If I could give Joe Basil zero Stars I would! Jake was very rude and very upset I did not want to hand over $1800 to do my brakes and my ENTIRE muffler system. He told me I needed an oil change and I did not have one since January. I tried to tell him I just had it in the summer. He also told me that my brakes were dangerous and I should not be driving. I called my husband. He told me all he had to do in the car was push a button and it would tell him when my oil was changed. He told me he knows this. He told me they are just trying to rip me off. Also my husband checked my brakes when I got home. They were 25% good which means they were not dangerous to drive on and he will change them this week. I will take my car to our mechanic who I am certain will not charge me $1,800 and tell me I need an oil change that I already had! Shame on you Jake! You have a very distrustful demeanor! Please people if you need your car to be fixed, do not go to Basil Ford where you may have bought it. And dont buy a used car from them either because my car has been a big headache. They were dishonest and never told me I was turned down from my first loan, so they went with a higher creditor. I already had a prior offer I could have went through on karma credit at a much lower rate! Do not trust them! They are in it for the money ONLY!

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I left my work keys attached to my car keys and didnt notice until after the shuttle dropped me off and they quickly brought those over to me. Im super appreciative and would definitely recommend them!

I have been getting tire rotations, oil changes, and inspections for years. Great service! A few months ago, a lug from one of my wheels broke, and they helped with figuring out good affordable options. Today, I’m leaving a review because I got my rear brakes changed and the service rep (Cory I think) mentioned a caliper cleaning service they offer and I’m so happy with the suggestion. No squeaking anymore, and got it all done today.

Talk about snowball effect, came here for an oil change after the fact realized that my sensors for my tiers were knocked off not thinking anything of it I simply let it pass. Recently my check engine light came on thinking it was a bigger issue I had my car taken to go get looked at to find out my car had no oil in it…. Now my car randomly stops while I drive and ticks like a time bomb. When I called to explain the issue I received a simple… And?

I feel I was pressured into purchasing the vehicle. For some reason I had to close the the purchase date before October 1st. I also purchased the undercoating at the time and expected that the undercoating would had been done before delivery, however after I paid for the car, I was told that I would have to bring it back to have the under coating done. Also after paying and taking delivery of the vehicle we found that the drivers side front seat had a broken frame and the set could not be adjusted up or down. And a new one would have to be order. Even thought we did take delivery of the vehicle, I feel that it was not properly checkout.

Great choice of cars compared to any other dealer in the area. Unfortunately for me I needed a new car asap. My salesperson Steve Socha worked to make the entire process as stress free as possible. So far I am very happy with my new Equinox.

The sales manager, Ken was amazing at helping me find a used car for my budget. My sales person answered all my questions however the car was deliveries dirty!!The outside needed a wash and waxed. I had asked to make sure the interior would be detailed and honestly it wasn’t!!! The interior was dirty, especially with COVID it should have properly been cleaned even if we needed to wait for delivery!. I was told I could make an appointment to bring it back but this should have been complete prior to delivery!

UNHAPPY customerOur salesman, Matt, was fantastic, we would give him 5 stars, and most assured buy from him again.... BUT.....we purchased a 2021 Equinox, picked it up one week ago... today we experienced an issue with a tire.. took it to service department, expecting to have it replaced,,, being, as we said, having it only a week. they found a hole in the side of the tire and after taking off the tire found a partial nail inside the tire, and said they were not responsible, and would replace the tire, at a cost to us of $200.pluswe did have it in their collision shop on Monday for undercoating.. maybe it happened there, or maybe it was there when they took delivery and the NAIL dislodged after hitting a bump in the road or maybe we did run over a nail, ( with the side of our tire???) so what we got was...no charge for labor and a coupon for a car wash.You would expect a large, well established dealer, like Basil, would have better customer relations...either replace at no charge, or at the very least, offer to split the cost of the tire...I am willing to bet he made a nice profit on the vehicle we purchased.... AGAIN . I mention, ONE week earlier.so for the cost of a tire, Joe Basil Chevrolet has lost a customer....... AND word of mouth can be a very good thing, BUT can also be a very bad thing

We are very satisfied with our new Blazer. The experience of purchasing was a different case. Without going into details we were not informed of all the rabates and interest rate specifics and rules, causing an increase in the price of the bottom line cost. They omitted facts during the negotiation process. Then dropped the issue on us in the final meeting right before closing the deal. Kinda shady. That being said we are happy with the final product and will use the repair shop for now

Just bought a 2018 Ram from Basil. Was working with Mike Orsi in sales. He went above and beyond to make buying a present experience. Truck was ready to pickup as soon as they added some extras which was just a couple of days. I would recommend Basil for a vehicle and the same with Mike. Also they were vary fair with my trade in. Would not hesitate to go back there again when needed.

I went to Joe Basil to check out some vehicles I viewed online and I was extremely impressed with quality of the vehicles that I saw. I got exactly what I wanted and Tom M. was super helpful, easy to talk with and very knowledgeable about vehicles and the process. The next day I was in my new vehicle lickity split!

They damaged my car when they put it on the lift while performing a New York State Inspection. Then they didnt want to repair what they had damaged and I had to argue with them to get them to repair what THEY damaged while my car was in their possession. They did finally repair the damage in a satisfactory manner.The inspection work was acceptable.

Do not even think about buying from them, I bought a used car from them and it was a HUGE mistake. First the check engine light came on while I was test driving and the lied and said some air got in the tank when they filled it, but I later learned it was the thermostat. So when I went to get it fixed they tried to say it wasnt covered. Another huge issue is Ive had to call them 5+ times for them to get me my plates because they said they would deal with registration so I didnt have to. Ive been waiting almost 3 months for some plates that still havent came. Save yourself a bunch of time by going anywhere else. Edit: Of course you guys respond and dont address the fact that you lied and tried to scam me.

First, I was told that my car was not under warranty, but it was. I came home to read the contract and it clearly stated that it was in fact, covered by the warranty. That was just a minor annoyance and we worked through it. Im mostly mad that my car failed the NYS inspection. I received a phone call that it was failing because all four brakes were bad and the windshield wipers needed to be replaced. The estimate was just under $1000 before tax. The wipers were brand new and the car only has 30,000 miles on it. I denied the service and took it to my local, trusted mechanic and asked for an inspection. He called to say that the car would pass, but the rear rotors were getting bad. I asked about the front and he said they were perfectly fine and the pads had about 50% life left in them. I decided to have the rear pads and rotors replaced for $350.00.
