We drove by and noticed the shop and decided on some ice cream as a treat. What a treat it was! All flavors are handmade and they have a vegan option. The staff is very friendly and said they are working on improving their signage.

WOW. Real ice cream! There are two types of ice cream makers in the world. those who load it with sugar (cheap) and those who load it with fat. These folks have a perfect, not too sweet ice creams with wonderful flavors and beautiful smiles. Did I mention the HAND MADE TEFF CONES. New fave.

Decent ice cream, but doesn’t have the creaminess level I prefer. I’m generally a fan of super or ultra premium ice cream & this particular creamery didn’t seem to have a texture or creaminess that matched that.If you prefer a gelato style or bull bell style of ice cream (this place is MUCH better than blue bell), then you’d probably like this place more than I did & rate it much higher.

Literally the best vegan ice cream we’ve had in Denver! I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars, it’s truly very good. The cone was perfectly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg and the Oreo ice cream was amazing. My husband got an Oreo ice cream shake which isn’t pictured because we ate it too quickly, it was just too good. And the lady who helped us was one of the nicest people. Go support them!

Nice they were open so late on a Sunday, staff was friendly when they eventually came from the back room. Selection was smaller than expected, but had some interesting flavors like key lime pie.

We went to Walia today for the first time. Like most of the other reviewers, I highly doubt that it will be our last. The ice cream was delicious and the lady that helped us was super nice. Everything about our visit from start to finish was great. Between the three of us, we had chocolate, strawberry, reeces and oreo ice cream. She even put the toppings on both the bottom and top of the cups so that there were toppings in every bite. Cant wait to go back!

The vegan options are diverse. Matcha Vegan was recommended to me and I loved it. The kiddo got vanilla, strawberry and mint chocolate chip. Loved all the flavors, but the strawberry was ok.There are so many options and we will definitely be coming back for more.

Unique, delicious ice cream flavors. I always go for the vegan ice cream varieties. Im always satisfied even with the suggested flavors. The cones are made and they taste like Biscotti cookies. Cows milk ice cream also available. Lol. They have other treats and a little lunch menu as well. This is a small, black-owned family shop.

Best vegan smoothie ever! I choose the flavors vegan chai, coffee, and matcha with coconut milk. Plus the person, Chweet (not sure if I spelled her name correctly) is super sweet, helpful, and adorable. She made my experience worthwhile.Con - They used the brand Silk coconut milk which isnt nor my favorite. Hopefully, they switch to a healthier option.

After reading the great reviews, I knew that I had to visit Walia. Honestly, I was drawn in by the combination of Ethiopian food and vegan ice cream.The Ethiopian food was honestly better than Ive had at many restaurants in Denver; it isnt has good flavor from the spice blends and its not salty or greasy. Even though its pre-made and something you reheat, Ill go back for the Ethiopian food alone.Then, theres the vegan ice cream! They have many interesting flavors like lavender, Earl Grey, chai, and coffee; its not gimmicky flavors with gummy bears or Lucky Charms cereal or other goofy things. The ice cream is smooth, creamy, and not cloyingly sweet. I even took home a pint of vegan Oreo ice cream for my non-vegan parents who both loved it!Last, and most important, both of the women working there were the nicest people. Truly so happy to have tried out Walia Creamery!!! My favorite ice cream I’ve had in/near Denver. The owner was so kind and the ice cream was amazing! I’m not even vegan and all their vegan ice creams were just as delicious as their dairy ice creams; they also had a ton of flavor choices in both categories. I got chai, lavender, and earl grey.... what a dream!! They even have Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream right now. I definitely plan to come back to try their Ethiopian food and then have ice cream for dessert!

A friend tipped us off to Walia Creamery. I ended up with the vegan Oreo and my partner tried the butter pecan. Both were delicious, but the most special part of our trip was the homemade waffle cones. Hands down the best waffle cone either of us have ever had! Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside with cinnamon flavor throughout! Yum!

I cant believe we just found this place! The food was all premade and we just heated it up at home. Some of the best Ethiopian Ive had, and weve tried everywhere. The spice was great, not greasy at all, the quiche was super yummy, too. And of course the ice cream was awesome. Friendly staff, too. Lets keep this place going!

Our first time here and we will definitely return! I love that they have SO many different vegan flavors. They have 12 flavors, some cream based and some fruit based. Some of the vegan ice cream flavors are oreo, spiced apple, lavender, mint chip, mango ginger, strawberry, and peach. They also have regular ice cream. Small and large size, and also waffle cones. We cant wait to come back to try more flavors. I had the vegan lavender and mango ginger. Love love!

If you are vegan, this ice cream spot is a must! I have never seen so many vegan ice cream flavors before. It took me about 10 minutes to decide which one I wanted because they all tasted SO good. I also got the injera dinner to go and WOW. That meal was absolutely delicious and I have enough for a second meal tomorrow!
