I called to Lloyd to build a cabinet for a bathroom. He gave me a price, came to the house to take measurements and look at where the bathroom was to be installed.When he came to install the cabinet, he brought it into bathroom already assembled, not very sturdy, too tall so it damaged the ceiling in the bathroom, the trim filler pieces were cut wrong, the doors were the wrong size; just a terrible job.He said he would have to reorder the doors; he cut the top of the cabinets, chipping the edges.The customer was extremely unhappy, asked me if he could reduce the depth size of the cabinet. I contacted Lloyd and he asked for an additional $350 to reduce the depth of the cabinet. I told him I didn’t think that was right because he had damaged the ceiling, which I had to repair; and that measurements were wrong, there would be a further delay in getting the finished product.He told me he was not going to finish the job, that would return my deposit money. I waited two weeks, and after not hearing from him, called him and texted him several times asking him when he was going to return my $450.This afternoon I went over to his shop and asked him when he was going to return my money. He asked me for the cabinet back. I told him it was sitting right where he left for over two weeks, that had never mentioned coming to pick it up or even wanting it.The customer wanted it out of the house, so we took it apart and threw it in the garbage.Now he is saying that if I didn’t return the unfinished garbage of a cabinet he wasn’t going to return my money.Very unprofessional, poor workmanship,
I hired a contractor who employed lloyd to do the cabinets in a new kitchen reno. The contractor ended up being horrible but lloyd went above and beyond to fix his mistakes and on-time. I am waiting for one back ordered piece but paid him in full toward the end knowing he is super honest and reliable! He is so patient and kind always wanting his customers to be happy and my cabinets look beautiful. Hire lloyd!!
