I love the variety of comics provided here. The hours of operation on the shop is a little disappointing but understandable. Staff is nice too.

The staff is incredibly nice and helpful! I was getting some comic books for my cousin and I had no idea what to pick out. The staff helped me find some awesome stuff that my cousin LOVED! For not knowing much about comics, the store was well organized and easy to navigate. The environment is very welcoming and I really appreciate that. The owners are involved in the community and give back in many ways, they truly help make Delaware a better place.

SIC has been such an amazing contribution to our little town! I have to admit that I kind of dread my son receiving money because I know he will nag me to get him downtown for a new comic book until I can make it happen!! We were just there today getting a start on summertime reading materials.

Wonderful store and they are always so great and patient with my 10-year old son who really loves comics and sharing everything he knows! Their free comic book days are the best and they have great comic book “treats” to hand out for Halloween. It’s such a gem of a store to have in Delaware!

We have been shopping at SIC since they opened. Kelly will go out of his way to find the comics or trades you are looking for. I also love the selection of kids books and comics for my little superhero lovers! SIC is such an awesome addition to downtown Delaware and the kids ask to stop there every time we are downtown.

Stopped in this afternoon and was beyond excited to pickup a special edition copy of Clue. Although the store is small it’s extremely clean and well organized and the owner was fantastic! Highly recommend this local small business gem!

Visited for the first time on Free Comic Book day. The owners are so very nice and had great recommendations. They carried most of the things I wanted and had a great section for Funko and shirts/little kid hero capes (SO ADORABLE). The owners were helpful, and you can tell they really love what they do. The shop is not huge, but it maximized space well and is so cute. It has a parking lot right beside it and there are tons of places to park on the street. It is meter, so youll need change! There are tons of shops and coffee/food within walking distance which allowed us to make a day of it. I will definitely be back again.

Secret Identity Comics is one of my favorite parts of downtown Delaware. The feel of the store is welcoming and the selection is great. The owners and employees are some of the most knowledgeable people on comics, sci-fi, and modern pop culture. Theyre extremely friendly, and the store is a great place for more than just picking up a book or a poster and dashing. You can walk in and connect with the people there over your shared fandom. The atmosphere is perfect. Not to mention, theyre always able to order anything you need. Great store.

I was never able to to get as much into comics as I wanted beyond the limited supply at my local library but now I have a comic shop near my home! It is run by wonderful people who really love comics and are extremely helpful for those who really want to get into collecting/reading comics seriously. They have manga and other fandom stuff too :) I would highly recommend this store to anyone interested in comics or just curious about them.

They hosted a drag queen story hour which i was unaware of and it made my entire family uncomfortable. i dont want my child to be exposed to crossdressers. absolutely terrible business and i wont be coming back

I love having a comic book store downtown, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. However, their stock of trades on the shelf has changed very little over time, which makes browsing boring on repeat visits. I appreciate their collection of available manga, but they seem to always lack first/second volumes, which makes trying something new nearly impossible; I’ve had family request titles there before, but they took weeks on end to arrive- unlike other independent shops less than twenty minutes away that can get requests in a 5-10 day period.I understand that such first/second volumes are inheritly hard to keep on the shelf because of this demand, but it doesn’t appear that any effort has been made in the last year to keep up with said demand.Also, a lot of shopping downtown is done during lunch and dinner mealtimes- this store’s bafflingly short operating hours only in the late afternoon seem very silly. I’ve been eating lunch around the area as late as 1-2pm and on multiple occasions, had the thought to stop by, but they’re not open until well after 3 on weekdays.

They have a lot of newer comics, but I am not interested in the new ones. I collect the older issues.
