We had some coins that we found after my parents passed away and were fortunate to find John at Prospyr! He was so meticulously thorough as he tested each coin carefully before giving us appraisals. He even consulted with others, on and off site, to verify the material of one of the unusual coins. There was absolutely no pressure to sell the coins to them, which is an option for any item they appraise. He even looked at a diamond ring I had and gave it detailed attention and commented on why it has its particular value. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs an appraisal for jewelry, watches, coins, gems. I wish there was a location near me in NYC, because I trust the services offered. It’s a rare find in South Florida to walk into a jewelry store or any store for that matter and be treated in a welcoming fashion rather than being treated like just another number. Especially if you walk in 30 minutes before closing! I’ve worked in customer service for a while and I definitely get irritated at times when customers would walk in or call in right before closing and I never got that feeling walking in to Prospyr. We had a great chat about A bunch of different things, with some laughs included. Besides the positive way they treat their customers they also were very knowledgeable, helpful and completely transparent when it came to selling my two pieces of gold. I received far more for them than expected. There is an ongoing stigma surrounding South Florida that everybody is in it solely for the money and they’ll screw you over any chance they get however that’s not the case here. I went to Prospyr in Delray Beach to determine the value of some of the old jewelry that I had from my mother and grandmother. I was totally impressed by the process involved to evaluate each piece of jewelry. Seaton was so meticulous, separating 14Kt gold from 18Kt gold so that I would receive the full value for each of my pieces. I had already been to another jeweler to do the same thing, and the difference not only in process, but also in price offered was significant. When you go to Prospyr, you can trust that they are giving you the full value for your old pieces. I am confident that Prospyr is above board and completely trustworthy. It was a very positive experience and helped me to feel good about selling some sentimental pieces...because I knew I was not being taken advantage of, and I felt Seaton understood my feelings. I have been to Prospyr in Delray Beach (Formerly Treasure Hunt) a few times to exchange my gold jewelry that I no longer wanted. Every single time I go I have an incredibly smooth experience and the people working there are extremely nice and greeting. In my most recent visit, a Jeweler named Ken was extremely helpful in the process of exchanging my jewelry. He made me feel comfortable with the whole transaction, given it was with expensive items like gold. Overall, Prospyr Delray gives a fair price for your gold and other jewelry and is an extremely trustworthy establishment.

I came into town to inventory my mothers condo and came across her jewelry collection. I had no idea of pieces which may of had some value. I noticed the TV ads for prosper and asked for their help. I have been going to Prospyr (formerly Treasure Hunt) for 2 years and have always had a positive experience. Today, however, was a different story. Had today been my first experience with Prospyr, I would never go back.I walked in and one store associate was dealing with a customer at the desk and the other associate was speaking to a customer at the counter. Neither one greeted me.The associate at the desk never lifted his head once to acknowledge me by saying hello or even to make eye contact. The associate at the counter, after a period of time speaking with the customer at the jewelry case said well be right with you. He continued speaking with the customer and then moved over to the desk with her to sit down, while I awkwardly stood in the store, waiting my turn. I waited patiently for a period of time and when it became apparent both were heavily involved with their customers, I walked out.No attempt was made to offer me a chair while I stood in the store watching both associates speak to customers and when I decided to leave no attempt was made by either associate to say they were sorry they couldnt take care of me or even to say have a good day. Poor customer service.*******Sold jewelry for the first time today at Treasure Hunt. Mary-Jo was a pleasure to deal with and explained the process thoroughly.
