Girlfriend and I were craving some fancy shakes..did a quick Google search and 35 minutes away was MyKings, well we didnt have anything else to do on a Sunday afternoon...and my girlfriend pointed out that they had a golden Oreo (!!!) shake. We hopped in the car and from the moment that we walked in all three of the ladies working greeted us very warmly. They asked if we had been in there before and explained all of the consistent flavors that they had (6 on the left) as well as rotating flavors (6 on the right) they then told us that the full menu was behind us and to please ask any questions if we had any and theyre happy to give out samples. They asked what kind of flavors we like and what were craving. I came here for the golden Oreo shake, so my girlfriend thought for a moment and decided on the Wash Park Hot Chocolate Shake. While we were checking out the decor, our shakes were served up. One of the lovely ladies asked if we liked cereal, my girlfriend said that yes, her favorites were fruit loops and fruity pebbles. The blue moon ice cream was those two exact flavor and she gave my girlfriend a sample which she loved. The shakes were very tasty (I finished mine within less than 10 minutes.) Quality of ice cream and those wonderful ladies that were even sweeter than the ice cream definitely deserve the 5 stars, despite being Colorado natives, we usually avoid Denver....might need to make the drive more often now that this shop is here! (The music in the store was also a plus!)
Absolutely loved visiting this sweet ice cream shop! Such friendly and inviting service, and I was so excited to try Super Man and Blue Moon ice cream! Both were a favorite of mine growing up and I haven’t seen them in quite some time. An amazing assortment of toppings and some fun retro candies and treats you could purchase, too! Highly recommend checking this place out and stopping in for a scoop!
The ladies that greeted us were super friendly! Highly recommend the Chocolate Banana Oreo ice cream. I’m not usually a fan of banana flavored stuff, but the banana definitely adds to it in a positive way! They mentioned their differentiator is the wide variety of options and toppings(which they do have) but I think it’s actually the service and their welcoming personalities. Also, it’s always great to support a local, black owned business.
This is where you come when you want some really good ice cream in Denver. The owner LeDay had out of this world customer service. The ice cream is locally made, and is so creamy. I got the Caramel Brownie Fudge Swirl Shake and it was beyond amazing. The chocolate in this shake was rich, all the ingredients combined made the shake to die for. LeDay also is interested in giving back to the community and teaching the youth business and life skills early on, and allows them to add these programs to their resume. Not only is the ice cream delicious and the service is amazing, but their purpose of giving back to the youth elevates them way above the competition. Will definitely be back!
I have come to this shop a couple times now and it has been delicious every time. The Golden Oreo ice cream and the Superman ice cream are my favorite. Not to mention, the staff and especially the owner are so friendly and welcoming. Definitely do yourself a favor and check this spot out.
We went after a hard day of working from home and this place made us happy with their treats and customer service. We had the pistachio ice cream which reminded me of Thriftys ice cream in California when i was growing up but better. Mykings version had way more pistachios and it was creamier. We also got the banana bread pudding which is not an ice cream. That was so good also. What a fun cool place cant wait ot come back again and again
Whats not to love? Good ice cream, LOADS of toppings....and, adorable kids behind the counter learning to work early. The whole vibe of the interior is HAPPINESS and welcomes you completely. Prices are very good and I will definitely be back.Black/woman owned, LGBTQ+ friendly, go check them out!

I have a small obsession with ice cream and have had this place on my list of places to check out for a while now. I’m so glad I finally made it happen!! The ice cream here is super tasty and the atmosphere was really fun. They generously gave me samples of pretty much every flavor and I loved them all. There are a ton of combo choices between ice cream flavors, build your own shakes, floats, snow cones, and more. There’s literally something for everyone and the gals working there were so much fun! I will definitely be back!!
Excellent, creamy ice cream and great customer service! We had Superman and huckleberry ice cream with cotton candy, marshmallow sauce, and captain crunch, as well as dairy free salted caramel with a coffee chocolate chip flavor. Very impressed with how creamy the dairy free salted caramel was! It was all delicious!
Found this place on Google looking for something sweet after lunch. Its a cute little shop, brightly decorated. The proprieter is a very nice lady, very chatty. She encouraged us towork on a puzzle while she made our shakes. I got the Banana pudding shake, which was very smooth and tasted just like Banana pudding. My SO got the Jolly Rancher shake, basically a vanilla shake with candy pieces in it. A bit too tart for me, but she loved it.

I’ve just seen the story about this ice cream shop on the news. I give 5 stars for the leadership and involvement with these children. This is incredible what you kids are doing! I love ice cream and can’t wait to have a full belly with your cups filled with delicious joy. This is place has amazing ice cream! We were looking for a close place to the museum, and found this place. Required a u-turn, but totally worth it! Great customer service, great toppings, great flavor selections. Highly recommend the salted caramel Oreo!

Place was delicious! The two women who were working were incredibly kind and helped us try just about every flavor. Ended up getting the coffee flavor which was fantastic. My sisters loved it too and said the pistachio and the snow cones were great too. Will definitely be going back and recommending to friends!

We started off with just a double scoop waffle cone. But being that were not from here I had to have the Banana Pudding Shake . OMG so happy I did.

We stopped here after the zoo today, and loved it! The joy and energy walking in is incredible, the ice cream is tasty and most of all, she took the time to let my kids pick out all the sprinkles they wanted! This might be out after zoo tradition now!

Great little neighborhood ice cream shop! The staff is very friendly and energetic...and the ice cream is DE-Licious! We had several flavors - golden Oreo, rocky road, pistachio, superman, reeses pb cup and the strawberry shortcake (no ice cream in this but super tasty). And I found Pop Rocks! Lemonheads! ChickOStic! Definitely will be back for more tasty treats.
Excellent customer service and ice cream. I’ve been here twice, and loved it both times. I have driven by this location countless times without noticing it. I am so glad I finally went in and tried the ice cream, and then went back for more another day! The owner and employees are very cheerful, friendly, helpful, and creative.... everything you’d want from an ice cream store, and more. Try the pop tart ice cream sandwich!!

What a great ice cream shop! We called her at 7:55pm and she stayed open for us! It was amazing ice cream and a great conversation with Leday, the owner. Two days from her due date and she had a smile on her face and served up some yummy ice cream.

If my partner and I could give this place 10 stars we would! We’ve been wanting to stop in for a while and finally got the chance today. The ice cream was amazing, the staff was incredible, and we got to try most of the flavors before choosing! Had the best Reese’s peanut butter cup milk shake ever. There was also a young woman selling anti-anxiety kits she made out of love and support for her friends. Talk about community oriented people. So impressed and will definitely be back!

Definitely one of the greatest places my husband and I have ever been! It’s hard to find places that don’t get weird on interracial couples. We were greeted at the front door for starters. The Girls were really patient with us as we didn’t know what we wanted and they explained everything thoroughly and slowly they even told us all the ice cream flavors. The girls also kept a conversation while we were getting our ice cream about the things that were in style and my nails and surrounding ice cream shops. They’re Friendliness and cleanliness were phenomenal and don’t forget the ice cream tasted fantastic! Definitely will be returning for sweet treats!

I went to MyKing’s ice cream last weekend. The customer service is out of this world. These are the nicest, most welcoming people I’ve encountered in a while. We ordered the Superman ice cream (delicious !) the rainbow sherbet ( best sherbet I’ve had) and a tigers blood snow cone. Everything was delicious ! The shop is very clean and they all wore masks and gloves . I will definitely be supporting this black owned business again in the very near future !!!
