Ordered a small salad without onions, came with onions, this really annoys me for some reason, otherwise the food was pretty good and good sized portions. The waitress was very friendly and did an excellent job waiting on us. Service was fast and they had reasonable prices.
My wife and I flew in from Salt Lake City and this was our first experience with Buffalo and we were very pleased! The staff was really friendly! The food was very good and the price was reasonable.

Their fence blew down into our yard and they have not repaired it. It’s been over 4 months and everyone from Transit rd and their parking lot can see into our backyard and back of our house. The security and privacy of our property has been greatly affected. The owner has no respect for his property or his neighbors. We will never step foot into that restaurant again!

Long wait. 6pm. Lemonade was water with lemon. Pot roast was the special but the had no more potatoes. So we got Lasagna. Over nuked to super hot plates, edge of food were burned and crispy and inside wasnt even hot. Very disappointed for the money.
Ive been going to Hillview Restaurant since I was a kid. Theyre the first place I tried onion rings. Service is always very good and their menu is the appitome of comfort food.
Food was good but they didnt seem to want to give much time to review the menu despite one of the 2 of us being in the restroom. Always prefer waiting til the whole party is present to do so.

I used to love this place. I used to get breakfast all the time, and talk with owner.I started getting raw potatoes in my home fries, and some of the waitresses were more concerned with their news station on tv.
Food was ok, had 3 different servers, 2 of which were talking back & forth, loud enough that the whole restaurant could hear, because it was late afternoon during the week & not busy. The whole place could hear them complaining about a previous customer. My daughter had oral surgery a few days before, & I let the server know & requested extra napkins. We didnt get any napkins until we were pretty much done with our meal, nor did anyone ask if we needed anything or how our food was. The last server was at least pleasant, (other 2 were not), but told us she couldnt cash us out, because only one of them was allowed to use the register, because another employee had been stealing. Given the price increase everywhere, I do not recommend this place. For what Im paying to dine out, the food should be good, & the staff should be attentive. This will be why restaurants permanetly close.

Went on a Sunday evening... 6 of us, no wait, food was good, our server (Sara) was fabulous! The other dark-haired woman that we encountered when arriving, again when asking a quick question, and lastly when paying/leaving...well, she should really consider a new line of work OR take lessons from Sara! I get that people have a bad day or moment... But I recall this woman from the last time I was there and had the same experience. SARA gets 6 STARS🤩🤩🤩

The Ruben was chewy but tasty, and the sweet potato fries were worth the extra 3 bucks. Waitress was friendly and professional, and the bathroom had a layer of dust so thick, even the walls had not seen a cleaning since the restaurant opened. I felt dirtier after visiting and washing up than I felt entering.

I was appalled at the lack of coutesy and attention. Walked in and no staff spoke to us. There was one couple waiting ahead of us, I told my husband we should go and woman waiting said it wont be too long. A man was at register taking ng a payment. Other people began coming in and walking past us, it was 10 minutes when the man went to seat people who had come in after us and other couple. There were some servers walking around also but no one spoke. I left, any restaurant staff who treat people as a bother should not be in business!!!
Food was terrible! We ordered a nachos deluxe appetizer and expressly told our waitress we didnt want jalapenos on it. It comes out after twenty plus mins, the meat looked old and it was buried in some kind of cheese wiz with jalapenos on it. We sent it back, which we have never done, and she came back in a min and a half saying oh I ordered two of them. Heres the right one. Yeah all they did was scrape the jalapenos off and dump more cheese whiz on it. Our waitress was incredibly inattentive I only had one glass of soda and she didnt offer to refill it until we were done eating. Absolutely will never go back which sucks because Ive heard nothing but good things from others. 0 stars

Nice decent restaurant. The only thing I did not enjoy was how much bbq sauce they put on their chicken fingers. Hindsight, shouldve gotten it on the side. Another thing is their booth seats need to be replaced. Super lumpy, saggy. Waitresses are great though. Food was tasty.
No one to greet you at the door to start out. The lady I had was working with herself and another waitress. Service was so slow. Slot of waiting. Owner was in the house but didnt do much but walk around. Its a shame its been a lot ng time since I was in there too.

Maybe just a bad day at Hillview but I had the worst ham and cheese omelet ever. Ham was like all the ends cut up and hard. I actually had someone with me try to find any cheese at all. Very sparse. The waitress told me to mention it to the manager when I checked out as she grabbed up all the plates including mine with the omelet barely eaten but dissected trying to locate any cheese. The manager said thats how they do it because the ingredients are so expensive and she could do nothing about it. Wont be returning any time soon. The waitress was less than attentive. Had to get our own coffee refill.

Cozy diner vibe. Always has good food. Somehow we luck out and get the same waiter every time we go. He has such a good friendly personality. Always feel welcome when were there.

Its open 24 hours and the food and staff are excellent! I have eaten there only after work at about 1 am. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly even at 1 am. Havent eaten there in daylight but I am sure place is busy with customers. You can even get food to go-major bonus for that..that way I can take food to hotel room!
This place is dirty, the tables are sticky, and the food tastes old. I ordered the grilled steak salad. The steak was absolutely inedible. I ended up chewing and spitting it out into my napkin. The tomatoes had that slightly rotten flavor and the lettuce was brown underneath. Service was friendly, but I had to get up to get my own napkins and upon check out the hostess, Im assuming was the owners wife, was very rude. Ignored me while I stood waiting to check out as she talked to some of the regulars. I got a peek into the kitchen and felt nauseous all the way home. Just a dirty place. Yuck.
Decent food bad service
Very inconsistent food. Our order was usually messed up or missing something. Got a completely wrong order once. Called and complained and want even offered anything. Said I could drive it back and wait. I was six months pregnant and in crutches. It got so bad that I wouldnt even call and complain the last time.....we just stopped ordering. Decent food but for the price, it should be a correct order.
A place I stop by for brunch on occasion. If Im on business in the area I make it a point to come by. Most of the staff are very friendly (or at least curt and professional). The atmosphere is nice and well kept. The food is definitely the best part. Both lunch and breakfast options are very good. Their home fries are unique and very tasty.
Ordered best steak on menu. 12oz. $ 19.00 meal. Steak was very very tough. My wife tested it, said the same. Cant say it was cooking. Tough steak itself. Should have gotten money back. No time to order something else. Should have been right first time. Very unhappy customer !!
I belong to a widow/ widowers group that has met here 2 times a month. Any meeting can have 10 - 18 people who order food and beverages. The owner has asked us not to come back. We really dont understand why he doesnt want us at his place of business especially since there are not a lot of other customers there. We are a friendly group who just want a place to go for a nice evening out. We are polite to the staff, tip well and are not loud or obnoxious.What a shame that this establishment has no room to be a gathering place for a group of people who just want to enjoy a night out with friends. Instead of meeting us with a scowl on his face as we walk in, the owner should be smiling at the business we are bringing to his establishment. Shame on this business.

Went there to meet our son and grab a bite post-Xmas activities. No complaints about the food but more of the service...wouldnt hurt to say a good morning greeting, check on us to see how were doing, not hover frequently to see if we were done with our dishes and silverware while still in the process of eating our food, mopping the aisleway floor near us while still sitting in our booth, etc. Overall an off day for service, which equates to the last time I visit.
Normally LOVE this place as do my kids... So I took them there twice this past week. First time, they forgot our appetizer, and served it 10 minutes AFTER our main course. Figured they would at least take something off from the bill seeing my kids were too full to even touch at that point..Then then second time, we asked for a side of onion rings and they were way undercooked... Sad when you cant even cook onion rings!!Side note... VERY slow if you want a refill on drinks...neither time were we even asked, we had to flag them down... Even when we put our empty cups towards the edge of the table..... Neither nights were busy at the time of our visits...

Was pretty good. Friendly staff. I have actually been twice, the first time I didn’t eat the broccoli I ordered and our waitress told me I have to because I’m a growing boy and stared at me until I did. She was just joking but I found it very funny and enjoyed the server I had the second time I was there. The food is very good with good atmosphere. I recommend this diner if you want a quick sit down meal.

Came here for a family lunch today and it was great! The service was friendly, quick, and cordial to our needs. I tend to be indecisive and asked our waitress what would be recommended; she gave great feedback and what I thought sounded good and her sense of humor was appreciated! Our food came out in a timely manner and all of us enjoyed the main course and dessert! A few really enjoyed the corn beef hash! I will definitely be making a point to come back here next time Im in the area!!!
We were going to Bob Evans and it closed so drove farther down transit and stopped on a whim. Greeted by owner I believe at door, seated right away, brought coffee that they kept full for me entire time. Great service, food was fantastic, a good enjoyable breakfast with the wife. We were both very pleased with our service and food!

We went on the kids eat free night and my 10-year-old nephew was given an adult sized portion of his food - even after we said we would be ordering his meal from the kids eat free menu (the kids menu and regular menu have some of the same items, just different sizes).The waitress, Michelle was so condescending when we politely tried to justify why we should not have had to pay the full price for his meal because of their error. We werent even asking for it to be taken off, rather discounted to the kids menu rate - or honestly something.The food was good, but the service - mainly because of the server was so disgusting, any chance of me going back is gone. Reading some of these comments, they clearly dont value business.
We had a large group for Sunday breakfastand were accommodated without complaint. The service was great and no problem with separate or combined checks!The food was all very good, came out pretty quickly and was very good. The menu offered the expected breakfast choices as well as some nice surprises such as blintzes with fruit topping. Good pancakes also. Prices very reasonable.Would be glad to go back again.

We both had chicken souvlaki subs, they were excellent. The greek dressing is very tasty. I had rice pudding which was the best I have had in a long time. The waitress Tina was very excellent, offered refills on drinks without being asked. She was friendly and checked on us often.

Food is consistently on point, service was quick and made sure we had our orders quick. However I go out for breakfast often. With that in mind the food was good, but not great. The portions I also thought left one wanting.Id go back. But there are other options as well locally for a better breakfast.
Our family met at Hillview at 10am on Fathers Day to celebrate. We thought a reservation had been made the day before. It was obvious that the term reservation is meaningless at Hillview. The first person I spoke with did not even ask for my name. She muttered something about needing 12 tops to leave. The 2nd person looked and found our reservation but stated that It really doesnt matter were busy. Then the 1st person rudely ordered our children away from the waiting area. After that we decided it was time to leave. The 1st person asked for our name so that it could be erased from the list. No apologies just a self centered focus that was actually belligerence toward a customer. We left and had a wonderful breakfast at Olympic! We will not go back to Hillview.
We have gone here many times for breakfast and its usually good, but today everything was undercooked, my daughters scrambled eggs were so runny they were gross, the home.fries were hard and not at all browned, the toast was completely white, very disappointing. I couldnt send it back because the waitress never came to see how it was, and when she came to clear the table it was too late to wait for new plates. But worse was the fact that they made no offer to give me a new plate to go or take it off my bill or even send me home with a.dessert, nothing! Poor customer service today. Being busy shouldnt mean you get uncooked food!

Went there to eat after a late night arrival at the airport (1:30AM). My burger was quite good cooked the way I wanted it (medium). My wife ordered up a breakfast which was a major disappointment, ex. cold home fries. We would have been better off waiting in line at Dennys.
For a Greek restaurant I was rather disappointed with the chicken souvlaki. Two very small chicken strips, one Olive, a few crumbles of feta and a ton of lettuce. Waitress was new and she did a good job-very friendly.

Food was undercooked my husband got a burger and it was red on this inside. I hot chicken fingers they were very small size of chicken nuggets my son got a meatball sub tasted very old. The man working there was in the restroom came out never washed his hands husband watched this because he was in the restroom with my son. When we asked to speak with a manager a older man came over very nasty and was yelling at us very sad since my husband has been going there for years. We will never go back to this place and health inspector should pay them a vist

Called Friday for reservations for Fathers Day 10 am. We were told we were all set for 10 am.When we got there it was very crowded, we were toldreservations dont mean anything, we are very crowded. If you are of average intelligence you ask why do you take reservations then? There was an older waitress who was abusive toward the children who were standing in the lobby area, very nasty and telling them to move from the area they were standing in. We decided to leave at this point because she obviously couldnt handle large crowds. We lived nearby for many years but will never go back. This waitress needs a refresher course in customer service or she needs to retire.
