Delicious sandwich and house chai but the wait just to order is insane every time. The last time we visited there were about 10 people in line and it took 45 minutes to an hour just to ORDER. That’s about five minutes per customer, what could be going on at the till where you need five minutes to talk to each person? Once we ordered it was quick getting our food and drinks but man I’ve never had to stand and wait in such a short line for so long. They need to get a second til or a person who is faster working the register because knowing the wait just to order is so long is enough to make us not come back
I love this place! I always sit outside and grab a coffee here after my morning walks with my dog! All of the customers are always so friendly which makes sense because the staff here have always been so so so nice!! Must be a Minnesota thing!
This is one of my fave spots to get breakfast or lunch in Denver. The food and drinks are consistently amazing and the staff there is killer. I want to give them an extra shoutout, because it seems every time I’m there they are consistently understaffed, extremely busy and also running out of supplies. &@ they still have a great attitude and crush the food.Y’all rule.
We went to grab some quick breakfast to go after peak morning hours before heading out for the day. There was one party of 3 ahead of us in line and 3-4 individuals who’d already been served. We ordered two coffees and two yogurts to go. After waiting 45 minutes for our yogurt and being told twice that they were “working on it,” we left without $15 worth of yogurt and got food immediately at the café across the street.1 star for the coffee, which was fine. The place across the street had better.
I went there today and loved it!Me and my friend ordered the Fig & French Brie Grilled Cheese Panini and I can tell that it is one of the best sandwiches I ever had! Ill come back for sure soon!
Wonderful place to stop for breakfast while in Denver. Its diner-style in that you will order at the counter and be given a number to take back to your table, and afterwards you must bus yourself (i.e., clean up your own mess). The interior of the building is pet-friendly as well, considering you need to take them inside to order.
Breakfast burrito with chorizo and smothered in green chili was delicious and just the right amount if food. They also had a good IPA on draft. I plan to go back.
Excellent coffee, delicious food, a shady patio with a beautiful garden and friendly people. I had the best iced soy latte I’ve ever had and the vegan tacos with green chili were a wonderful surprise.
Highlands Cork & Coffee is by far the best place to eat for brunch in Colorado. Came to visit for the first time and we happened to drive by and got down. The atmosphere was amazing. Staff Ang&Lizzie were so friendly, down to earth and polite. We were given suggestions. The best for last was the food everything we ordered came out fresh and delicious. If you see this place you must stop!!
The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. The outdoor seating is great for bringing your pup.
This is one of my favorite places in Denver, the staff are so kind and treat you like family. And the food is delicious!
Highlands Cork and Coffee is a really great place for breakfast! Before I even stopped there, I called today and asked about their bagel choices and vegan cream cheese options since I cant eat dairy. The person who helped me was very nice and polite and offered to start my order before I walked over there which was great! The bagel was delicious. I had the oatmeal last week as well and would recommend either of those things! Overall, I would highly recommend and would come back.
Cute place to spend an afternoon with your dog. Plenty of space on the patio and the coffee is pretty good!
Lovely place, very friendly people. Extremely enjoyable
Wonderful outside seating. Our sandwiches were amazing and the drinks and service were nice as well. Great little date spot
I would give Highland Cork and Coffee a 5 out of 5 for atmosphere and friendliness. The prices are also good for Denver. That being said our breakfast was a let down. The breakfast tacos I had consisted of a little bit of bacon and weird hard boiled eggs. I don’t recommend hard boiled eggs in breakfast tacos. The food was below average and took a super long time. That being said I would come back and have a drink or a coffee since it has a great patio and friendly staff.
Awesome place!!! In an old house, my favorite type of coffee shop!! Food menu looks great, tho I came just for coffee, personality and atmosphere is just perfect!!! Would I HIGHLY recommend this shop! Oh and if you like Lavzza coffee, they’ve got it!!
I cannot say enough good things about Highland Cork and Coffee. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My favorite item on the menu until recently was the breakfast tacos with sausage, however now they offer a bagel with cream cheese, tomato pesto, spinach and tomato that is phenomenal!
The best! And the owners are the sweetest.
First time here I ordered Kitos breakfast panini....oh...my...god...HANDS DOWN AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Such a cute and peaceful ambiance, I will definitely comeback here again!
I Always find something delicious here and the outdoor patio is perfect to enjoy the sunshine with your pup! The staff is always friendly and nice too. Ordered the vegetarian breakfast burrito ahead oftime and picked up to eat on the patio, it was delicious !
Great spot to sit on the patio enjoying that denver sunshine. They have many vegan and gluten free options. I love stoping by with my dog on a Sunday morning to grab a coffee and some breakfast.
Favorite coffee spot in Denver. Very homey feel, employees are kind and efficient. The food and drinks are top notch. Highly recommend!!
Amazing food and drinks, well priced
Awesome service and really good food.
Cool as heck, just got to Denver and coming here was a great introduction
Do not order online. Theyre not up and running for online ordering. Great breakfast though, and nice staff!
Friendly folks, good coffee.
I go to Elixir Aesthetics med spa down the road and I come to the Cork for their Hectors panini every time I make an appointment down the street. Best sand which ever.
Super delicious vegan sandwiches! lots of outdoor seating
Great coffee and matcha! Great staff, great spot!
Food and service were good. Not the best breakfast burritos in town, but satisfying nevertheless. Ordering ahead will hopefully get easier once they have Grubhub & Seamless up an running. For now, the experience of calling numerous times without anyone picking up isnt the best. Lastly, the use of styrofoam and plastic bags was disappointing, but thats perhaps my own personal preference. Im all for supporting a small business and would be happy to pay an optional fee for compostable containers, silverware, and bags. Maybe management can have a chat with their neighbors (FOTM) to get a few pointers on sustainability.
Just found this place looking for breakfast. Such a great atmosphere. The food was very delicious. Mimosas were made incredibly and very tasty! And people bring their amazing dogs to the patio and it was all great 💙
My food was sitting on the counter for a while after it was ready and no one told me. food was just okay.
Great patio for my son to run around. They also have chalk so he just loved that! Nice and open too. Very friendly.
The kiko breakfast sandwich is amazing and so is the staff
Coffee and food were delish, internet is terrible. Feeling disappointed because this should be advertised. Its not cool to say the place has wifi, drive 20 mins to get here, pay $15 so I can feel comfortable spending time working, only to have ONE wifi bar.
Loved it. Great coffee and food. Dog friendly!
COVID Warning. This placed is not following the recommendations from CDC. A lot of people gathering and NOBODY is cleaning the tables and sanitizing them between guests.I saw people sneezing and then more people came for the same table not knowing it was dirty.
Always love coming here! They have a great setting with a repurposed house and a large, beautiful patio usually full of good people and good dogs. The staff is very friendly. They have good coffee and the best breakfast sandwich Ive had in Denver. Cheers.
I have been to this place many times. Its five stars alright. Great spot to bring a girl. They have a variety of food and coffee and its ALL GOOD. The ambiance could not be more Denver chic, with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Girls find it to be SO cute! My favorite thing to do is eat the caprese panini, while the girl Im with drinks coffee, and watches the pestoey mozzarella ooze out the perfectly hot and steamy toasted focaccia. I moan sensually, and the date is ruined because of sandwich.
Love love love this place! Their menu is amazing, the food is just lovely. Id recommend their frozen chai; as well as their fig and brie gilled cheese!
Such a cute little place. We came here during Highlands Halloween event and sat in their patio and people watched. Coffee was great. The scones were wonderful!!! Nice staff.
Friendly service, quirky little cafe. Spinach & green chili quiche and iced Americano was delish.
This place is great. The breakfast tacos were there perfect amount of food and taste great. Plenty of hot sauce options for those who are down. Good coffee and other such things. Highly recommended.
The staff were very helpful and kind when I needed to use their phone for a personal reason. They even let me use one of their personal phones so I could use the internet to look up a phone number. Thank you so so much!
Cool spot, have gone a few times for ice coffee and a business meeting. At over $4 for cold brew its more expensive than competitors in the neighborhood and I was reminded each time of their $5 minimum for credit or debit. Understandable charging cards costs money but no other coffee shop in the area has that policy that I have seen. Its 2018, people dont carry cash.
Great place to go if you have time and want to relax. The coffee is good and the atmosphere is pleasant. You do have to have an order of at least $5 to pay with card but thats not really a big deal. The staff is gracious and fun to talk to, so long as its not too busy. Overall its a good local coffee/wine house.
Owners are great. A fun place to be.
I love the atmosphere and the food is delicious. The owner is a vegan so there are a lot of vegan foods you can eat, you just have to tell them to substitute the meat for a protein. Fantastic place!
I went here with the pup for some coffee and breakfast burritos. They lady who was working behind the counter was so good at her job!! She was doing EVERYTHING including delivering my burrito outside to me, and bringing dog treats for my dog.
I was there in the afternoon, the old house is quaint but a bit of a sweat box on a hot Autumn day. Lots of character and the staff was very friendly. Prices are a bit on the high side but i suppose not outrageous when consider the neighborhood. The patio area is cool and shady.
My cousins shop best place on that side of 20th to get a coffee with a shot of whiskey in it yeah
Super cozy, great spot to work, free water and refills, good wifi. Again, great place to chill, work, or study. Set in an old converted house.
Best chai! I love the quirky old house and the lovely staff. Great place to hang out and get some work done (yay for free WiFi!). They also have a huge patio for when the weather is nice.
Its weird that there was only one person working in a place with high volume and a lot more time-consuming options on the menu than drip coffee. It makes the wait pretty long, just to order. Its also a bummer to get charged $1 for a refill of tiny drip coffee. I feel like they should get with the times of free refills (or at least a bit less expensive!). And you have to have cash to get a refill. Theres a lot of good about this place, though. Its very quiet if you need to get work done.
Quirky, colorful, eclectic, out of character, all of the other reviews got it right. As distant as it gets from Starbucks of the world, yet still not finding that identity to establish itself as something unique. As you walk in, the feeling of coziness overwhelms you. Its like a messy grandparents home, with the nicest staff greeting you at the counter filled with selection of pastry. Service can be slow as they are understaffed for that large of a place (huge patio). Id give it 5 stars for a coffee shop experience, but since they also try to serve mediocre brunch and limited selection of booze you leave with mixed feelings.
Came here to eat breakfast because it looked like a nice place. Upon ordering I noticed only one cook with a mountain full of dishes. We ordered 2 burritos both arrived 10 minutes apart. The tortilla on the burritos were so soggy it’s obvious they had been made days prior but was attempted to be covered up with green chili and microwaved. Definitely would only stop there to have a coffee and to read a book.
The gas station nearby presumably has a stronger cup of coffee flavored warm water. And much faster.
Friendliest spot in the highlands! They always make time to make you feel welcome and feed treats to your dog :) Sandwiches and baked goods are dangerously good and can’t beat free refill on coffee.
Colorfully decorated old house converted to a cafe. The food has great flavors and they serve wine! Outdoor patio with regular live music. I really like this place. Its been a staple in the neighborhood for at least the 8 years Ive been going there.
Cute spot. Good food. Was a little slow but maybe I need to just slow down more. Thanks for the reminder.
Great spot for breakfast, but make sure that they dont forget your order during the busy moments :)
This place has so much potential!!! But it does fall kinda short. Atmosphere is nice and casual. Patio is great. Food is okay but not great. Coffee wasnt great. Staff was quick and attentive.
I came to Highlands Cork and Coffee and enjoyed my time here. Contrary to what the other reviews say, I found the staff friendly. The omelette was delicious. I dont drink coffee often so cant comment on the quality of the coffee. Ill be back.
Ive heard good things about this place and was excited to try it. I think I came in on an off day. My order took forever and the food was just ok. I got the breakfast tacos, they have potential. The patio is really nice so thats a plus!
Great coffee shop with an eclectic feel. Huge dog friendly patio. I enjoyed the hummus and artichoke dip. Definitely coming back!
Such a cute place. First time there this morning and I will DEFINITELY be back. They had my Togo order ready quickly and the ladies there this morning were warm and welcoming.
This coffee shop/ eatery has everything! You can visit for a cozy cup of coffee in the winter or relax on the porch with a mimosa in the summer. Love the service here and the area.
Super cute coffee shop in a converted house. Have not tried the food yet, but coffee is good.Update: Ive had a few breakfast burritos, and they are pretty good. The outdoor ambiance is what makes this place special.
I have been coming to Cork & Coffee for about ten years or so. Everything about this place is wonderful. The people, the building, the interior, the patios. When I think of what makes Denver...Denver, I think of places like this. In addition to Lavazza (best coffee), these guys have a modest, but respectable selection of wines, beers, and cocktails (and even sangria). To top it all off, their food (pastries, tapas) is a real treat, too. This place is a gem and I cant recommend it highly enough.
This place is so homey (it’s literally in a house), and the owners are so lovely. I love coming here on a snowy day and enjoying a coffee and a bite to eat!
Great coffee (huge mugs), very pleasant service and extremely comfy vibe! Love it. Wish they were closer to my house. :)
Amazing spot. Great people. Food always makes the place smell great. Awesome outdoor patio.
This place is charming as hell. Its a coffee and killer panini shop built into an old house in the Highlands. Porch, wine... great quiet brunch date spot.
Friendliest staff on the planet, so much so that they will chat forever rather than get their orders up and out.
Your experience is going to heavily depend on which employee you deal with. If your looking for something a different laid back unique this is the spot. They offer personal service and a quiet wifi environment. If you need to grab your drink and go this may not be the place. We have only been once.
I love coming here for one-on-one business meetings or just to get work done! They have a great patio and a wonderful selection of coffee and food. I typically go for the spicy chai, which is frothy and delicious!
Casual coffee shop, perfect patio to hang out on, they serve wine as well. Had brie and figs panini.
I go here all the time for breakfast on the weekends. They have awesome breakfast sandwiches and good coffee. Cool patio to sit on and dog friendly. Service can be a little slow sometimes when it gets busy and I think they microwave their eggs instead of stove-top cook them(?), but overall a great place to eat & hangout.
This is a really cool coffee shop also serves wine. Dog friendly and the food is delicious. Totally unique
Super funky wine and coffee bar with great breakfasts. Lots of comfy little rooms to sit and sup your favourite beverages. Nice patio. Good coffee.
I have been here twice and both times very disappointed with the service. The two stars are for the food, which is good. The first time I was here, I ordered a cappuccino and a panini sandwich. The sandwich took forever-- well over 20 minutes!! I think the guy who took my order completely forgot about it because he got slammed with several other orders right after mine. And then dropped a loud F bomb when he saw me sitting there with my coffee finished still waiting on the sandwich. The second time I went there, I ordered a sandwich and paid the bill. After they ran my card, I was then told that they were out of the main ingredient on my sandwich and did i want to order something else. I ordered a cheaper sandwich. When I asked, are you going to refund my card and re-run the new charge? the server said, I guess, if you want. as if I was putting her out. I give it two stars because the food is good. But I wont be going back because the service is pretty bad and the prices are high.
Intimate atmosphere of an old house converted into a restaurant.
If you live in LoHi or Highlands this is for sure a go to spot to grab a cafe or double espresso. Their breakfast burritos are pretty bomb as well. They have a great patio for dogs and serve alcoholic drinks all day. Highly reccomend this establishment to any passer by looking to make new connections, surf the web, read a good novel or eat a good bite.
The food is amazing, and the women working there are even more amazing. 10/10!
Food was pretty good, albeit the prices were a little high for my taste. The quick serving makes up for that, though.
This is my staple. Since the inception I have seen how hard Shawn works to make this a community gathering place. Love the staff, the vibes, the food and coffee are great and they have beer, wine and spirits too!
Fantastic service and delicious food! The most importantly, a wide range of food with many dietary options!
I love the cork. They greet everyone warmly. They know the regulars by name. They know my dog by name. They are one of the only restaurants on 32nd that have more than 9ne water bowl for your dogs. They make sure they are always full with clean water. They staff is very nice and sweet.
No longer my hiden gem. Its becoming more popular but still only one person behind the counter. My friend here for the first time who is a huge coffee lover and could not even finish her coffee. I went there to enjoy a beer on the patio but they only have Stella and Coors now so I passed on the whole entire ordeal.
Very quaint and playful coffee shop. Perfect for working or meeting a friend or date!
Weird building. Lots of little rooms. Feels like a library in that it seems wrong to talk loudly...or at all. When the sun is out and it is warm, it has a great outdoor patio.
Great, large patio to sit for morning coffee or evening drinks! Love the paninis. Music on certain evenings and always busy. Dogs are allowed on patio too. Great local spot.
Great atmosphere but not the best food. The staff is friendly as can be but every time Ive visited the service has been slow. I always make sure Im not in a hurry when I come here. The comfy vibe keeps me coming back though.
