I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but decided to give this place a fair chance. Service was just okay, maybe a slight language barrier but the young lady seemed kind. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and bread pudding. The sandwich was a delight. It had enough meat and toppings and the bread had a little crisp to it, which I liked. I havent had the bread pudding yet but I am confident that I will enjoy it tomorrow with my morning coffee. I will definitely return to this establishment π
I came here for breakfast before class (around 9 am on a weekday, not too busy) and was not disappointed. I got a ham and egg sandwich and an espresso. Sandwich was big, the bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside- so perfect. My only wish it that they had some non-dairy milk options for the coffee or an iced coffee option, but its so good Ill drink it even when its 100 degrees outside. Great bakery! Definitely going to be stopping here before school again.
I like this bakery very much, only issue is with the service, they donβt have enough staff for the amount of business that they generate. When you want yo order over the phone it can take you up to 20 or more calls to reach someone, after you do order then it can take you another another 1/2 hour to pick up your food. They donβt have one person manning the phone and they donβt have a pick up line. The food is very good, but they have a bad system and they need more employees to deal with the volume of customers.
I visited because a friend tell me about it.It was a nice place but at the time I arrive there is no much to choose available. About 1pm π€
The place seems to run in a lazy atmosphere especially the cashier. Gave me attitude for simply picking up an order I place half hour prior to pickup. I was patient and still polite. She still gave me attitude on the way out after I paid. If she had a bad day dont take it out on me!
The bakery food is AMAZING! Breakfast will not be disappointing. LOVE THIS PLACE.
This place is a hit or miss. Slow and disorganized service and a bit pricey. If you order something that you see in the hotbox make sure they set it aside while they are preparing anything else you may have ordered because they will sell it even if you ordered it first. This has happened multiple times. The sandwiches are good but very slim serving of meat.
I have been meaning to leave a review since day one, August & November 21-22 of 2020; I didnβt get a chance but will start the year off with a positive review.I ABSOLUTELY love this bakery!! Not only is everything fresh but everyone I have encountered has been so Amazing and Kind.I stop here now when I come to visit family and friends in Florida. Not only have they gone the extra mile for me knowing Iβm coming from NC but even to help me with short notice. From Kevin who makes the cakes (absolutely delicious) to every single lady assisting behind the counter, (fresh breads, cookies, sugar doughnuts, etc) if I could remember all their names I would name each and everyone of them. No matter how busy they are; and believe me they are ALWAYS busy, the 3 times Iβve been there I have left feeling like I was back in my Island.Thank you to all. See you soon β€οΈπ΄
Theyre okaaay. Customer service is average. Food average but π€· I recommend for an unexpected visitor. A quick place to get coffee and toast. They have a wide menu.
Service is very poor.... Ive been going here for more than 5 years and this place has changed tremendously.... The workers dont seem motivated and with bad attitudes....maybe they are over worked because it takes forever for them to bring out your food and I dont mean 20 minutes Im talking 30 to 45 minutes and they still dont get the order right. The owner is going to reply by saying thanks π€
Bruh! Legit puertorican food and drinks. Its just like the traditional panaderia in the island.
I love the food, pastries, and service. I had never been disappointed with anything, but their Cubano en media noche is perfect! Did I mention they make a tres leches to die for?
I was doing a delivery to this place i was impressed with the clean the kitchen was i order a egg ham and cheese mayorca super on point highly recommended
Is the greatest Bakery in Deltona, Orange City and Debary and you can include Deland...is the best....
Great place to have your Puertorican pastries. Good sandwiches, place somewhat small for lot of customers waiting in line. Otherwise great food and pastries!!
Ordered a pastry, and added the eggs, bacon, and toast as a breakfast. Buttered to perfection but not actually toast in the American sense...by that I mean it was buttered sliced French bread. The eggs and bacon were plentiful and good.
Love their bread and they bakery....but the taste of their coffee is too watery.it doesnt taste real Puerto Rican coffe
Best place ever! The sandwich coquitron is another level.Good place to visit i recomended 100%.Γ±
Yum. Giant sandwiches and tasty pastries
I love this bakery.Fresh pastries, friendly atmosphere...good prices
The service is what lowered the score here. People that arrived and ordered 10 minutes after me were getting their orders before me. No one looked my way to let me know my order status...I had to get up and tell the person at the counter that I still had not gotten my sandwich. The lady responded that the line was very long and thats why my order was delayed...I didnt bother to answer her, as she clearly didnt notice that other folks ordered after and got their food first. Whatever. They have yummy baked goods, but the service needs improvement!By the way, dont order an egg sandwich with everything if youre not a fan of lettuce and ketchup with your egg. The combo tasted super weird, and it was just like overly salty, but not flavorful. Ill stick to the pastries (thats if I come back).
Great coffee fresh products and great sandwiches...
Im pretty sure that sandwich just changed my life. Sooooo good!
Best bakery Iβve been to in a long time. Worth the wait. We had donuts and pastry filled with beef. So delicious!
Went to order some desert asked for the names she ignored me started taking the other person order told me they didnt have bread but I could see the bread . Asked someone else who worked there to give me the bread. The customer service was rude and they will ignore you if you donβt speak Spanish. I donβt care what I spent but i know they will never get a dime from me ever again. Worst service Iβve ever had
Probably some of the worst sandwiches made - ordered multiple and all were bland, such a waste of food.
Auhentic Puertorrican bakery, felt just like home!π€
Fantadtic service... Great food!!!
Long wait for the food even for coffee to be serve there is a waiting time, some staff have long faces but not all. after all is an ok place to eat.
Great food and cafΓ© con leche. Very clean, there is a hand sanitizing station and all the employees were wearing a mask. Going to come back!
Order the Cuban sandwich that wasnt put in the press. It was just a sandwich which I could have made at home and it would definitely have taste better.
Had Tripleta last week. Not so good. I would avoid this place.
Amazing little spot. Egg sandwich on cuban bread so good. Save room for dessert. Yes, you want dessert with breakfast. Dont ask why.
I love this place its really good
Amazing Pastries and desserts.
Best cheese bread in town
Super delicious ππ good attention clean
Excelent place to grab something to eat! Truly Lβ€οΈve this placeβΌοΈ
Any time I am in the area, I visit this place and cant get enough of the Quesitos, Guayaba pastelillos, and of course CONQUITRON. Very traditional Puerto Rican bakery that brings me home every time. Especially the way the staff treats me. This is one of my regular places.
Very good food and excellent service but waiting to much when the food is to go
Everything they make is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend
Three words to describe this bakery. Inept, slow, and rude.. waited 35 minutes for bread and butter one day. Waited 45 minutes for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. To find out they messed up order
With new administration is poor, one of the owners had a bad attitude. I suggest something and she jump with the attitude, definitely dont going back.I order a Cuban sandwich and I suggest her the next time cut the pork in slice and she told me that she cutter in squares. I said sandwich is gonna stay without meet and she told me that she did it that way. Was just a suggest.
Delicious food and pastries... Great coffee!
Wonderful smell hits you in the face as soon as you walk in. Friendly and clean and bakery goods are amazingly delicious.
Iβve been coming to El CoquΓ for the last 8 years. The sandwiches still great to my taste. All the βgoodiesβ are fresh. The new administration and the Staff always provide good customer service, and are very respectful.
Iβm so in LOVE with this bakery!! First time I tried the empanadas was at work, a coworker brought in the beef ones as well as the guava quesitos, and wow, I was HOOKED! I asked him where he got them from and he told me and Iβve been making a trip from Winter Park once a week or two (might have a slight obsession, but I promise itβs so worth it!). Iβve been sharing them with everyone to try, gotta share the love you know! This place is located in a plaza. I usually come in the morning and the plaza is fairly busy but I havenβt had an issue finding parking. The staff is always so sweet and welcoming, and patient while you order. Thank you thank you thank for such amazing food!
Best place ever!!
Amazing bakery in Deltona here, went there specifically for tres leches and was not disappointed. Very friendly staff, and the atmosphere is so nice. Cute little shop, highly recommend.
Great service, excellent for quality. The best coffee in the area.
Fantastic Cuban sandwich. Bread made on site. We stopped here while traveling past and so glad we did. Great eats and really nice staff that were so patient with our high school Spanish.
Good food. My only complaint is that you leave with the restaurants smell in your clothes. Very strong food smell. They should invest in some extractors!
Clean. Clean. Clean! Yummy too! Cleanest kitchen Iβve seen in my life
Food is amazing here!!!
They got the best sandwiches in this little bakery. They are located in the neighborhood with great parking, and other small stores including, a grocery store a barber shop and a laundry mat.
It is very clean and the food is amazing. They speak both English and Spanish. The parking is very limited and it is easy to pass the area without noticing the restaurant.
I havent been here in a long time. They are under new owners. They made improvement to place. It looks good. The food was very good as well reasonably priced.
One of the best bakery around, makes me feel like Iβm teleporting to P.R. Love it!!!!
I just ordered from them for the first time and Im really upset I didnt do it earlier. The food was fresh and hot. It tasted amazing aswell I will be trying to eat here a lot more often.
I used to love this place, but since they got new owners itβs not the same. The sandwiches have less meat and the scrambled eggs have less eggs and the mess up on the orders. Those are just a couple of the things Iβve noticed. Itβs just not the same, right now itβs OK.
A taste from back home, I love it!!!
Im sorry that i did not leave an actual review. but thank you for replying. the reason for the one star is that the people in the actual restaurant are neither trained or do not care about the image they give towards the public. I had a bad experience where i was treated very rude and that shows how bad the service was, and this is bad since the actual food was good. but this got ruined but the attitude from the people working at this location, i hope this gets fixed sooner than later and i am able to visit again once I visit again.Thank you for your time.
Great customer service on a busy day and food was delicious ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Very nice place, pastries are delicious, the bread was awesome but the sandwiches need more meat and less lettuce.
Very rude people. Very unprofessional. They are nice only to the people they like.
Great food, fast service. I moved from Puerto Rico to the States almost a year ago to date, and the moment I sat down to eat, I was right back on the island. It took me home. Great place.
Love this place. The first time i went there, one of the customers went on and on about how wonderful this bakery is. I was not disappointed. I look forward to going so i can try something new. Was not overly impressed with the chicken sandwich that the young lady working at the register recommended for me. The employees seem nice enough but dont expect smiles and knowledgeable customer service skills cause it aint happening, getting any kind of recommendations is like pulling teeth, not sure if its partially the language barrier or not. But anyway the pastries are delicious and cheap.
Food is amazing, staff was friendly.... always very busy so calling ahead to place an order for pick up would be the best decision!
I love coqui Bakery.good food and bakery.all my family loves it.will always come back again.
Very good food. Prices are very reasonable. Good place to visit. I recommend it.
Me and my husband come here every time we visit my mother-in-law. Everything weve tried has been amazing and the staff is always very nice. Love this place
Awesome Breakfast Sandwiches! Love the staff.
Absolutely delicious cup of coffee. Wonderful food, friendly service. Homey atmosphere
I finally stopped in after driving by for the past 2 years. Ive been missing out for all that time. I had a Beef and Pastrami sandwich, to die for, absolutely delicious. My wife had 2 cheese filled pastry, they didnt last very long. I will never drive by again.
I went for the first time on a Saturday morning. The bakery was not that full. Walked in and went straight ahead to where it said Beginning of the line. There was a girl there making coffee who saw me walk in and stand on the line but ignored me and the girls at the cash register also saw me walk in and ignored. Five minutes after a gentleman walks in and stands behind me and the girl at the register shouts out to him Next and immediately proceeded to attend him knowing i had been there first and had been waiting for a while.I think they should pay more attention on the walks ins and what their looking for. Specially if they are new people. Be more communicative and helpful. Customer Service is the most important thing in a company.
Small authentic Mexican bakery. She enjoyed the mayorca breakfast sandwich ($4) and I the omelette with 3 slices of fresh bread included ($6). Food was great. Counter service was friendly.
Great Sandwiches and the baked goods are awesome we always stop here when on vacation in the area
I was looking for a place to get a good breakfast sandwich this morning. I found El Coqui online and made the short trip. When I got there I was excited that the parking lot was full and so was the inside. At that time of morning seeing it so busy meant they had quite a following, if nothing else for breakfast. I went inside and they had menus in both English and spanish on the walls. I know some Spanish but was nervous of how well I could navigate ordering on my own. When my turn came up I guess the attendant could tell I was a little out of my league and made it clear I could order in english. I ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches with extra bacon. I also got a medium coffee con leche. My coffee was ready first as expected and came out almost perfect. I tend to like my coffee a slight bit sweeter so I added a dash of sugar and it was now perfect. Initially I thought the price was a little high for a breakfast but when the sandwiches came out I almost felt I under paid. These were large 12sandwiches with perfectly fried eggs, bacon, and plenty of delicious melted cheese. The shop carried many delicious looking desserts and a whole menu of other items I cant wait to try.
Im giving it a 3 star rating because some of my girls are still there and they are not the ones cooking. I did not realize this was under new ownership. Now it makes sense on the quality of food I have been getting. The steak sandwiches taste bland no flavor at all. Now what initially brought me to this place and I ranted about the tostada Best ever toasted/ flatten buttery bread. OMG to die for. Now it taste under cook not enough butter. Im so sad because I miss the old way.. I cant recommend this place no more..
Great customer service, super good bread. You have to try their specialty Pan con queso sweet bread filled with a cheese cream, super delicious!!
Love it!!! The bread yummy!!! And the sandwiches and the sorullos!! Man i wish we had this in NC . I buy it bread for me and for 3 more Families here in NC. Delicious!!!
UPDATE!!!!! --->>>OMG!!! I cant right now. The wait on a simple egg ham and cheese sandwich is RIDICULOUS. But because my man loves coming here we get it once in a blue. Its just crazy how we can order over the phone and ten mins later arrive and STILL wait 20mins i dont get it. Short staff π€ maybe or extra busy π€ thats always so what is it π€ π€·ββοΈ i dont know but its annoying. Its a Puerto Rican bakery. You can get loaves of bread with a smear of a sweet cream cheese in the middle and even some with guava and cheese. They fresh everyday and DELISH and they sell their own sofrito which i also love. Check them out. My boyfriend is a faithful morning breakfast ham egg and cheese customer thats on the run lol!! I think you will enjoy them too.
I love this little bakery, everyone is friendly and if you are looking for a truly Puertorrican sandwich you have to give it a try. You will not be disappointed and dont let me start with the sweets π
Love their pastries. Bread on Sunday morning the best nice and hot fresh of the oven but be there early.
Love this place, been going for years
Awesome menu and food is tasty as it should be. Love this place.
Convenient location from the house very Comfort Inn faces and employees they have at the establishment they take care of their customers but very good customer satisfaction cant wait to go back definitely
