We were on a very long road trip and our battery decided Des Moines was a great place to die. Your store was recommended by the nissan dealership up the road. A very nice employee not only offered up tools so we could change the battery out, but jumped in and helped get it done. Thank you so very much for helping getting us back on the road.

Theyre always very nice. This time however, they gave me the wrong light bulb for my tail light. Just annoying because he looked it up right in front of me.

Had a minor need to replace rear brake & turning signal lightbulbs. Fast & courteous. They loaned a Phillips screwdriver & rachet without concern. Great team!!

The guy that helped me was amazing not only was he very patient with lack of car knowledge but taught me as well. He even helped me fill my oil just where it needed to be. As well as answer all my questions not matter how silly I thought they where

I am so grateful for Amanus help yesterday. It was subzero temperatures and my car battery died. Amanu was will willing to drive to my home and install the battery for me. Came in one night desperate for wiper blades there was 3 people in the store. No one greeted me. No one asked if I needed help. I stood there for 15 minutes on my phone trying to figure out which blades I needed as they walked by. Finally I put the other items down and went next door. No one even acknowledged o left. Very disappointed - that was a bad first impression.

Customer service is not their strong suit!! 3 people working there and no one wants to help you

The best auto parts store in town! I usually buy my auto parts online & pick-up in store & never had a problem. Ive called them often to ask questions & then make my purchase online & theyre always been helpful & able to answer my questions. Ive been going to this location for over 10 yrs & theyve tested batteries & replaced my windshield wipers a couple of times for free. I believe they still also offer free loaner tools if you need something you dont have! If you have a question no one else can answer ask for Stan, hes a terrific fountain of knowledge!

Great fast service but limited supply on sterio supply

Purchased a new battery for our car on their website and picked it up at the Merle Hay store. Stan, the guy that works there, installed it and tested my electrical system. Did a thorough job too. Cleaned the terminals and greased them good with special battery terminal grease to prevent corrosion. Much appreciated, Stan!

Not overly friendly, but had the products I was looking for. Prices for some stuff is a bit higher than most but have a great selection of car products and parts.

Tested then replaced my bad battery. Saved $$ by patronizing this location.

I understand that a business need to make money. However, the prices here are outrageous. I needed a couple of 22 wiper blades. I paid over 24 bucks for the Cheap brand. I could have paid that for one of the better blades. The next day I went to Walmart and found the EXACT SAME BLADES for 5.97. Really? you need that kind of mark up? Never again! I would rather spend more at any other store! This is stupid and I feel like I was taken advantage of. I cant believe you are still in business! I will never recommend you to anyone! Lesson learned, SHOP AROUND!

Went in the other evening for a fuel pump to find one guy working. Im trying to tell him what I need while hes fielding calls and other customers. I felt bad for him. I told him my vehicle, he grabs the pump and I leave.Two days later I go to put the pump in and its the wrong one. Ok, it happens. I go back to return it and they wont take it. I told the guy they gave me the wrong one what am I supposed to do? He tells me Next time make sure its the right one. Seriously.Went around the corner to NAPA and my truck is back in business.

Ordered my new battery online, popped in and had it installed for free. My tech, Allison, was great. Very professional, courteous and made quick work of my old corroded battery.

Order ahead on your phone and you can just run in and pick it up! There always seems to be some deal when you look at the website. You can also borrow certain tools (with a deposit) that youll probably never use more than once, saving you the cost of buying them.

It took over an hour to exchange an in-warranty battery while the 2 employees argued over how the point of sale system works in front of me. I must have given my phone number and address no less than 5 times. I was seconds from grabbing my new battery and running out the door when by the grace of god something worked and the transaction that should have taken 30 seconds completed in an hour and 10 minutes. Just go somewhere else.

After finding what we needed (by ourselves) we had all of our questions just shrugged off with no attempt to help. We ended up just leaving to try and get the part we needed somewhere else. I would not recommend buying anything from here, and have been urging friends and family to look somewhere else.
