Store was small and the womens selection wasnt very impressive. But that isnt why Im giving this store a single star. The customer service was horrible! When I went to check out, the only register I could find was in jewelry. I wait for the cashier to finish with the customer before me and place my items down.Stupid me assumed that I would be helped next. Instead someone who came after me said they wanted to see something in the case, so I was sent across the store ro wait in line for 15 minutes to pay. I understand that I was paying for a skirt in the jewelry department, but really? It would have taken less than 2 minutes to ring me up and send me on my way.When customer service dies, the store dies too. I dont expect a whole lot from stores or sales people anymore, but this was ridiculous!

I love shopping here. You have to look for something that goes together in different parts of the store but thats the fun of putting together an outfit. Their clearance is wonderful. Always fine something Im not looking for 😉. And big tip: They Always Have A Coupon!

Sujata is super rude lady. I went to return a pant. She just said you can not just return a 90 dollar pant. And Mentioned she speaks my language as of stating that she knows we don’t have money. I asked for manager she didn’t bother.

Literally just had the WORST experience I’ve ever had picking up an online order. I ordered dishes online since they weren’t available in store. And they brought these huge, half opened cardboard boxes out to me with more cardboard boxes in them. Clearly my order and others had been packed in the box. I literally had to stand at the register and empty out all of the large boxes to get my order. Breaking two nails in the process. Then after I did all that. The manager asks if I need help bringing the items to my car. NO! I needed help getting my order. I didn’t sign up for a job at JCPenny so why am I standing here emptying boxes to get my order?!? Will never come here again.

One dressing room was open, which was nice considering COVID, but there were 8 people in line to try on clothes. And not a single person working there to help the flow nor clean the dressing rooms. Then when checking out same issues. One line at the register with 16, yes I counted, in line. When I checked out, the girl helping couldn’t get a receipt to print. Waited over 10 minutes for a manager to stroll up and help. The Covid protocols to push everyone to one area seems counterproductive.Will not shop here again.

I always buy my bedding and curtains from this location. The staff’s knowledgeable and very friendly.

Very few employees and women clothing still too pricy

Pretty good sales and prices for big and tall shirts, which both me and my s/o need and are hard to find in cute styles.

Unfortunately I have a bad review for JC Penneys at Dayton mall There were no open cash registers you had to walk around looking to find a person and the girl in the jewellery department told me she couldnt check me out but she was going to go ahead and do it this one time but for future references she doesnt check people out. Well youve lost my business.

Good selection, good prices, friendly staff

Went to pick up an item that I ordered online. Turns out they gave me a customer returned merchandise and no one is helpful and no one cares! I will definitely not shop here at all ever again.

Saw this laptop backpack looked interesting. Have to return for more shopping soon, Pennys used to be my favorite place to get clothes for Giants. They stopped selling to the big and huge so I stopped buying them. News stories suggest they have rethought that blunder along with some others.

I haven’t shopped at JCPenney for a very long time. Wasn’t really a fan of the store because of previous customer service experiences in other locations. Today I went in to the Denton location and was greeted by all employees! Everyone was super helpful, and the store was immaculate. Very clean and organized. The cashier who rung me up was so friendly and made me feel so good about my purchases as she complimented the dress and shoes I bought. JCPenney has gained back an old customer. I will be shopping at this location often. Great staff, great management team.

I was in the area and stopped by to have the battery on my Pulsar changed. While there, I had a link removed from the band. Got great service from Francis at the jewelry counter. Discussed other issues with other brands I had. Very helpful. A lot of sales, almost bought a suit.

Actually I took someone there to shop. They had a good experience and bought several items.I had my grandson so he pulled me to his favorite section(toys). We bought his favorite game in the moment. All in all we all had a great time.

Bad experience with JCPenney! They closed my account just because I paid it out! And when I called to inquire about it, I received some convoluted response which didnt make a whole lotta sense! Buyer beware!

Had a great experience last Sunday at the Denton Penneys. The service and selection was excellent. I found a pair of Nikes that I was after. They had many shoe types and sizes available. The checkout clerk was great, too. The only glitch was the website says open at 10am on Sundays, but the store actually opens at Noon on Sunday.

Please update your store hours online to reflect you close at 7pm on sundays.

Found lots of stuff that wanted to buy but decided to wait on spending money.

It was good. A lot of sales going on.

JC Penney is usually one of my favorite stores. They are slightly upscale without being too stuffy. The Denton Store is the exemption. The atmosphere is trashy. As I entered the store a very happy employee began yelling at me from across the room. Wanting to help me or direct me. It was very off-putting. I am the last person to judge. However the tattoo covered employee sporting a nose ring completed the ambience of a bar not a retail store.

Real nice, and not as crowded. Alot of outfit and sport outfit for big and tall guys that are in style

Super small JCPENNEY store. Not anyone at the check out counter. I had to circle the store to find a check out person. I like JCPENNEY and dont want to see them fail.

Good service but selection is a little limited in most departments. Hard to find a good variety of shirts in my size(XL).

They have a buy one get one free sale on towels. The cheapest bath towel was $10. And an employee told me that those $10 towels were $2 last week. That kind of upset me. I will probably be getting Wal-Marts $4 towels.

Difficult to find prices, and no one at registers, but found a very prompt and professional lady stocking organizing the mens section and she used the radio to get someone to a register for me to check prices. No wonder JCP is struggling! Great folks working when you can find them, but merchandising 101 escapes this company still! Headed the same was as KMart snd Sears if they dont get items priced with sale prices! Tagged $60 for a dress shirt that rings up $22.99? Ridiculous!

Their selection is terrible and the staff act is if they have no idea what is going on. Im a frequent shopper at these stores and this is, by far, the worst Ive ever been to. Buyers need to buy accordingly so the selection isnt depleted from Black Friday to Christmas.

The salon inside the dentonJCPenney gives very BAD service. I took my son to get his haircut and sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes.No one even looked at us from the staff. 10 minutes after we had arrived two girls arrived and sat down and they got treated before we did! And I got their first! The stylist didnt even turn to explain why or tell us if they had an appointment. They just quickly walked to the back. I am never coming back here. They should not hire immature inexperienced teen so called stylists when they dont even know how to acknowledge a customer.
