This place has been fabulous for us! It is super clean, easily accessible, climate controlled, and very secure. We used the storage unit for four years while out of the country, and not one item was damaged in any way after all that time. We appreciated the carts and elevators, so moving in (and out) was easy. Wendy, the manager, was consistently helpful and eager to help us with our needs. The prices are among the most competitive around! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Ed ( Edgar) was super helpful and resourceful today. We had a few problems gaining access to our new rental unit. Ed drove back and forth from his location to our location multiple times to help us. He was the only worker at both places and handled it exceptionally well. He was helping several other people at the same and still gave us the red carpet treatment.

Moving is horrible. So many decisions. Do you keep it? Sell it? Throw it away? If your downsizing, what then? I was widowed a little over 2 yrs ago. I recently sold my home and really have no idea where I want to live so I will be staying with friends through the end of the year. I realized I need somewhere to put my “stuff”. I visited several storage places in the area. When I got to Extra Space Storage and met Marco, I was done looking. I walked in the door to a cheery hello and welcoming smile and there was Marco. I explained my situation and he went right to work giving me ideas and answering my questions while asking questions of me to help better meet my needs. He worked for a bit and got me a really great deal. He had a couple units picked out for me, so we went on a tour. The one I decided on is perfect! Right by the door with very easy access. I explained to Marco, I wasn’t ready to sign the contract that day but wanted it and would need it in about a week. He said no problem and accommodated me in every way I asked. The next week I went back to sign and pay and lo and behold, Marco had actually tagged the unit so there was no mistaking that that was MY unit! We have already discussed another unit for my daughter’s things and I know Marco will do everything in his power to not only get me a great deal but also a great location.If you are looking for a clean, well maintained storage facility, with great rates and awesome associates, look no further! Moving is still horrible but at least this portion has been smooth and stress free completely due to Marco!

I had an amazing experience moving in. The staff was great. However, as I was moving in, I just realized that there was a sign that says free rent for the first month, but I wasnt told about it during singing up. Maybe I just had to mention it, but I didnt. Other than that. It was a good experience.

Kathleen has been very helpful at all times with working to help meet my various needs while renting there. I was rewarded by that facility when I recommended it to a friend who also liked using the storage units there and it was very close to where he lived. It is well managed and clean. They have someone living there above the office too which helps keep the facility secure. I am grateful that there is a public bathroom in a secure area. They were receptive when I pointed out a minor maintenance issue. I felt very much at home working with their staff over that period of time that I had things stored there.

Just moved our stuff; found Extra Space to be a clean, easy to access facility. Had a little trouble with the gate code but the staff, especially assistant manager Marco, are wonderful!

Even during the middle of IL Virus shutdown, Extra Space Storage figures out how to complete a rental transaction without any contact. Took all of 10 minutes and we had clean dry storage. Gate always worked. Never any issues. Easy in and out. Secure.

The service is awesome.Have you ever made a mistake when measuring an item for storage? I did and I order a storage unit where the door was a little too small, or maybe I should say my item was a little too big. No matter what I did to put my item in nothing worked. The manager, Kathleen helped me measure my item and drove me around to different units until I found the one that was just right for me. I can tell you she went above and beyond her duties. I can’t tell you everything she did because I don’t have enough time, but know this, I will use this storage location from now on as long as Kathleen is there.I came in later than I told her I would be there. Most important, it was time for the office to close. You know how it is, time to leave work and you want to get out of there. Have you been to a place when it is time for them to close, they want to go home and you feel like they are kicking you out? This DID NOT HAPPEN with Kathleen she stay late and did not rush me, answered all of my question and made sure I was satisfied with my new unit.This is the best location for storing oversized items. The service is the best.I don’t write usually reviews for service, but this service was too outstanding for me to just let it go.

I rented a unit on Saturday, and told them I would be moving in on the following Thursday. I got a voicemail on that Wednesday saying that they were confirming my move out. I JUST PAID FOR THE WHOLE YEAR IN ADVANCE.Apparently because I didn’t put my lock on yet, that means I moved out.but seems like a nice place, I guess.9/2020So I do like this facility, they’re really nice and said they would see if they have a good rate in a couple weeks when my lease is up.Recommend.

Greetings,This storage place is the best place I have ever dealt with in all my time living in Chicagoland. It is clean and dry and has good lighting so I feel safe at night. Plenty of cameras on the grounds, a good way to get in and out so I know my items are secure. The doors have double locks on them in case you want to have a couple types of locks. It is easy to get a hold of them and they are always very nice and accommodating when it’s time to renew or when opening a new account. I have met Marco a few times and he is very nice and we end up talking for a little bit every time. 5 stars out of 5 stars every time.

They are diligent about making sure your stuff is safe and secure and all your needs are met. I highly recommend this facility but mostly because of the management of this property. The original reason I chose this location was for the manager at the time Derrick. He was AAA. When the new manager came in I was a bit skeptical and scared having to learn someone new again. Kathleen put me at ease right away and she made me feel safe and secure you can’t teach that. I have been at this facility for three years now. We had a great experience today learning about renting a storage space and got the flash deal. Kathleen was excellent and explained everything clearly. I can’t wait to start using our unit, my kid is super exited to move his stuff.

Ed H. was through and patient in explaining all the nuances a first time renter would want to know. He was very friendly and knowlegible and seemed to genuinely care we get the right unit for our needs. He also gave good advice on how to get the best rate.

Although we wanted a climate controlled 5x15, after speaking with Ed on site, we were happy with the non climate control option. Only negative is that you cant secure a space online through the website. You can put in a request but must physically go to the facility before you are guaranteed what you want.
