Its one of the few remaining smoking establishments in Denver. Its the only one that I know of where you can also have dinner with your cigar. Its also located inside of the beautiful and historic Brown Palace Hotel, which is a bonus. Ibrahim and Shelly are two great bartenders there who were so nice to me when Ive gone there in the past.
Excellent! One of th few places you can enjoy a cigar.
Been many times with wonderful service, but service was off-kilter on this most recent visit. Empty tables were visible, but we couldn’t be seated due to a wait list. But they seemed to have difficulty managing said waitlist and we ended up leaving when others who arrived after us were seated. If you can get in, a great/fun experience. This last visit, unfortunately, was not.
Visited in April 2021. Bartender Ibz was THE BEST! Bartender with both skill and flair! Can’t wait to go back to Denver and will call ahead to see when he’s working. Nice comfy chairs and great ambience. Very reasonably priced for the service, product and atmosphere.
Good service, no nagging. One of the last of a dying breed in Colorado.
Relaxing spot for drinks and cigars. Nice comfortable furniture and long bygone decore. The cigar selection is limited, but forgivable. Affable and attentive staff. Id be happy to bring clients here for a drink and smoke.
If you ever enjoy burning a big wad of tobacco, this place is must see while you are in Denver. There are a few other smoking establishments in DTC that offer larger accommodations, but they are missing what Churchills has to offer: class. The setting here is so relaxing Id almost consider asking to eat in the cigar room if I could tolerate the smoke and food. The hotel here is beautiful as well, if you have the chance and the funds, I highly recommend a weekend stay here even though it is quite a ways from LODO or the heart of the 16th St mall.
It is a very classy cigar bar. Good selection. Good drinks. Outstanding service. What more could you want?
One of the only cigar bars in town. Our server was solo, holding down the entire bar on a Wednesday night and was still very attentive. Too bad they do last call at 9:30pm, but had a great time smoking cigars & enjoying some wine.
Terrible service. Ignored and then mocked for asking for service. Id recommend anywhere but this bar.
This was a fantastic place to enjoy a cigar and scotch. Staff was incrediblely friendly and kind. Selection was great. Very calm ambiance.
Timeless cigar lounge. Always a great experience.
If you like cigars and an old school snobby bar you need to come here. The cigar selection isnt the best, but they have good ones and the ambiance makes it totally worth it.
Great place to gather with friends.
Very nice place to have a smoke. I would suggest you bring your own as the cigars offered here are pricey. They do have a decent selection but I find it best to spend my money on drinks instead.Friendly staff, comfortable seating, nice decor and s good bar.Follow my YouTube channel 5 minute cigar review
Very classy cigar bar!
Josh was an amazing bartender, and also knew a lot about cigars. He made our night!
Extremely overpriced for what it is. Hotel bar to the extreme. I’d go to any other cigar bar
Great service, food, drinks and smoking! Its so nice to have a drink and smoke without going outside. Made new friends while there. No watered down pours. Desserts are amazing! Prices are decent for downtown. Comfortable area. Not a single complaint
Excellent atmosphere. Quiet and enjoyable. Abraham was very knowledgeable in cigar and bourbon selections. Great service. Highly recommend and would return when in the area.
A great place to smoke cigars and look at the beautiful room and furniture. Great staff and always take care of us. I would highly recommend it and also be patient because usually it is super packed but they are quick to respond.
Not sure as to the quality of the food, but judging by the service I would expect it to be less than stellar. I arrived late to the hotel due to airline delays and I was hoping I could squeeze in for dinner just before 9. I stood waiting at the host station for several minutes as multiple staff members walked by and wouldnt even acknowledge my presence. I would have been fine if they had just acknowledged and let me know they were closed. Flat out ignoring me until I made them acknowledge my presence - not acceptable. Plenty of other better restaurants to spend my money at.
Nice cigar bar in the Brown Palace. Great service. The drinks are fabulous. My husband enjoyed his cigar.
It’s classy looking but easily the smallest Cigar Bar I’ve been too. Very small selection and what they do have is way overpriced. 22 bucks for an Oliva Series V is ridiculous. That’s a 6-9$ stick anywhere else. You can get a Padron 1964 for $20 at Habana Manor Cigar Lounge in Louisville, CO. Habana Manor has a huge selection and better pricing. Its worth the gas money to go there to buy a good stick. You’ll still save money overall and have a much more enjoyable experience.
Wonderful cigar bar on Denver in the historic Brown Hotel. Cigars are pricey, and the selection of cigars is limited, but you can bring your own cigars if you order drinks. Comfortable chairs and a good selection of whiskeys. I will definitely come back the next time Im in Denver.
The bartender Rachael was amazing!! I just stoped in for a quick drink after work and had the TIME OF NY LIFE, place is great! I would recommend it to anyone at any time for sure.
Great cigar bar. Old school club feel and great service. Nice selection of cigars and Scotches, Whiskeys and Bourbons.
Still the classiest place for scotch and cigars. Magnificently appointed. Friendly staff. Well equipped. Always a great time.
Our server was phenomenal! No cutting fees. Best absinthe cocktail I have had in awhile. The ambiance and location are breathtaking.
Loved it. Not a five for me ... They werent very nice when we first arrived. That was overcome after 3 cigars and two hours of cocktails!!! The decor is cool old school. The TV is like 27 and a joke. They should just take it out. The bathroom is far but the hotel lobby is beautiful so it was OK. Ill be back for sure.
Old school classic. Great service. Friendly staff. Ventilation could probably use an update but I’ve been to a lot worse places. One of the coolest places to enjoy a cigar in the US. You can buy one there or bring your own. No cutting fees. Ibriham provides great service as well as the rest of the staff. Drink selection is good. Cigar selection is limited and overpriced but it’s what I would expect. It’s a high rent location in an amazing historic building so one shouldn’t expect strip mall pricing.
Very friendly staff. Love the atmosphere of the room. Just very pricey.
Best cigar bar in Denver! Excellent selection of cigars & scotch. Perfect ambience. Sports TV available most of the time. Be forwarned, seating is first by membership. There is a waiting list to become a member. If you are patient you can be seated but expected a rather long wait.
Excellent service, strong heavy pours, great selection of cigars in the typical $20 range. Very smokey place however. Even for a regular smoker and patron of cigar shops... Its a bit excessive.
This is a fine establishment. Great decor, cigars, spirits and food. The go-to place for cigars in denver.
Great atmosphere, fair cigar collection, good bar choice. So, it is a good place to hang out and to smoke a stogie.
Always love my visits here. Staff is so friendly, and food is great. Great selection of cigars too
Best whiskey and cigar bar in town. Love this place for a drink and a smoke, very fun.
This is a cool spot. Have a drink, smoke a cigar indoors, and feel like a real man. Friendly staff too.
Great cigar bar in beautiful hotel. And bring your own cigars is OK
Best and only cigar bar in town. Great burgers, atmosphere.
Classy and nice atmosphere,, pretty good food menu and a huge drinks menu.Ibrahima is the man, polite, helpful and always on top of his job.
Excellent old fashioned cigar lounge. On the smaller side so be prepared for a possible wait. Drinks are reasonably priced. Good place to talk to a colleague and not have to yell.
Great whiskey and cigar selection. Great atmosphere. Great service. A little pricey, but worth it.
It is a wonderful thing to discover a cigar bar in the middle of a smoking-unfriendly (well... tobacco smoking anyway) city. Even better, the drink selection is outstanding, featuring many fine accompaniments to your premium cigar, such as a wide variety of single-malt scotch. Port of various vintages is also available. Whoever said the best things in life are free has never been here. That said, its not cheap, but neither will it cost you arms or legs.
Great place, laid back good whiskey an awesome atmosphere!Highly recommend.Awesome service, great bartender!
Churchills is a legendary cigar bar located in an amazing historic hotel. Perfect for charcuterie, scotch and cigars.
Great environment. Beautiful place. Cigar selection very limited. Service ok.
Great place to light up a stogie and enjoy a glass of whiskey
I wouldnt buy a cigar there, too expensive. Id get one from the shop around the corner. That said, great atmosphere, friendly staff and good drinks.
A nice quiet evening with friends, great atmosphere will definitely be back again!
Smokey atmosphere. Duh, I guess. Pretty cool other than that. Scotch selection is good.
Great vintage cigar lounge with incredible le ambience and awesome service.
Nice place with respect to appearance. Very overpriced. Service staff wasn’t friendly and poor selection of cigars. Wouldn’t recommend.
Not bad for a place to have a smoke. A lot of history within the walls. But a lil too pricey for needing an interior update even with keeping all the nostalgia (new drop ceiling tiles for starters....)
Best cigar room in town. Waitstaff is amazing, especially Abraham
Been going here for years. Still love the ambiance but the menu and service left something to be desired. Many mistakes made, all of which were corrected with professionalism. Asked to see the wine list and the only had 7 or 8 red wines to choose from. No filet, no strip, no ribeye on the menu. Was a strange experience today.
Wow. Old school whiskey and cigar bar. A place to see local politicians and financial peeps. Ventilation for a cigar bar is terrible however. Service is top notch and whiskey selection is high.
Great atmosphere, club feel, smokey, comfy couches, awesome drinks, apps, cigars. Crying when I left.
Scotch, cigars, food, and a great atmosphere. The Brown Palace features this cozy little place in Downtown Denver.
Churchill’s cigar bar is just a room with a bunch of fancy chairs and art on the wall. What makes this place stand out as THE BEST cigar launge in Denver is the absolute exceptional/top shelf staff. Melissa and Ibz are the reason I come here often. Never have I felt so welcome than when these two are working together. I, and many of my co-workers, agree that this place is a great success because of the way the staff treats the customers. You can’t beat this customer service. If you question my review I invite you to try it yourself, you will not be disappointed.
Always have a great time here! Service is top notch and staff is fabulous!
I have been going to this place for the last 10 years and have had very pleasant experiences...Until my last one when the bottom fell out. I was charged 100 dollars for 2 shots of Crown Royal Reserve. That is criminal! I do not know if its the new person overseeing the bar(The drink pours are horrible compared to previous managements), made entry mistakes when the liquor prices were loaded or just sheer greed, but whatever it should be a crime to price gouge for that liquor. The least they could have done was alert me to the fact that it was an exuberant price. They did not. I was in New York City a night earlier and the same shot was 23 dollars! And that was NYC! The manager over seeing the club did nothing. Guess she is just a puppet.
Awesome, cigar selection was the finest I have ever seen. Service is outstanding.
Delicious selections of liquors, cocktails, and cigars. Awesome waiters.a great experience all around
Good cigar, good appetizer and great service! Will definitely come back next time we are in Denver .
Great atmosphere, expensive drinks, ok beer selection, good cigars.
Old school cigar bar - worth a trip if you like rich history
Excellent drinks, fine ambience, but very steep prices.
Great staff and relaxing atmosphere.
Very pleasant atmosphere/decor, very good drinks, fairly expensive (but not overpriced), decent service, they also offer cigars (so expect to smell them/smell like them)
One of the highlights of Denver late night city life. Come here to enjoy a good drink with your friends, and smoke you a fat stogie.
Nice place good staff.
Great place and atmosphere... but a middle of the road glass of scotch and a cigar ran me $50.
One of the very few places you can smoke a cigar, so worth a trip. Very light selection of spirits and cigars. Nothing terribly high-end, but priced like it is (the prices must include the cost of atmosphere because they were way out of touch). Dont expect much in the way of selection and you will enjoy.
A great place to meet friends for any occasion to have a great cigar and drinks.
Fantastic environment and great service
Jodi is awesome.. great staff.. great ambiance..
Ventilation was poor and the service was slow, but overall a good place to hang out.
Excellent environment and expert bartender a real treat
Great place to sit and have a cigar.
Nice old fashioned cigar lounge, great service.
Staff is always 6 stars, food and drinks very tasty, just a little over priced
Very kind and attentive staff, alright old fashion, good selection of cigars.
Great atmosphere and service.
Decent Scotch selection, but heavy on Glenlivet and Balvenie. Cigars are over double price anywhere else, e.g. $30 for a Patel 92.
Best place in town to smoke a cigar!
