My 17 year old was interested in starting the game and the owner was very informative and guided him in getting the best beginner set for the price and making sure that he wasnt missing anything. The owner was enthusiastic about the game, knowledgeable and willing to spend time explaining the game. My kid is getting excited about something that is NOT a video game, but that requires real time effort and thought. 5 stars.

First time I walked in I made it plain I was just starting and wasnt looking to spend much. Didnt matter. Brett took the time to show me everything and explain so much. What an amazing store and welcoming group.

The Workshop is a great place for any war gamer to visit. Tables and the facility is very clean and tidy. This this definately the best store in the area. Brett the manager is amazing and knowledgeable about the hobby from all angles. He is also great at painting and teaching people to paint models. Got to go here to play and paint more often. Mind you I am not the greatest painter.If you like my review please toss me a like! Im trying to rank up here and its tough😋

This store and the guy who runs it are a GIFT to Denton. This store and more importantly... the guy who runs it are the most welcoming that you could dream of asking for. Ive been in for 5 or so purchases. Every time he will offer sage advice on what i need, tell me what i do need, tell me what i plop on the counter that i dont need or offer a cheaper alternative and is welcoming to new comers and the experts. This is a great place to get into the hobby with a super cool dude who will guide you into what you need and furthermore be honest in what is the most cost effective and sit down and spend a half hour explaining the in and outs.I cannot explain how great of a place this or over exaggerate how much if you even have a curiosity on 40k how he will explain it in laymans terms without trying to get you to buy something.Seldom do you see somebody who just loves something and wants to genuinely help people understand and get into a hobby. For that alone, i am am a loyal customer.

Manager is friendly and eager to help, even to the extent of suggesting where to get the product you are looking for if he does not have it in stock. He knowledgeable in about the games he sells and makes good recommendations based on the customers interest, ability,and familiarity with Warhammer products.

Great location that is perfect if youre starting think about getting into the hobby and dont know where to begin. The manager Brett is extremely friendly, so helpful and has the knowledge to help you with whatever you need.

Store is very welcoming to new comers. I mainly come here for Citadel paints. The store manager is super friendly and not at all pushy with sales. I get the vibe that he genuinely wants to answer questions and enable me to make my own choices. +1 for this shop! This personal touch is all but lost in this world.

The moment any customer walks through the front door he immediately stops what he is doing to welcome the customers in and greet them with a smile. Friendly gamer base and awesome manager. There is a core group of regular gamers, but they have ALWAYS been willing to include me in pick-up games when I wanted to play. Whether casual or competitive player... painted or unpainted army... if you want to play youre going to find a game.

Great store, great management. Been going avidly for two years the management is always there when he is supposed to be. Many GW stores gave a cold corporate feel Brett makes the shop feel like a really welcoming game shop.

First time going to a games workshop place in general. Didnt really know what to expect but the man working there Bret (sorry if I misspelled your name) was very kind and helpful. Strongly suggest anyone thinking about getting into warhammer to come to this store. It has a really good atmosphere.

If you want to get into Warhammer for Real, then come to This Store. If you are lost in the dark woods with no lantern, no hope of finding your way out, then ask for Moises and let Him be your Guide. He will give you All the Wisdom that is required to play Warhammer that you could ever need. Moises will take care of you. Manager very helpful has really improved my painting skills and has really improved my modeling. Store does close 4:00- 4:30 for lunch everyday. Friendly player base and everyone is open for a game and will try to include everyone they can into a game if tables are taken.

Brett is a wonderful guy, really helps myself and other both get into the hobby and feel welcome in the environment.

With a great manager in Brett Lormand, combined with an assortment of fantastic miniatures games and a friendly community, this is a fantastic place to spend my time. Brett was more than willing to mentor me in the entire hobbying process. From free building and painting classes (with miniatures bought from Games Workshop), to teaching me how to play the various games he sells. If you have ever been interested in table top gaming, or in the Warhammer Universes it is definitely the place to go. This is a hobby, so be prepared to get into a hobby. FOR THE EMPEROR!!!

Hours are weird. And they are open at the weirdest time. Not normal at all. They gentalmen try to sell me something that was way more expensive, but other then that its a nice place to shop.

The manager is a good guy and very helpful.. though the Internet postings times are off I think.

Closes early for no apparent reason. Has happened to me 3 times where i show up around early 7 and he is just closed (door very clearly says 8). Put on the door that you close at 7 or closing times may vary and we should call. 2 Stars might be harsh but not having established closing+opening times makes me ask why should I support my local games workshop store when the employee (just one guy) does not communicate with his customers?
