Good please of material help my all the time for my company handyman services

We’re landscaping our backyard & had driven around a good part of the morning to find an open place on Labor Day weekend. They have competitive prices with other places & the operator handling material was AMAZING! We knew exactly what we needed & how much, he communicated with us through out the process & everyone made our purchasing experience simple & fast. Will definitely be returning & referring our new build community neighbors!

I am not sure if Everett understands how social media works. Its not the ability to thank complimentary reviewers that creates a good history, rather it takes a level of care in responding to an unhappy customer. Anyone that describes a customer as high maintenance openly in response to a complaint does not deserve to be in business.All it would have taken was a humble apology over the phone and some desire to make the situation right. All you have to do is read the many other responses to legitimate complaints from customers to understand how this business treats unsatisfied customers.I will be submitting a complaint to the Denver BBB, citing his specific response to my complaint below.Earlier this evening---------------Last summer, my neighbor purchased retaining wall stone from Bedrock Landscape Supply. They seemed happy with the product and price. My 5 year old son and I visited the Denver location to scope out some rock for our yard a few weeks ago and the associate who helped us, Dave, was very pleasant and helpful.Upon confirming which stone we wanted and how many tons, I placed an order for 2.5 tons of stone to be delivered to our driveway which is a 20x20 concrete pad with a 10’ wide gate opening, albeit facing the ally. My wife coordinated the instructions with the delivery driver that I had also communicated to the office upon ordering: place all rock in the driveway. I was told that a Dodge Ram with a trailer attachment would be delivering the rock. After confirming for the driver where to place the rocks, my wife resumed her work meeting inside. She subsequently walked outside to see that the rock was barely delivered inside the driveway. The driver clearly made one attempt to position the trailer and haphazardly dumped the material with a good portion spilling into the alleyway.When I called Bedrock to express that I was unhappy with the delivery that I paid $85 for, the manager immediately struck a sarcastic tone with me by asking me if my complaint was “serious.” He then continued on to state that his drivers don’t have the time to perfectly position deliveries. When I asked if a phone call or other communication was made to me or my wife, when the driver could not accommodate our delivery request, without even asking his driver a question, he began to defend that communicating this to us was not his drivers responsibility.At no point did Everett approach the conversation with me from a customer service point of view. He proceeded to tell me that his driver did nothing wrong, without requesting to see the pictures I told him my wife took, without offering to correct the situation in any way, and by threatening me with a construction lien on my property if I disputed the $85 delivery charge with my credit card. Having spent 13+ years in the mortgage business, it costs way more than $85 in time and fees to record any lien against someone’s property. Also, how much of a jerk do you have to be to escalate to that level in response to a customer justly being upset at paying $85 to have 2.5 tons of rock delivered mostly to the ally and not a driveway.Needless to say, I will not be doing any future business with this company and I strongly urge others to be wary of this business. This incident will also be documented with the BBB of Denver.

The true colors of this company is disturbing. My husband’s parked truck was hit by one of Everette’s employees and now they are denying any wrong doing. Instead of owning up to it, they are denying everything. We are moving forward with a claim which isn’t the way we were hoping this was going to be handled. The owner scoffed at the estimate as if we were trying to rob him. News flash: prices of labor and parts nationwide has gone up significantly! If you don’t want to pay to fix your employee’s poor driving, then get better employees.What makes us sick is that my husband has been a client for over 5 years.Sadly and regretfully this has caused us to reconsider giving them our business.I urge everyone else that if you can find a different company for your landscaping needs, please do. Let’s support business that actually represent honesty and integrity.

Good prices, reasonably helpful staff, always busy. Product comes and goes quickly, so not everything is always there. That might just be the times though. Overall, Id definitely recommend this place.

Bought quite a lot of soil (growers choice) and everything I planted in it died! It was quite a disappointement since I had spent the time to start all my veggies/flowers indoors to harden them. The issue with the soil is poor drainage. Youre basically buying sand. I guess end of the day, I shouldve went in and looked at the soil before purchasing but I guess I was slightly misguided by pictures/description.

Unacceptable sod quality. I purchased 50+ rolls of sod from this location approximately 3 weeks ago. All sod in picture seen in their photos section was laid in identical manner on same day. As you can see I purchased a bunk batch of sod. It appears this sod was sitting far too long to be used... I believe it will survive. But my entire yard should look like the dark green you see in that photo. want my money back.

Very friendly and helpful location. We ordered from here in the past and I couldnt remember the name of they type of rock we ordered previously. They happily pulled up the info for me and told me exactly what I had. They scheduled delivery for next day. Both times the drivers have called and communicated on site perfectly. The driver even offered a suggestion on where to dump it to make the work easier. I highly recommend this location.Great selection and very reasonable pricing.

I purchased 1.3 cubic yards of amended topsoil for a planter box: great that they would sell me less than a whole yard and the service was good, the chap working on the Sunday is a bit of a legend.However, the amended soil feels like it is about 70% sand, water skims across the surface like the best impermeable substances so no water gets to the roots, as a consequence everything in my planter box is dead.By chance I spoke with a friend this weekend who shared an identical experience and said she needed to further amend the soil with a large amount of compost and blood meal.If anyone needs half a cube of sandy dirt, hit me up as Ill need to find a home for it when I go to mix it all.

Amazing customer service. Got us in for a last minute delivery the week of Christmas for a better price than anyone I called (4 other companies) . Wonderful. Will be using Bedrock from now on.

Great experience. Called a head to see if the materials we were looking for were in stock. The person who answered the phone was very customer focused and patiently answered the questions we had about material cost, purchasing options and picking up materials. On arrival we were served quickly, by another staff member who was also very customer focused. Check out was efficient. Great friendly service with an emphasis on valuing customers.

I recently redid my ~600 sq ft yard, replacing grass with mulch and rock. I probably made 20 trips to Bedrock, combined between this location and Brighton.Everyone is very friendly and willing to help, even though I am sure as an individual my business is insignificant compared to the contractors. In general the process here is easy between weighing in or eyeballing quantities. The prices are also very fair - all in all, I know I saved hundreds by shopping here rather than local home improvement stores.The only super minor negative about this location is that it is hectic. Contractors are coming in and out at a rapid pace. The bulldozer drivers drive very very very fast almost to the point of aggression. I was parked still waiting for one and he backed out so fast while turning that he almost hit me which was pretty frightening. This all works out fine if you are super cautious, but I wish the location was more orderly. I highly recommend going to Brighton which is paved and much less busy.I also got two deliveries from Bedrock which turned out great for larger quantities of rock. My only minor complaint is that both times (once from Denver, the other from Brighton), they promised the driver would call before heading out on my delivery, and both times this did not happen. I can live without the courtesy call, but when its promised and not executed on its more disruptive - e.g. if I run out for a 15 minute errand, knowing that Bedrock will call before they arrive.All in all this is a great place to shop for your landscaping material and you wont be disappointed in the service.

Everett and his crew run a fantastic operation. Not only did they go above and beyond in helping us with our landscaping project, but every single person we dealt with was polite, helpful, and professional. Bedrock had the best stock of products of any yard we visited and as a bonus, they do carry some basic Aquascape products. Highly recommend this business.

We chose Bedrock over a different landscaping material company due to the price and Im really glad we did. We are re-doing our front yard and had a great experience with Bedrock. We first went and visited the shop to view the material which I highly recommend. We ordered our gravel and it was delivered a few days after. Bedrock was affordable and provided great service and were helpful on designing our residential project.

Dishonest I bought a shovel that was marked 19.95 they rang it up at 20.95. Also I have bought many loads of rock before and usually a large yard bucket weighs between .75 and.8 tons. Somehow a small scoop weighs exactly.9 tons. No tenths? Looks like a manual entry. ILLEGAL. Unfortunately I can only prove it by paying for 2 separate weighs at T/A.

Bedrock has the best staff! Very busy but always tries to help as soon as possible. Very fast delivery turnaround times and always works with you on this. Great selection on all materials as well. I appreciate them staying open during this very trying time, highly recommend!!

Ordering was very pleasant. They were responsive and delivery was fast. All seemed great - until they were two hours late to my delivery window and dumped 3 yards of mulch in the street in front of the wrong house. I not only had to get it out of a driving lane of a busy street but also move 3 yards of mulch by myself 3 times further than I should have. I wont be ordering from this place again and cant say I recommend it.Edit to add response to owner -- the second delivery was not delivered at 12:50. It was not delivered until nearly 3pm. And I did not tell him to put it right where our truck was - We dont even have a truck. There was no further discussion about the delivery, he didnt call or ring when he arrived for the drop off or we would have pointed him to the correct house. We asked for it to be put in front of the house, not in a driving lane in front of the wrong house on a busy street.

Everybody was so nice and helpful! Answered all of our questions and really seemed to know their stuff. Great place to go when youre an amateur having to do your own landscaping.

Highly recommend working with this company. The order process was simple and the associate that helped was super friendly. The delivery driver Justin was great. He called ahead of the delivery and was very efficient and friendly as well. Great company.

Great place to get landscaping materials

So this review has been on my to do list for some time now. Needed help from my grandson on how to do it. LOL I came in about 2 to 3 weeks ago with little to no landscaping knowledge and needed complete guidance my entire time at the store. One of the associates who helped me couldnt have been more helpful as I was completely blown away with his persistence to help me and answer all of my questions without rushing me and my husband. I was shocked at how busy your store was as it can be very intimidating for a small homeowner who doesnt really know what shes doing there or what shes looking for. However the associate Bobby made everything easy peasy. He broke everything down for me, made it easy to understand, and answered every one of my questions with such respect. I hope someone in management checks this because Sir or Maam you have a great associate in that young man. The staff up towards the front was awesome as well. as busy as I seen you guys were that afternoon, you guys definitely deserved this 5 star review. also thank you to the woman in tie dye at the desk who had patience with me while paying. Nothing to complain about from this customer. Thank you Bedrock.

Excellent service and materials!

Not a bad place

Very disappointed with our customer service interaction with this company. After my husband placed a large order for mulch this morning, I called back to better understand the different types of mulch based upon our needs to ensure we had ordered what was appropriate. My husband did not have this type of conversation when he ordered the mulch nor was it offered. I did review their website prior to calling, yet all they have are pictures hence my need for more information. The gentleman that answered the phone expressed that they were too busy to explain the types of mulch so I would need to look at the website (already did that and it just provides pictures) or come to the yard. I asked if someone would be available at the yard to answer my questions and he just hung up on me. I fully understand that theyre busy, but my questions as a customer with an order already placed and an intention to spend a large amount of money are very valid. Needless to say, I immediately called back and spoke with a female and canceled our mulch order. Disappointing experience for sure especially when our efforts were to support a locally owned business during COVID-19.

This place has a really good selection of decorative rock

These people are greatly priced and they know there stuff. I believe theyve been here for quite a while also, so local natives are nice to have in the area, but I cant be too certain. Compared to the other industrial business in the area, their humility is much appreciated. Its disappointing to be belittled when you come to a company not knowing exactly how things work, they dont make you feel this way.

Great customer service. I ordered the planters mix which I confirmed on the phone worked well in raised beds. To date, my vegetables plants are short, thin and lacking fruit. The mix is compacted (never walked on it, etc) and seems to lack any sort of nutrients. I am a bit committed at this point but would not order again. Will have to amend over the Fall.

This is a revised post. I originally wanted to rate the Denver location zero stars based on a very poor in-person customer service experience. With that said, my experience with the Brighton staff over the phone has been very good and my experience with one of the drivers has been good. I revised this post to extend grace to the young man that was hopefully just having a bad day.

Bedrock continues to serve me and my family for our landscape needs. The service is awesome, the selection is good and the prices very fair. The honesty and integrity that Everett the owner expects from his staff is amazing! He says its not a family business but it feels like one, he and his staff treat everyone with respect and do what they say they will do. Not so common anymore! Thanks Bedrock - you rock!

Called in an order on Friday. Called about a second order to add to the first order Monday morning, as the first delivery was to be Monday afternoon. I never agreed to any second order because they were out of the rock I wanted. They shipped me a rock that we discussed but not what I ordered on Friday. They say they cant re deliver until Tuesday morning at 9am. I call Tuesday morning to find out where my shipment is shortly after 9. Im then told I was put on the 10-12 window for delivery. Upon Bedrocks confirmation call they informed me that they had to charge me extra for delivery. When I stated that they were screwing us the manager stated Whatever man. They admitted to making a mistake and wont cover it and their flippant attitude is a major turn off. Will never do business with them again!!!

Save yourself some money and buy from these guys in bulk! Theyre super nice and I just need some rock for a small drainage project. I spent less than $10 and got more than enough rock. The same rock at a home improvement store would have been well over $30.

This company’s management does not operate with integrity or trustworthiness. They will do anything to not have to right a wrong doing on their end.

This place was fairly busy on a Sunday morning, but the staff there helped me find what I was looking for and get it loaded up quickly and have me on my way.

Definitely for a landscaping contractor, not DIY small projects. Not a large selection of bricks. More oriented towards materials like dirt, gravel etc.

Prices are ok, same as other places except pioneer which is always higher, but when asking questions about materials for my new build home, the guy in there started pushing his landscaping design on to me? I didnt ask for that. To be honest, it felt like a car dealership telling me to buy undercoating and warranty? The floor wad clean though...nice touch

Counter help was rude and surly. Driver loaded almost double the amount I requested and all 3employees were indifferent. Product, sand and gravel for concrete was considerably more expensive than others. Close locations has tempted me before to forget their Luke warm customer service. I hope to remember this time.

If you want topsoil DO NOT GO HERE, YOU GET CLAY. I was told that is how it comes from the pit!!! You pay the topsoil price on get clay. What a rip off, better to go to Pioneer.
