Favorite market space in Denver!Wasnt anticipating how amazing and Grand this whole market area would be. Lots to offer. Great design. Inviting and warm. Some of the shops are still not open. But many of them are. Not too busy. And a great space to meet up with friends. Love the coffee shop here, hotel, cheese, wine, and restaurants.
Ordering your food is all done via a QR code. Looking at the prices, the most sensible thing appeared to be the chicken sandwich. I also added bacon to the sandwich and a side of tater tots. When it came to my table the presentation was reminiscent of the school lunch trays - sans milk carton (ironic, I know). The sandwich was very tasty. The chicken was fried to perfection and the lettuce and tomato were cool and crisp. The sauce was a mild tahini-like texture/flavor - it worked nicely with the chicken. The tots were OK. For some they might taste a bit over seasoned (I had some of those)...but the frying was great..crispy outside with soft middle. If there was one issue with this experience, it was the service fees. Since the delivery is mandatory, I would have just preferred the price to include that fee.
Love the new ordering system- scan the code and see all the menus and all of your options, then the food is brought to you! The only thing is the drinks- we had to get in line at the bar for soda. It would be nice if you were able to order soft drinks or water to come to the table as well. I had an amazing Cobb salad with steak, fish was good, chips too salty. Kitchen sink pizza was tasty and the crust was light and airy. Burger was good as were the brussel sprouts. Definitely the place to go so everyone can get what they want. A good place to hang out with friends and enjoy a meal!
Great places for nice chill music, variety of food and more.. Great place for after work to chill and unwind after a long day!! You have plenty of options and people are really nice and helpful. This is a plus for people not from the area and new to this place.. You can’t go wrong wonderful place!!
Fun place. You find a seat, scan the code and order. They will deliver your food to you. There is a hearty fee for delivery but the money is divided amongst all staff (dishwasher to cooks). Clean and free bathrooms, which is very limited in downtown. The only down fall I experienced, lack of non-alcoholic drinks and no way to order drinks online.
My wife’s boss told her about this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Had the chicken Parmesan pizza with garlic bread. The pizza was delicious and the garlic bread was perfect. Everything was ordered online which was a nice touch. They add a service charge for their workers which is nice. Place looked very clean and they had placards on the table which told you if they were sanitized as well as digital menus. Will come back!
I want to like this place because its a really cool concept. A+ for the idea, but C- on the execution. Getting your food takes FOREVER and I get that they get busy but it shouldnt take 45 minutes to bring out a burger and fries. The food is also nothing special. Theres a premium on everything and they have created a cool space and a unique vibe thats really fun, but the prices are so high and the food doesnt justify it. Everything is pretty meh. There are a lot of options, from poke to seafood to burgers, but none of it is exceptional or even all that memorable.I think if they got some serious chefs in here and got organized they could really help this place live up to its potential.
Good visual experience, poor palatable experience.I didn’t think you could mess up a $12 sandwich. But the bread was dry and hard. You know, the bread makes the sub. My father in law didn’t get his soup, so we had to go ask for it. I know. I know. Not a big deal about the soup. So the bread is the primary reason for the low star rateage. Also the sorbet contains whey protein! I’m pretty sure that’s illegal. If you google sorbet it’s dairy free. So that’s dangerous!Hope for the best. Maybe as a lactose free individual I shouldn’t patron a “milk market”. So that one is on me.
Has potential, but lacks ability to seal the deal.Clear directions and signage for their concierge desk would be very helpful. The S&G Grinder sandwich was decent; it would have been better if it wasnt missing the added bacon; which costs an extra 25%.
For a first time, it got me interested enough that I look forward to exploring the menu more next time. And they have a wide variety of a menu too! I tried the Spaghetti & Marinara with garlic bread and I would recommend it if you’re looking for a simple, standard spaghetti. The noodles were perfect but the sauce lacked any special characteristics though. Tomato heavy that goes very well with some extra bread on the side (order it!). But it’s simple and got the job done. Look forward to the next time.
Overall its ok. I have eaten here very regularly for the last couple of years and its a great spot, but service and food are very inconsistent and very pricey for what you get. $20+ for a salad or sandwich. Its a great spot if you need to grab a quick bite to eat but I wish it was more reasonably priced. Service is often unfriendly and seems unengaged. Waiting to order and pick up food can feel daunting because there seems to not be enough employee coverage around lunchtime. Its decent food, but again, the prices are shocking.
Totally terrible. Confusing process to order. Cant tell what each vendor is selling when you walk buy there booth. No pictures and pricing. It took 25 minutes for my daughters meal arrive. And when it arrived it was wrong. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Such a great place to go to in Denver, except that you have to be fully vaccinated to go in or they will not let you in or even dine in. Big turn off, and you can’t make anyone get vaccinated. Will not be dining here ever again and this used to be a go to for the events, food and atmosphere. Skip, Skip, Skip
Okay hear me out. Imagine a food court with upscale options. Something for everyone, order with your phone, servers bring the food straight to you. Theyve got Italian, American, Asian and more.
Go elsewhere. Fish tacos were not very good, Brussels sprouts were mediocre and everything else looked equally blah. The Denver Central Market is 100x better. Go there! Everything there is delicious. Even the vibe, the atmosphere and the music are better there.
Darling food hall with so.ething for everyone and near lots of cute shops. My poke bowl was just okay but the coffee and salads we also got were great.
Food hall with great selection. I had the calamari and my friend had the poke bowl. The calamari was delicious and the spicy red sauce really made the dish sing! I messed up and ordered to the wrong table; the manager Alice was very responsive and fixed it without making me feel dumb for the mistake. Also, Alice’s bow tie is worth the visit. I’ll be back. Thanks again!!!
It was a good place to go when we had no reservation on a Saturday evening in Denver. There is no food there that Im dying to go back and eat, but there was also no food that I wouldnt have a second time.
A terrible start to a great night. I ordered a sandwich then went and got a nice and pricey drink from the bar. Then pretty soon an hour has passed and all my friends’ food has arrived but mine hasn’t and no server takes a notice. I have to track down a server, show them my receipt, all just for them to be able to help me. It then takes another 30 minutes to get the sandwich I had now ordered an hour and a half ago. The servers offer no help and not even a mention of giving me any discount for this wait or the fact I had to do half the job for them. The best part of going there was leaving. Unless you have an hour and a half to spare for a sandwich and a deep wallet for drinks, I suggest you go somewhere else.
This place is wonderful, full of life and energy and numerous great places to grab food from. The front is where most of the lively atmosphere comes from so go there for the people and the back is a bit quieter and more intimate so sit there for space to have a conversation. You can order from anywhere and sit anywhere you like. The pizza and fresh pasta place is great. Gelato at the back is also great, really good pistachio gelato.
Mediocre at best experience at Denver Milk Market. Ill start with the few positives. The staff are friendly and helpful. There was a nice gentlemen that told us the process to order. When I had issues with my food another staff was very responsive. Has a cool vibe. Reminded me a bit of Chelsea Market in NYC.However, I would not recommend Denver Milk Market. I ordered the special a hanger steak with frites topped with a chimichurri. The steak tasted off. I wasnt sure if it was spoiled or the chimichurri was off. I had a few others at my table try to confirm it wasnt just me. This is one of my favorite cuts too. The staff did quickly correct this and I ordered a bolognese which was good along with a tagliatelle shrimp dish my girlfriend had. I would have given my review 4 stars vs 2, but this establishment charges gratuity automatically at the bar. The bar tender didnt tell me this and I inadvertently tipped 40%. I only found this out after my friend told me after she ordered a drink. Im generally not okay with automatic gratuity for placing an order for 2 drinks. Its disrespectful and dishonest to not disclose to customers in hopes that they overtip. My advice, if you want to do that just price it higher and say you dont need to tip, like Zo Ma Ma does down the street. I wont be returning to this place.
I came here to experience the food hall after reading about all the great options they had. I was a little worried when I read how terrible the parking was but I was able to find street parking right out front. It was a Tuesday around lunch time, so maybe a bit slower than other days. But the inside was well decorated and definitely cute! The food works a little differently with COVID now and you actually sit at a table and order the food from an app rather than go to each stall. It worked fine, but some of the stalls we were most interested in werent even open at the time which was a little disappointing. But overall the food was good and Id say a decent price for what you get.Id recommend a stop in!
1st time visit to the Milk Market. Great experience. Good food. I was looking for more healthy choices though.
Super fun and electric atmosphere! Food was a bit pricy but the fish tacos I ordered were flavorful and filling. They had a bit of a problem trying to fulfill my side order of sweet potato fries but their customer service was absolutely astounding and definitely made up for it. The ice cream was also very good! Would come back again if downtown parking wasn’t a nightmare haha!
I would say, “You can put lipstick on a mall food court, and serve alcohol, but it’s still a mall food court,” but that would do a great disservice to mall food courts everywhere. And the food at the mall court is better, by far.
Gorgeous. Loved the atmosphere. Dinner was delicious. I was super bummed by the dessert selection, nothing too appetizing.
I have always loved dining in here.Order take out tonight(I know it is slow and low staff) but we ordered the baked rigatoni with wild bore and it was disappointing... usually the sauce is thick and meaty but watered down this time. Was really looking forward to it.We will be back but maybe not for take out. :/
We stopped there while walking around in Denver downtown area, this small area is like a hidden secret. Lots of restaurants (and they are good). I am pretty sure whatever your taste bud asks for, you should be able to find one restaurant to satisfy. Very Hip and full of energy. We were there on Saturday evening. Great place if you are into people watching.
I pop over to the Milk Market from time to time to grab some quick lunch during my break. The atmosphere is great! I wish there were a few more options to choose from for lunch, but still a pretty cool place to spend time at.
Was walking around downtown and decided to give this place a try. The place itself looked nice but the staff were less then helpful. While reviewing the menu to decide what to order the person manning the kiosk that they require to place a to-go order wandered off. There was a queue of two people other then myself waiting to check out when he left. After placing the order the total came out to about 35% more then what the menu had listed as the price (I think they changed the gratuity after ordering).
On my second time around, this experience was much different than the last. Last being the very beginning of Covid. This time was very crowded and the ordering experience was less than adequate. It may have been because we chose to sit outside and had to use the QR method but we kept getting different wait staff try and bring us the wrong order. My friend ended up getting the wrong order and as he finished his food, the right order came out from the kitchen. It was confusing because none of the wait staff spoke very loud. Being outside on a busy street, youd think they would be a lot louder and speak clearer. My biggest issue was the no napkins or silverware with the food coming to the table. Also, there wasnt even an option for drinks and the only side options were some cold fries or macaroni and cheese. Despite this experience, I am still willing to give the Milk Market another try. It is a nice establishment and there is a lot to offer here. Just needs to work out the kinks.
Ok - hear me out here - i don’t think this place is known for their breakfast food but it SHOULD BE. i don’t have photos of either plates we ordered because we ate them so quickly but they were both DELICIOUS - you must get the buttermilk pancakes (i’m a pancake person and these were some of the best ever), side of bacon and avocado toast (which comes on a thick baguette - next level). grab coffee from inside at Morning Jones or Huckleberry and you are good to go.
Ordered easily and paid using toast. The food came in with great smile. The truffle or 🍄pizza was so good. The fish and chips tooNice atmosphere but can get loud
Great spot! Just don’t get the green chili mac n cheese unless you have an iron stomach
Don’t order from MoPoke. You get two pieces of fish and a bunch of rice. Should be called LessPoke or littlePoke or StingyPoke. Rip off….
My wife and I were given a $50 Milk Market gift card for our wedding, and this was the first time we’d been on a date in over a year. We were told to order outside at our table through the app, which doesn’t work with gift cards. So we went inside and walked around to find where we could get some help with our order. We were instructed to go to the entrance where there was a to-go order kiosk. We waited for 5 minutes before we flagged a staff member to come help us. After placing our order we were told to wait and the attendant would bring our food to us. We waited around for 30 minutes, and when my wife went back to the attendant was informed that our food had been sitting at the front desk for a while.Long story short, their to-go food ordering process was a mess, and the staff was poorly trained and inattentive. Moreover, 22% gratuity is added to every purchase, regardless of the quality of service. The only reason it got 2 stars is that the food was decent. We will not be visiting the Milk Market again.
An upscale food court. I loved it, and the concept. A bit loud.
Definitely a unique place but you pay for the experience. Was the food good? Definitely. Atmosphere hip and cool? Yes. We had the fish and chips and the bao buns which were delicious. Would I pay $20 for each item again? No. The alley way is beautiful and has a cool vibe. Maybe a place to grab some ice cream instead.
Extremely disappointing experience. Completely flat gin and tonics I paid 10 dollars for at the bar. It took us 10 minutes to get someone to help us use a gift card. The calamari and Bolognese were both extremely bland and completely under portioned for the price. An overall abysmal experience.
A must go to if you are in Denver! Find an outdoor table in the back alley and enjoy a variety of options for food and drinks!
Concept is cool. Plenty of food choices. We had the pizza place. That was mediocre. Not the worse pizza and not the best.
Great vendors and love the concept of ‘scanning’ and ordering food that gets delivered to where you are sitting (bar areas and tables each have a QR code)FYI: Not sure if this applies to all the bars but when ordering alcohol and beverages there’s an AUTOMATIC GRATUITY added (due to Covid) not a big deal but the first bartender never told us and we tipped extra but the second time, another bartender mentioned it to us.
The breakfast burritos warm my hands on my walk to work.
I respect your right to charge what you want and I appreciate you paying tips out to everyone from kitchen staff to severs via your surcharge. But you menu prices are wrong or your bartenders are charging more than what is listed. It would be better if you spent 50 cents to update your menu so they’re correct so no one has to feel awkward about it. In particular—ciders listed for $5 but I was charged $6. No big deal for the dollar but I resent the menu being wrong.
This is such a fun spot to hang out! It was fun to mozy around, look at all the food choices, and then sit and have a couple drinks one of the many bars before deciding on what we wanted. Unfortunately, the bao bun place ran out of about half their menu items which was disappointing, but the buns they did have left were fantastic! I also tried a couple different pizzas- both were white pies and very tasty. This is a great place to go when everyone’s in the mood for something different.
The wild mushroom pizza is to die for. Sweet potato tots are also amazing. Highly recommend sitting in the alley if weather permits, great atmosphere!
Honestly, I love coming here because it’s a great vibe. Plenty of food and drink options - pizza, burgers, beer, tacos, etc. if you’re a foodie...I wouldn’t recommend this as the place to go. But if you come on Sunday for drag bingo, drink with a few friends and dance the day away...you’ll have a blast 🕺🏽💗. Those KWEENS are responsible for this four star rating .
I really like Milk Market but the added 24% fee seems excessive. I like the idea of trending towards no need for tipping and Ive seen it in other places, 18%, 20%... but 24% is too high.
It was great until they tipped themselves 24%. We were also only a party of 2.A bit presumptuous don’t you think? What happened to earning your tip? Service was fine but not 24% worthy. This was a turn off.
Excellent food court. Easy to miss. Not very good outdoor signing.
While I would normally love to rate higher, unfortunately this place has not adapted well to the covid measures. You can no longer wander around or order at the vendors. And my bill has come out inexplicably substantially higher than expected on my last few visits with the new system.
Salad was so bland, the chicken just overcooked, and just cold. Overall did look appetizing though. Couldnt finish it at all. The staff is definitely amazing and caring. I dont know what happened. Probably was a off day.
Denver Milk Market is one of my favorite places to pick up a hot drink while Im in Downtown Denver. I often stop by this place several times a week while Im in the area. The Dairy Block alleyway that runs adjacent to the Denver Milk Market is great to go to and relax after coming here. Come and stop by the Denver Milk Market!
The absolute worst service I have ever received. Tonight we sat at the bar top where we are supposed to be served by a bartender. We waited a good 15 mins for someone to look in our direction before we got sick of waiting and hopped in the bar line where we had to wait another 10 mins with everyone else ordering drinks. We paid $30 for 2 8oz drinks because no one told us gratuity was automatically added to the check and we tipped 20% of out bill. When speaking to a manager, she made us feel entirely invalidated, twisted our words and made our terrible experience our own fault. By far the worst service, management and food I have ever had. Save yourself some time and frustration and go to Wynkoop instead.
Denver is the first place we have traveled since the beginning of the pandemic, so we were a bit nervous about what the regulations would look like in another city. Being from Indianapolis, we have been pretty cautious...diligent mask-wearers, washing hands, and social distancing, along with not getting out more than necessary. For Spring Break, we decided to venture outside of the state and travel to Colorado. We flew into Denver and wanted to see the Rockies Stadium. We went to the Milk Market for lunch and we were very impressed. Not only was the food good (a bit pricey), but the regulations they have in place are great. Staff is following protocol, temperatures are taken upon arrival, and tables are marked as sanitized or not and updated frequently. Great work, Milk Market! Thanks for putting my anxiety about travel at ease!
We stopped in at the coffee counter and found the service friendly despite being pretty busy, and their in-house creations were definitely delicious. Also the Dairy Block alley is ripe and ready for awesome selfies and photos!
The food was absolute garbage - got chicken and waffles and it was completely tasteless and so greasy. The waffle looks like some eggo they took put of the freezer. They also add 20% gratuity by default and all they do is bring you the food. Plastic plates, utensils, etc. You get better food and service at McDonalds, for a third of the price. Not stepping foot again in there.
I was excited to try the market today. I ordered onion soup that came out without any cheese or bread on top. Sent it back and they added those things but by that time the soup was cold. The other thing I ordered was fairly good but rather dull in taste. Hopefully the restaurants are better. Also was not happy with the included 22% tip added. I like to add my own tip and if they are really good, I tip at least 25 to 30%. Since my meal was subpar, I was not happy that the tip was added already.
So my husband and I ordered food from Ruths Butchery and Bonanno Brothers Pizzaria. My husband loved the burger from Ruths. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with toppings from Bonannos and they forgot the pepperoni (lol) but it was so good, I didnt even care! We also got decision ice cream too from the creamery in the market. Would highly recommend!
I regret going to the DMM. It was a zoo with poor service, poor seating, poor instructions for ordering, and overpriced so-so food. There are dozens of better choices for great food and atmosphere in Denver. Pass!!
Always love visiting! The food options are amazing, from Asian to Italian and quite a few in between! Very aesthetically pleasing as well .
Love this place! What a fun idea!
GREAT for kids too!We recently visited with a big group of people - 10 adults and five children aged from 6 mths to 8 years old. Not only did everyone find what they wanted to eat, but the staff manager (Shannon) came out to see if we needed anything extra - she was INCREDIBLY accommodating, and said she loved that we had all these kids with us to visit. It’s not often you find a downtown restaurant that welcomes kids like that - we will be back FOR SURE. Oh, and by the way - all the food here is incredible. 😂
This place is PERFECT for time alone to work or for a group lunch-- with multiple options, everyone can pick what they want! I highly suggest the pizza or pasta section. You also have some super cute shopping sections
Pizza place are thieves.. Charge you for things they dont have then refuse to refund the money.. Avoid this place. Dude cooking food not wearing gloves, touching/using cell phone in between making peoples pizza.. Disgusting..Update.. Now dude is eating a piece of pizza ON THE LINE..
Definitely a good experience. We both ordered pasta, which was alittle too pricey, but it was delicious! I was hoping there’s be alittle more to do here, but it’s definitely worth going to for some food!
Awesome market with a great atmosphere. So many vendors there are definitely options for everyone!
I’d give them environment four stars but the food was solid 3 stars. I went with a couple of friends so we got to try a variety of things and none of them were impressive or notable.
Fun place but food was average, spendy for what it was. Had fish tacos, fair. Had clam chowder, room temp and fair. The highlight was the nice outdoor table and the Odells ipa, a light decent ipa. Wife had blackened fish sandwich, also room temp but pretty good. Nice concept but food nothing to write home about.
Nice walking area, seating, shopping and food.
Fyi: The “Milk Market” doesn’t have milk... Maybe that’s obvious to everyone else but I was really looking forward to a good glass of milk.
Wide variety of choices and delicious food all around
Its a bit expensive, but my tofu Bao buns were excellent. The service was very quick. The bun dough is vegan according to the cashier, but they offer lettuce wraps as well! I really couldnt stop eating them once I started-the whole plate lasted maybe five minutes. Ill definitely be a repeat customer!
Met with Dennis and asked his opinion on which bowl to create. He was very helpful since I have never been there before. It was absolutely worth trying out. The brown rice with chicken and lemongrass sauce was incredible. I recommend taking a moment and trying a bowl from here.
