemingly high quality item. The price and shipping seemed high, but, well, it seemed like just what we wanted. It arrived very clearly having been re-packaged, with no instructions, and I am reasonably sure it is not an original. In any case, it did not work as advertised.While customer service is very friendly, they have not given me any satisfactory answers, and tell me Ill have to wait up to 120 days for their shipper to fill out some forms related to my claim. They also wrote me suggesting restocking fees for a damaged item could be 15-50%.I suggest that there are much better and easier places to shop online and I would stay away from this company!

Nasty, confrontational people that will blame cusomters for their own incompetence. Misleading item descriptions are the reason for their low prices. This is nothing more than a middle man company that drops ships, making returns essentially impossible. 24/55 1-star reviews says something. R.I.P. HRS. You wont be in business for much longer. Katom and Webstaurantstore are much better options.
Terrible company. I ordered a waitress bar and service mat. I only received the waitress bar. No mat. Now I have to prove that it wasn’t in the box, which it wasn’t. How about to count your supply and notice you have more than you should. It’s a $12.00 waitress mat. I will never ever ever order any products from this company! They are terrible at getting you products to order.
We ordered furniture for our community pool. The order was processed very quickly and shipped to the site. We requested a call-ahead but never received one on the big order. The freighter was responsible for calling ahead of delivery. This is a common problem with other pool furniture delivery companies too. Being offsite, it was a small inconvenience. HotelRestaurantSupply reimbursed for the extra charge and was very quick about it. They did a good job responding once the problem was reported. Everything resolved in 24 hours.
I purchased my item on May 16 and I didnt receive any confirmation or ETA for two weeks. I actually forgot about it. I decided to send an email to the supplier but didnt get any response after two business days so I decided to call them. The representative inform me that she hasnt receive any confirmation from the manufacture and was informed that the ETA will be sometime around Mid June. I asked her if it makes sense to inform your customers about the ETA rather than keep them waiting until they call you. She said if it was a perfect world, she would be able to do that but she only checks the ETA of items every two weeks. She said that she sent me an email that she was checking on my order but I looked at my email/ spam folder and no email to be found. Wouldnt recommend them because you wont know the whereabout of your items until you call them or every two weeks when they check the ETA.
The transaction went as expected and the price was right, although, I would have liked to have had a tracking number for the shipment. The probable reason that I didnt get one was that it was a drop shipment and HRS had no control over that.I wont hesitate to use or recommend HRS for any kitchen equipment in the future.
After reading reviews and everything, I was scared of using this company for my husbands xmas gift. I talked and they explained why they have some problems with shipping. I totally trusted the company and they didnt let me down. It was a refrigerator and I got it just in time. They made this experience very nice and shootout to Teresita. She made this easier.
Ordered some cups from them. Got an email a week later saying to approve a more expensive shipping, I did. Now 2 more weeks later I have been unable to get a hold of them through phone or email so having to do a chargeback through my credit card company. Do not use this company. Pretty sure they are just a scam.

I have ordered many a product - both big and small- from HRS and everything has arrived on time and in working order. I spent some time early on shopping around for best pricing and HRS seems to either meet or be less than the competitors. I spoke directly to Lee Rosenthal, the CEO, when I had some questions about a big order and he patiently walked me thru the best options for me.
It has been a MONTH since our order was placed. When it got delivered we had a chunk of our order missing. I have been calling, emailing, attempting live chat for a 2 weeks now and only get voicemails, and no response to emails. This review will be staying at one star until I hear further from them.
It was great working with them, we ordered lounge chairs for our pool and the quantities had to be adjusted, they contacted us quickly to handle the change and shipping was fast and undamaged.
Sent Wrong Items, HRS made a gauntlet to get them returned.HRS sent the wrong items. I emailed all pertinent information to two different customer support emails and got no response. I called and after two different holds on the phone and then transfers, I got a person who told me to fill out a RMA form on their site. So, instead of doing customer service, she did nothing to help, nor fixed my situation, nor took the information I already provided and did something with it. I got sent further down the gauntlet of return, to the RMA sites, when I simply said that if they sent me the right items in the first place and she took the information I already provided right now, we wouldnt be at this point.Now, Im on to the RMA form, which doesnt load right, keeps making refill out the form, because of the robot captcha An error occurred while processing the form. The form required some values that you did not seem to provide. Confirm you are not a robot.This is really simple business; send the right items and return and exchange the items when HRS messes up. It is not the customers responsibility to fix the business mess ups and if the business didnt mess up, itd be a whole lot cheaper for the business.
I would highly recommend this company. Their products and service is second to none.
I ordered a Volrath 53Qt pot, #3513 for the purpose of making large batches of salsa and spagetti sauce from garden. I ordered this in Aug of 2016, I used this pot 3 times in the mid summer of 2017 and i noticed there was a hugh chunk or pit out the bottom of pot, This is a definate imperfection in quality or workmanship. After talking to Volrath, they advised me theres a 90 day warranty. I should contact who i purchased it from. I havent heard anything from either company, just be advised after 90 days even though i never used the pot, it was out warranty. Be careful and read the fine print because your on your own . They have done nothing to help me out even though it is definate imperfection. I will forward a pic to anyone who would like to see this prior to purchasing.
Ordered two Vitamix blenders on Sept 26th. We are still waiting( it is Nov 4th today). They have had to call the factory twice to resend the order. Apparently this is the strangest thing they have ever had happen! Ever! Been told I will receive a phone call or email each time, and it never comes. Have called 6 times. They are not trained very well it seems. Went to Amazon, ordered two last week, they arrived yesterday, and it was cheaper.

I have a sanitary stainless welding business.Excellent price and claimed lead-time of 1 week.Ordered weld-in OEM sink to modify a countertop. Sink took 3 weeks to arrive drop-shipped from Mfgr and was shipping-damaged. In the end we were able to dolly out the dings and fix some cracked welds on the sink as we fitted it into the countertop.Got the job done and it looks good. Would use again but would call them when ordeing to ensure lead-time meets requirements. The shipping damage wasnt their fault, as it was drop shipped. Was packed well but just beat up in shipping.Bob

Several orders, 100% bad experiences. From no assembly instructions leading to a call where they found it funny that I had no instructions, to never receiving tracking links that work, to huge miscalculations on shipping costs which are astronomical, and always coming up with some ridiculous excuse for falling short yet again - I hate working with this company. If I hadnt needed additional items to match the original order, I never would have used them again. $542 merchandise and almost $700 shipping, really?
