They have a lot of good camping and athletic gear, but the selection of Bow and Arrow supplies could be better.

I just spent 30 minutes here trying to exchange a luggage type padlock that I bought from a different location. The lock was defective. Im not from California, so I have commercial drivers license from a different state. Im a truck driver. After, checking my receipt, and asking numerous questions, most of which had absolutely nothing to do with the exchange not refund, I was simply trying to exchange the defective $8 lock for a new one that I purchased the day before, I was finally approved. What a horrible waste of time and way to treat non-white customers. This manager should be ashamed of herself.

Wish they had what I was looking for, though they do carry Olympic weight plates, was told they fly off the shelves. Wanted to purchase via phone but was told they didnt do that. So basically I have to make a mad dash on Monday cuz thats when they get their shipment in and I would have to take time off work to beat the rush. They dont hold merchandise for customers. Sad all the way around.

My husband went in looking for an item. The employee (girl) told him she hadnt seen that item before. My husband proceeded to tell her that he saw it online and that he had the SKU# on hand. She replied the same thing she had never seen that item really? That was not the question!!! Do your Damn job!!!

I like big 5..... but they advertise the one day sale with no product to sell. SMH!!

I go here often. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Always get greeted when I walk in the door. Only negative is how small the store itself is, but that isnt a deterrent.

Me and my family were walking around the store shopping for the kids school shoes, and browsing. Well when we were looking around the MANAGER as I found out later, walked up and asked me if I am going to purchase a lighter toy that my two kids had picked up and put back, it so happens on the floor. So I then responded No. She then walks off shaking her head, and starts muttering stuff, apparently thinking I dont understand a word she is muttering. Oh and I forgot to mention the faces she was making. People please, if you dont want to work in retail or CUSTOMER SERVICE for that matter . Go back to school and please dont ask to be paid $15 hr. KIDS ARE JUST BEING KIDS!!!! NO WONDER THERE WAS HARDLY NO ONE IN THERE!!!

Took 45 mins for help from the gun Dept poor service they obviously dont know nothing about how to sell you a firearms the so called manager dont know the rules Mr. Mitchell Knox the whole gun buying process took about 1hr 45min. Just horrible service stay away from this big 5 sporting goods.

I cant belive the odasity of these people, we bought 2 fishing items and 1 of them wasnt in the bag, so i had my wife call them to see if maybe the item stayed at the couner or something. The girl with 4 eyes, oh i mean with glasses. had accused my wife of lying and yelling at her . instead of saying come in tmrw see how we can fix the problem .she also starts telling my wife there not guna give her the snap swivels And if my wants she can go back to the store and buy more. what really, HOW RUDE, thats why theres no people here in that store, all the guys i know are willing to drive 30 minutes to another town. very impolite and from now on we will be taking our business elsewhere!!!!!
