My favorite. I have to visit this store everytime Im in town. They are well stocked with everything I could possibly need or want. My favorite Oriental staples, snacks, foods, cookware, dinnerware, drinks, personal care, etc.

Bubble teas was amazing! Also they have some wonderful snacks.

Parking was a bit of a challenge, either find it on the street or go around to the back of the building which were not clearly marked for this business. Limited amount of produce at fair prices. No fruits. We found frozen jumbo size shrimp at a great price. Most items were not marked so we had to keep asking what the price of each item was. This is a smaller version of a typical asian market. The lady who serves as cashier was not very friendly.

Unique items and friendly owner

This is my favorite Asian market in the area. I can always find what Im looking for, particularly enoki mushrooms and miso for many Japanese dishes. Seasonal produce is also fun, you never know what you may find. The prices are much more reasonable than shopping for Asian grocery items online. The staff is very friendly and always remembers us when we stop in.

Great store. Rice of all different types. Fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs available. Ramen and cookies. Sauces and oils and spices and teas available. They also carry a large selection of Asian dishware. Cold drinks of American and Asian origin. Frozen fish and other ocean harvests.

Great selection of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean foods and bargain prices. The staff is helpful and friendly. Ill definitely be back.

If youre looking to step up your cooking game, this store can help! They have a big selection of stuff, and the prices are great! The staff is always super nice and always offer help and answer questions!I found some canned vegan meats here and tried one that was similar to chicken, I think its just gluten but it was tasty!

I was able to find of the Korean and Japanese food and sauces that I used to have back when I lived in Japan and previously in the DC area.

Not a large store but can satisfy almost all your needs with good prices. Just make sure to bring cash they only take cards if over $20

You may have walked by here many times, but this place has it all and right down in the East Village. Asian orientated obviously, but they have JackFruit!!! Which is a staple for a lot of vegetarians.I will duck in here from time to time to get various lunch items, best have a look and see what they have.

They have had everything we have been looking for in an Asian Market. The woman who presumably owns it is wonderful, kind and helpful.The products are all great and at a good price. It isnt just Americanized snacks or even just things that are popular here. Its a full store filled with new things to discover and cook.

Really fun and well organized. Went on a mission to get some essentials and when we were done she held our bags behind the register while we browsed the rest of the store. Five stars for great quality, value and customer service.

Love this store - so convenient plus, super delish Spring Rolls - four huge ones for $5 - cant beat that! Bought a gorgeous indoor/outdoor rug for under $36. Today, bought Spring Rolls, 1/2lb of jasmine tea, an infuser, and a package of yummy coconut cookies all for $13. Fresh herbs, dried spices, noodles, frozen foods - so much goodness here!

Went here because this is a UPS packaged drop off. The lady behind the counter was very nice, helpful, and knowledgable.

After 4 stops at traditional grocery stores near my home I came to this location in search of miso paste. I wandered the store and was impressed with the selection of products. After a few minutes I was asked if I needed help and they helped me locate the miso paste. I should have known, but the quality of the paste in our meal was better than anything we had purchased at a standard grocery store. I cant wait to bring my wife back with me again!

Dont expect this business to be open by their set hours! It seems as if they come and go as they please, been there twice in the last week to pick up a package from UPS and closed both times! I think UPS needs to find a different drop off location.

I love the New Oriental Food Store in the East Village, its where I buy all my specialty asian foods. The owners are very friendly and helpful, for instance, I wanted to make Thai Sticky Rice. I asked the owner if she knew what kind of rice I would need and how to make it. She showed me the right kind of rice, and told me exactly how to make it. It turned out great! Better than restaurant versions, even.They also have excellent fresh produce and their fresh basil is to die for. I buy a batch for $2 and it lasts us all week. The prices are also quite good, comperable to bigger asian markets here in town.
