For a weekend where we wanted a family friendly and fun camp community, this place was perfect. Spent the day at Columbus zoo and grabbed reservations at local roots, then back to the campground for a rock band and our traditional settling in around the fire. Clean facilities, store had plenty for Halloween decor, costumes, kid items, reasonably priced items. Grounds were quiet when appropriate, sites well spaced with a sense of spaciousness. Overnight spots are near the road (could hear in the hybrid bunks) but really pleased and planning to return.
Wonderful place to camp! Bob is always so kind and helpful as well as other staff members!! Looking forward to next summer!
This place was amazing and we had a great time! We won the site decorating contest and we had a blast with all of the different activities there was to do. We will be back next year and hopefully the year after too.
Very nice & clean tiled bath/ shower house & coin laundry, all connected to main office.Lots are good size.Nice campground!
Great campground. Pool is excellent. Nice and cool for a hot day. Plenty of things to do. The Club house was happening at night. Nice and cheerful people were there. Staff is excellent.
This an older park that has been very well maintained and upgraded with all the amenities that individuals and families would want. All sites are gravel and roadways are paved. Some locations might have difficulty with satellite reception because of the large trees. The only criticism is that some of the large pull through sites for big rigs are in need of some additional gravel and the slope for un-hooking and hooking up your towed vehicle might be a challenge.Overall, I would definitely recommend this park for a stay.
Best Park Ive stayed at in awhile! Great staff. Everything is clean. They sprayed for bugs so campers are super happy at all times. Love this place!!
It was a beautiful campground and area. The staff was very friendly. We will not ever go back though as one of the staff stopped us on our second day and said there was a complaint made about our 4 year old riding his 12in electric bike that does not make anymore noise then a golf cart. I was very taken back and told its in the rules. Well I was not able to locate the rules on there website or the email that was sent to me. Multiple staff members had even seen him the day before and the day of the complaint and never said anything about it. Its sad that an adult has a problem with a child riding a bike that was not doing anything to bother them or the park. I was told they have older residents so I guess that means if you have children you should probably go somewhere else.
This place is your typical used to be an awesome place until they sold out resort. They do have a few amenities that are included with the price of your stay. One of which is a pool, that was open on the weekends only. Most of the free amenities tend to get overrun by the group(s) of cliquey teens running around, so the smaller kids could have a hard time enjoying them. All of the pads I saw were concrete, and the sites grass were in good shape. The prices are fluid, depending on weekends holidays, etc... So be prepared to pay near hotel prices to bring your own room. And as always, no refunds for bad weather. So one could easily pay $500 to stay in your camper and watch the rain all week. 🤷♂️
Great campground. We loved the pool, which was very clean and well maintained, and also the fun organized late night activities. Kudos to the owners and staff, and we hope our travels bring us back for another stay, soon.
One of the better campgrounds weve been to. Clean campground, well -stocked store, a variety of activities for you and your family to do, and very friendly, helpful people working there.
Loved this campground. Lots of shady spots and great staff. Entertainment in the evenings and lots of games for kids and adults
Wonderful family campgrounds. Super friendly staff. Grounds are always well maintained and clean. We have visited at least once a year for the past 8 years. 😊
Were fulltime RVers and have visited many parks across the US and this is one of the nicest weve been to.
We stayed for a week, part of the week we had our 3 year old grandson. The staff was very nice. Unfortunately the rv site didnt have very much gravel at all and it rained a little bit which caused the site to literally be a muddy mess. Since your not allowed to use a rug or ground covering in the grassy areas, everything and everyone was muddy due to little gravel and very sparse grass. Unfortunately the playground is rundown and didnt have much to offer. The dog run is not a run at all. Its a very tiny area all the way at the front entrance of the park, and this was the only place in the park that offers pet waste disposal spots. The bathrooms were also at the very front of the park which isnt convenient unless you have a site at the front. The bathrooms at the back of the park were too small for an average adult to use,and they were extremely hot and smelly. The trash receptacles were not clearly marked, and they looked like a trailer for the maintenance crew, not trash. Our guests, including my elderly mother, had to pay $5/person to enter the park, even when they didnt use any of the park amenities . I feel like the fee we paid to stay for a week should have included a couple hour visit with our parents especially since they didnt leave our campsite the few hours we visited. The Italian ice truck was closed the entire time we were there, and it was the hottest weather so far weve had this year.
This campground was the friendliest and cleanest campground I’ve ever been too! We had such a wonderful time,,, great memories! Thank you! We’ll see you next year!
Activities galore. I am a coordinator for a amusement park in ohio so I appreciate a place that caters to the young and old. This place definitely did!
It was our first time here. We picked it because of its proximity to the Columbus Zoo, its 20 minutes away. It is one of the nicest campgrounds weve stayed at. The staff was very friendly also.
Walked around to see if Id like to camp here.It has quite a few permanent sites. Clean looking campground with some shaded sites. Unfortunately I didnt get a masp of available sites.
Beautiful wooded park. Official staff nice. Sit level. Roads well maintained. Beautiful landscape. Nice big pool. Site specious. Park clean. Some seasonal. Wi-Fi poor speed.
One of the nicest campgrounds we ve been to. Nicely maintained, lots of planned activities every weekend . Staff all friendly.
Nice campground. Clean and plenty of things to do. Will camp there again
Relaxing atmosphere, nicely set up sites. Easy in and easy out. Had a small issue with the breaker on the power pole but maintenance was out quickly to replace the faulty breaker.
The people at the camp ground are very friendly and helpful. The campground is very clean and well maintained. Highly recommended.
Very nice campground...friendly staff, clean and have scheduled activities.
Wonderful staff, big pool and LOTS of stuff for the grandkids to do.
Super nice! Your own driveway and power.Large enough for campers and rv.Picknick tables..fire pit.Perfect spot for camping
This campground pleasently surprised me by how clean, family friendly and everyone there is polite and friendly not just the staff. My only complaint there are often adults smoking on or near the playground.
Great place. Super friendly stuff. Great for kids.
Staff is very friendly. Have an awesome gift shop. Also they do Satan visits during the Christmas holidays. Which is awesome. He is kind of creepy and sits outside the gift shop. Has his sleigh with reindeers too.I really have enjoyed their hospitality.
Went to see Santa absolutely awesome experience. Covid regulations were followed. Staff was GREAT. will definitely be going there from now on $10 take all the pics you want with your device or have them take a pic and email it to you.Never going to the mall again.
We enjoyed this park immensely. The grounds are beautiful. The general store is an experience with Halloween fun stuff for the kiddies plus anything else you could imagine. The park was decorated all over for Halloween. I recommend this park.
Amazing camp resort. Super friendly staff, very clean camp site. We will definitely be returning.
My wife and I spent a long weekend at this campground with the grandchildren. Ever effort was made to keep us safe including scheduled time to use the pool so it was not crowded. We had a problem with the first site we went to so they quickly directed us to another site. Great location close to everything.
We were greated so warmly by George who was standing outside the welcome center. Jane gave us our site number and we headed to the area. When we arrived we noticed it was a little smaller than we would like as were having guest. George took care of it right away and upgraded our site. The sites are so intimate and spacious. We met 2 volunteers who were very friendly and helpful. The bathroomsl were decent and the water was warm. We really enjoyed our stay and the warm hospitality.
Very clean great staff always willing to help
Quite frankly the best campground I have ever been!
Great campground. Conviently located. Have stayed here several times. We are full time RV, 45 foot, Pulling a 25 foot trailer. They have spaces that will accomodate us. Friendly staff. Beautiful setting across from Alum Creek. Dog friendly.
Nice friendly place!
Just came home from cccr. I read the reviews beforehand. The grounds/store/employees were all wonderful. The landscaping awesome. Did not use there bathrooms so cant comment there. Dont believe the negative reviews. For such a large resort it is setup for fast checkin/checkout during these times. I will stay here again soon. Highly recommended.
Nice park. Very pricey though. Sites are pretty decent, but it can be difficult to maneuver the park if youre a newbie, which there were LOTS over Memorial Day. They were supposed to send an email for park information, but we never received anything. Luckily a friend of ours was staying there and told us which site was ours.
We enjoy this RV Park its a great meeting place for our growing family to meet up. We come once a year and have a great family vacation. Alum Creek is nearby and we brought our boat. The grandkids love to go tubing, big and small. They always have some activities and mubasic here for entertainment. Clean facilities and offer church services on Sunday. We will be back.
Our home away from home in the Columbus area! Far enough from civilization, to feel like youre out in the wilderness. Beautiful campground, big pool, & lots of amenities. Close to the Outlet Mall, just a short drive to Polaris Fashion place, and close enough to do a day trip to the Columbus Zoo or visit the Columbus area!
Called for a site oh yeah we have afew open do you have and ideal spot I as we have a tent. Wow how fast did the sites feel up. If you dont have a camper and be nose stuffer you dont get a site.
Beautiful Campgrounds with all amenities
One of our favorite places to camp. Heated water lines for all year camping. Clean facilities.
Very few campgrounds in Columbus, Ohio this one completely packed loud music until 10 oclock kids everywhere great for families but if you want some sleep dont go here. Second time here all is well. Quiet as a church mouse beautiful day.
Owner is a little rude, but the place is clean
A very nice park. Friendly staff. No cable tv but some satellite friendly sites.
Great atmosphere, well kept sites, attentive staff, lots of activities for children and adults.
First off I want to say the campground is nice and has lots of activities for your family. However, the staff is very unprofessional/unorganized, my wife and I booked this place for work since we travel. The staff member who was originally helping us book didn’t send us a confirmation letter or even instructions on how to get in the campground. We’ve been here three days and they only provided the WiFi just yesterday, it doesn’t even work! The worst part of it all, they ARE the most expensive camp ground in the area. Ridiculous! If you want your moneys worth. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Have loved this campground until now, asked to reserve a campsite for a month for scheduled eye surgery in Columbus. In our opinion they are price GOUGING. Price for the month came out to $57+ dollars a day. Sorry guys never again!
This is really a pretty nice place, especially if you have children. Very little dirt, with paved streets and lots of grass. There are many things to do here again especially if you have children. Even without children, we had a nice time. They bring in a sausage kitchen food truck, also a barbecue concession at times, and the store is filled with everything from RV parts to clothes. The bathrooms are clean, but the showers are small. The staff is gracious and helpful. Overall a really nice park.
Visited Cross Creek with family on Labor Day Weekend. Pools, store, food trucks, playground for kids, silent auction, showers, bathrooms. This campground had a lot to offer. The vibe of this place seemed more like many of the campers stayed there very often because many of them knew each other so at times we felt out of place like we were coming into their campground. That is to be expected though especially because if people like it they will continue to return. Overall this place was nice. The WiFi wasn’t able to connect from our campsite but that is to be expected considering so many people probably use it and it can be costly to have so we appreciated the effort of it. Overall good place to stay just not much parking :( Recommend to families with kids and families wanting to get away for the weekend. I would not recommend for a bunch of adults going out for a weekend drinking get away.
Love this campground, one of our favorite places to camp, beautiful, clean, and friendly! Always will camp here.
Great place to camp. Friendly and great staff. Very clean and nice sites.
Nicely maintained park. Very popular, but overcrowded (too dense). Internet Wifi system is a joke...too many users on too few channels. A little pricey if all you want is an overnight spot with full hookups.
Very quiet during the week. Nice staff and very well kept grounds and pool.
The settings was awesome and you can clearly see how it won all the awards years ago. But its also clear that the owners are letting a lot slip. Very disappointed with the service and upkeep of the park based on the reviews. We arrived on memorial day Monday and saw the dumpsters at the entrance were overflowing. Well not surprising after a major holiday weekend. But during the whole week, the trash continued to pile up and smelled awful. You had no choice but to add your trash to the pile on the ground. Now I know why a raccoon is their mascot. The dog park was incredibly small and right behind the stinky dumpsters. They didnt make recycling easy with different cans for different recyclables scattered about the park. Pool was not heated...a chilly 74 degrees when we were there. Its just not the park it once was. Disappointed because the location and setting is great.More specifically and to respond, we travel to many of the best rated parks between Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Pennsylvania etc and this simply doesnt compare to those. I can see what an amazing park it was 10, 15, or 20 years ago, but I just dont see any updates or improvements other than fresh annual flowers being planted. The competition has raised the bar and is leaving the place behind. Bathrooms and showers are adequate at best, certainly outdated, dark, and a little dirty. They have got to be making money with as big and full the place is. I would like to see some improvements, added amenities, expand the dog park because they have the room, pool heater, and quite possibly friendlier or more helpful staff. I guess we got started on the wrong foot with the welcome dumpster and the fact that our site was blocked by an unregistered guest. All I got was shrugged shoulders and blank stares from staff. I would encourage the owners and managers to visit some of the other camping resorts and easily see what is out there.
This is a first class family camping resort with all the amenities. The staff is quite friendly and knowledgeable. Of note, however, internet availability is marginal. Thats OK, I didnt want to spend my time here on the computer anyway. This park is just south of Delaware, with easy access to Columbus.
It was a really nice place to visit my family for a cookout. I didnt know to visit someone for 3hrs you would have to pay a $5 fee to park your car. They definitely made alot of money off are family that day. The place was kept clean though.
We had an amazing weekend there with family and friends. The trick or treaters were so great and the haunted house so much fun. I cant wait to come back.
Good vibes 24 - 7. Very clean and managed extremly well. Areas and activities for young and old. Yes, I would recommend this place to all my friends and family. Try it! Im sure youll like it. No, I dont work here or have any affiliations with this Cross Creek Campgrounds. Theyve earned my comments!
Just stay at the state park. The rangers will hassle you less about stuff than some of the staff members here. Theres an obese older white woman with short Gray hair whose main hobby is to ride around the camp and telling people to move their cars out of empty spots. Which is fine, rules are rules, but when your daughter isnt even there for 5 minutes and is unloading her two young sons before she moves her car to an appropriate spot, it can be annoying. Same thing happened to my son when he was unloading fishing gear. Wasnt even there 5 minutes before she was barreling down in a frantic saying he needed to move his truck right now because a RV was coming! So he hurries up and moves it and guess what? She was LYING. No one parked in that spot for days. So staff has already proven to me that they are liars. Wont be back because of the Parking Nazi.
We camped here this past weekend for a second time this season. Both times were with a group of 2 other families. Upon booking, we requested to have sites together and both times, thats what we got. We love the quiet, outer perimeter sites. The kids have always had a great time riding bikes (on the paved roads), swimming (in the decent sized well maintained pool) and shooting hoops (on the shaded half courts). Though roads are narrow, most people keep it pretty clear of vehicles. This is a very professionally run campground and everyone Ive ever encountered in the office has been nice, helpful and kindly accommodating. Thank you! We will stay here again in the future!
We went to see the x-mas lights. There was a LG verity of cute, funny, action (moving), & bright lights. Would not oppose to going back next year. The down fall is it is not captivating @ the entrance till you pay. The price is different on different sites that advertise it so be prepared. No restrooms till u get across the street @ Santas house so stop there first b4 you c the lights. Go see it ! Dont let the down falls turn you away. There was a full car opinion put together for this post. 💜
The nicest and cleanest campground weve ever been to, this was our first time and we will definitely be back. We were blown away by how nice and clean it is,and the the pool is good size especially for a campground . I see why its called a resort. Thank you cross creek !
They have great facilities and they were very nice. Love it there I would come back again.
Very nice campground. Very nice staff, very well maintained. Clean bathrooms, hot water in the shower. Very nice pool. Lots to do - kids crafts, karaoke, game room, fire truck rides, hay rides, pedal cars. Camp store, reasonable prices. Very nice snack truck near the playground - hot dogs, pizza, shaved ice, etc. Two downsides: only one shower house all the way in the front, also most of the best sites are taken for seasonal campers.
They have a wonderful Christmas lights display. I recommend it to anyone and you also get to see Santa.
We came for trick or treat with our two yr old daughter, super fun! Awesome things to do, haunted house was great and everyone decorated really neat for Halloween
Great people that runs the campgrounds but the price is way to much
This resort has everything to offer camping families. Beautiful!
This campsite is nice its pretty big the pool was nice to and pretty nice people to
Went for Butch Bandos Fantasy of Lights and stopped into the store for a quick look around. All around a pleasant trip with friendly staff and a neat little shop.
Excellent! Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Clean. Pet friendly. Very impressed!!
We are still here. It is very nice.
This was the most beautiful campground. I actually walked around every road and could not find one ungroomed piece of property. And not one (eyesore) in the whole park.Very friendly service. They even escort you to your lot. Best service ever☆☆☆☆☆
The staff is friendly. We actually visited the park for the Christmas Light show. It was decent and the kids enjoyed it. I think its a bit pricey compared to some of the other nearby drive thru light shows. However, they do offer funnel cakes, pop corn and a gift shop. Free hot chocolate and cookies are available as well as a visit with Santa. Overall a good experience especially for families with little ones.
So much to do at this campground and not enough time to enjoy all of it! Relax and be bored, or get involved in all of the different activities that are constantly going on at the campground! Something is sure to grab your interest and attention at Cross Creek Camping Resort!
One of the nicest facilities I have ever been to. Friendly staff.
Nice place. Great activities for just about everyone. Only complaint is the spots are really close to each other. Ive seen worse, but the state park across the road gives you way more space and privacy at half the price.
Very convenient to Columbus. Nice flat sites and playground for kids. Wish though that they hadnt placed another camper right next to us when the grounds were pretty empty.
So we booked six days here and we were very skeptical when we first pulled in because we are used to State Parks where there is a lot of nature around us, but we tried the resort because of all the amenities. I can definitely say the staff has been extremely helpful and the maintenance guys are there when you need them. We pulled in and it started to rain our pad had the gravel moving from where they had it and it caused the mud pit. I went over to the office and ask them if there was any way they could add gravel and the guys were out within 15 minutes to put fresh gravel down. It was kind of awkward being so close to other trailers and seeing other peoples fire pits behind us but we made friends with everyone so it made our trip great! The pool is very clean and the grounds by the playground and Under The Pavilion were spotless. The sites are very small but there is so much to do here it did not make a difference to us! We will be back soon!
While sites are small, the utilities are good. Rules are enforced which makes the closeness tolerable. Nice new laundromat on site.
Beautiful campground! Great people!
The sites are a little close together, but everything else was great, if not perfect! There are SO many amenities here, and I absolutely loved my neighbors!! It was an hour drive to and from work every day for my fiance, but it was definitely worth it. There is an amazing dog park closeby, too!!
Our first campy trip of the seasonIt was wounderful. The weather could have been better but the mothers day camping trip couldnt have. In door pool, hot tub. And a beautiful brunch for moms and daughters loved it. We will be back.
Very pleasant and relaxing. I love the campground!
Very nice place but dog park was infested with bees so no place to let your dog just run.... sites are very tight and our neighbor played loud music untill early morning then back up early to turn up his loud music again and not one worker ever came by to have him turn it down..
My family went here for the fantasy of lights. It was awesome. Long line, but it moved fast. The people where awesome. My kids loves Santa.
Nice sites. Very large park. Pool but limited hours. Laundry and store. Quiet and well lite.$$$
