Built an addition on my house. Troy helped me calculate my lumber and cornice needs plus they delivered my materials. During my build additional materials were needed mainly due to design changes. Brian, Zach & Jason all gave excellent service. Great customer service from 84 lumber.

I went to 84 lumber to make a materials purchase instead of Home Depot because this particular order is somewhat larger than my typical orders snd I though I sound get a better price through a volume company like them. It turns out that every item was priced significantly higher than Home Depot or my other supplier so I canceled the order. Instead of voiding my materials order they charged my card snd then issued a refund for the same amount which placed a several days hold on those funds effectively preventing me from starting my project or purchasing my materials from my usual suppliers. I’ve been working on getting the refund into my account for two days now to no avail.

Not happy with 84 Lumber. Twice in one week I was sold lumber that was not in stock. Oh but they have longer boards that cost more. Felt like extortion to me. No customer service skills.

Great place to deliver to. Bryan was a big help arranging to get me unloaded in a timely manner.

Very poor service and communication. My advice is to ask alot of questions and get clear answers before doing business with this company. I needed some materials delivered to my home. Asked how much lead was needed. Was told orders before 10 AM could be delivered same day. Not the case. Emailed my order before 7AM and called to confirm delivery. Was then told could not deliver that day and hopeful delivery could be made the following day. Then tried to pay. Was told cannot pay over the phone or online. So, I verified my order over the phone and pricing. Made the 20 mile drive to the store to pay. When checking out, I was told only half of the items on my order would be available. Needless to say, I was very frustrated and proceeded to use another vendor. Waste of time.

Im giving them one star because less than one star is not available. I had the benefit of knowing someone at this location and placing an order without any issues however, when I referred several of my neighbors to this location to buy the same thing that I special ordered, they were turned away and told we dont sell that. I just spoke with Steven at 84 Lumber after he told me his branch manager was unavailable and he told me that he is turning people away when they come in to special order vinyl siding because they just dont want to deal with it. Apparently they dont understand how customer service works. I will never refer anyone to that place ever again. Im a commercial construction project manager and Ive never encountered such a lazy response.

Wow what a unprofessional run business. 15 - 20 employees no one knows what the other is doing.No consistency, no tracking system, called 6 to 8 times on one project and everytime it take 15 mins of questions to try and find the project- excuses for everything, so and so is not here, cant find it under your name, who did you talk to last, that person is not here, call back tomorrow, and on and on.How does this place stays in business is beyond me. This is my first and last time doing business here. It would be easier to get a govt permit to cut down a tree and make the lumber yourself.Oh and when I talked to manager about problem, he did try and find out why, he had lots of excuses about how we have a lot of employees and not all know what others are doing? Are you kidding me? Thats the answer for incompetence and bad processes and record keeping? SmhI have had more pleasure at root canal appt than doing business here.
