Boot barn has very nice Western attire. Lots of great looking boots. I am so glad they have kept the G&L work clothes and shoes, boots too. Please keep the 5x or larger size too. They have a reward program which was nice to know. My son shopped here to get some new t shirts. Was thrilled they had 5x. The only trouble we had was the young lady working the cash register, was having a tough day. We heard about about how bad she was feeling. As we left I wished her well.

I cannot think of one aspect of the store that is better since becoming part of boot barn. Anyone that sees this as a positive experience, certainly missed out on what G & L clothing offered. It always took an extra effort on my part to get there because of its location, but it was worth it because of the staff, selection & personal attention. None of those things exist at the level they were under G & L clothing. So, like I said… If you think this place is good, you missed out on a great thing. I won’t be back.

Amazing selection of clothing, jewelry, and other fashionable accessories. I cant be for sure if its priced well as I dont buy expensive clothes often, but everything was within my budget. I love everything in the store, as well as the amazing workers that helped in any way they could to make this an amazing experience.

This used to be G & L clothing and was a great place. It HAD a friendly helpful staff and it HAD reasonably priced quality clothing. If you notice j said HAD it is now boot barn rhe staff does not care about you or want to help. The prices are up hugely and if you have a problem they dont care about it. I had been a customer of G&L for years. I will now find someplace else. Because Boot Barn doesnt care about you.

Seen some boots that I really liked online. Wanted to try them on to make sure they are comfortable. They have a huge and beautiful selection. I found a pair, that I thought I was going to pay $160 for (which is cheap for a quality boot). Got to the register and they were on sale for $99!!!! Love them!!

Had a great experience. They replaced a jacket I purchased from the store that.I think was defective. Two different employees helped me and both were extremely kind to me. Ill be back! Thanks!

The manager and store personnel was by far the best I’ve ever encountered in any retail store I’ve been in, they literally go over and beyond for the customer!

They are still new and just a tad unorganized yet. For my wife they need to carry a larger selection of womens work wear. G&L never did either. Guys can find anything. But womens work wear is really difficult to find especially in many sizes. On the guys side, if you have big feet, like me, I saw size 17s in there. And a selection.Thats rare

If Boot Barn thinks they are continuing G&L clothing legacy? Then they are sadly mistaken. Customer service is very poor. The staff are lazy and don’t want to help. Over priced, and the store no longer carries clothing for people who are on the plus sized. I’ll be happy to shop somewhere else, and give referrals to the other store I’m shopping at. Boot Barn is a joke.

Disappointed they done have big sizes in cargo work pants like dickies, they have tall but not big in what I was looking for.

Bought keen boots 5 months ago already fell apart the sole is split apart spent 195 bucks on them totally worthless..., yellow non slip things at the bottom of sole all fell off in 3 weeks dont not buy I do not reccomend I have proof even have the receipt.....update**** the boots were under warranty they said keen fixed the problem and gave me free replacement keen boots Ive had about a month and can already tell there holding up way better nothing has broke or fell apart now Im happy with the money I spent

Its doesnt have quite the feel that it did when G&L owned it but they were still friendly, had a very good selection of work clothing & boots, & offered me a discount through my employer. If you need work wear you should definitely go see them.

Super disappointed in the lack of selection in women’s work wear and boots. I used to love getting work jeans there, then they stopped selling the two styles that worked for me. They used to have a decent selection in boots but that’s also dropped significantly. Even the work socks I liked are gone.The number of female trade workers, warehouse staff, and industrial positions has been climbing for quite some time now. It would be nice to have a local company we can walk into, buy boots, pants, socks, and actual work shirts without having to research various different companies online.G&L used to be a great store get all you needed for work in one shot and the staff used to be very friendly and helpful. The selection of products sold and customer service has really nose dived in the last two years.

Why do I need to share all my personal information to buy an overpriced article of cheap clothing?

So I spent $400 online for work clothes, I got 3 pair of carhartt jeans and some other stuff. 1 pair of Jeans and the other stuff I ordered came fairly quick, by quick I mean in 7 to 14 days, the other 2 pair of Jeans were apparently shipped from somewhere else and here we are 3 weeks later and I get an email this morning that the last 2 pair are now on backorder and will be arriving late (er) when they were supposed to ship over a week ago. Seriously, how hard is it to put a couple pairs of jeans in a box, slap a sticker on it and ship it? I know Im not the only customer but geez! Im glad this place is doing away with their work clothes so others dont have to go through waiting a month on their orders. Long story short, go elsewhere

Used to be 5 stars when there was still some G&L remnants there. Now, that its been fully converted to Boot Barn they no longer seem to carry the extra large mens sizes or some of the name brands they once did.

They are definitely continuing G&L Clothings friendly customer service. They also offer a 10% discount for Union members and military veterans!

Check this place out. BOGO deals and great SEASONAL Selections. Gunna smile every time I put on this Columbia sports jacket and hat on. Tamica was Super Nice and really helpful. When there was a small issue at the register Phil was eager to help make it right.

G&L should have not sold Boot Barn . Service is terrible and takes 15 to 20 minutes to check out. Poor selection as well. 0 stars would be more appropriate. Service is still terrible. Security gaurd is rude . This place sucks, never has the sizes you need. Not very busy.

I always bought my work boots at G & L. G & L had great service, selection, and boots were displayed very nicely on the wall. It is not the same since they sold to Boot Barn. Boots are unorganized, not displayed well, and disappointing inventory. I was asked several times by the same employee if I needed any help but never had much advice or seem to knowledgeable about work boots. When I checked out I was asked who helped me so then it made sense why I was checked up on so often. G & L used to offer a discount for my employer but wouldnt offer a discount unless I was a union member. I ended up buying a relatively expensive pair of boots but will look elsewhere in the future.

Went to look at Carhartt hoodies and I asked a gal to direct me to what I was looking for and come to find out she was security but she was very nice and more than helpful 🙂

Alma greeted me at the door, she went above the call of duty, that I am a somewhat difficult shoe size and Im indecisive. She hung in there and saw to my fullest satisfaction.

They have great quality clothing items and shoes and boots. Geared towards outdoor work and play. Best of all the people who work there are great.

Went there on January 15th, 2021 looking for a belt for big and tall and they dont sell them anymore. I had trouble finding Dickies as well

First year of boot barn taking over G&L alot stayed the same. Since the 2nd year of ownership they are revamping inventory and display layout in the store. Which for our geographic location they have quit selling things due to carhartt discontinuing some of their artic wear and they dont have a winter boot over a 1000g that is reliable. Store was very unorganized, floors look like they havent been vacuumed in a week, and are way under staffed! I have been coming to G&L for the last 10years for my winter gear and will now be ordering it online.

Horrible staff they have no knowledge of product. I purchased Carhartt overalls and coat from them no one there seemed to have any clue about what I was asking. No staff was eager to help you out they wanted too keep working on projects getting ready to check out plan on waiting 30-45 minutes to pay. I miss the old G&L and the old G&L staff where they treated you like family!

They need to have more variety of western apparel. And more things for people that need fire approved clothing.

I bought a sweatshirt from them 3 weeks ago and paid an extra 6$ to get a company logo on it was told they will have it done by the following week so I made the half hour drive down there to pick it up and the lady said that she didn’t send it out because she didn’t know if we had paid yet??? Then she Insisted on me showing her the receipt luckily I had kept it. She said it will be done the following Wednesday. Wednesday rolls around and I call multiple times with no answer. I make the 30 min drive today (Saturday) and my 70$ sweatshirt still isn’t done. This will be the last time I will purchase anything from G&L.

Boot Barn is a shell of its former self. The newcomers to the staff arent nearly as helpful or welcoming as the G and L folks. Ill shop there, only because they have clothing I need. I can get the boots and shoes at other stores and will be happy to do so. Id argue that Boot Barn is just an expensive Walmart without the drama.

When the store was G&L Clothing I could purchase a boys or girls carhartt winter coat in July if I really wanted to. Not anymore, there is nothing for kids. The selection of Carhartt gear isn’t as good either. Why would Boot Barn want to change the layout of a store that worked? I guess I’ll shop online from now on.

Very impressed with the customer service that they provide. The employees at G & L Clothing take pride in their work and helped me find what I was looking for. I was looking for some fairly specific work wear and not only did they help me find it, but also found it on the clearance isle. Also the items that they did not have they are going to mail to me when they are restocked. I couldnt ask for any better service.

Decent blue collar working person store- as in selection. Prices are average for what they offer. Staff is friendly and helpful. My company uses them for uniforms- hoodies, pants, shirts, sweaters etc.

Whatever you do, DONT GIVE THEM YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS! At least it was a decent place before Boot Barn took over. Always had clothes for the tall guy. I havent shopped there since the takeover and Im afraid of what Ill find now. I think they specialize in spam now.

Not an actual barn.... After the initial let down, the staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Prices a little high, but Im a cheap pile of human filth. Ill definitely be back because my boss buys me gift cards from here once a year.

They always take good care of me when I go in for boots for work. They have a good selection of metguard boots at a decent price. The shoe guys are knowledgeable about what what you need and how they will fit.

I shopped G&L Clothing for several years for work clothes and always enjoyed going in the store as the staff was always very helpful and greeted you as you entered the store and cared about your business then it got sold to Boot Barn. I went to the Ingersoll store (old G&L) a few weeks ago to get some work pants and entered the Boot Barn and you could have thrown a stone in the store and not hit a sole. There was no staff at the front door area or even at the checkout registers to say hello or to even ask you how can we help you. I bet it was 10 minutes in the store before I even saw any staff. The customer service is about the worst you can get, it is not the caliber of G&L Clothing and probably never will be. It is sad that we had such a great work clothing store in Des Moines with G&L Clothing now we don’t have a good work clothing store anymore.My experience in the Boot Barn was horrible and you can find anything or anyone to help you and my size pant is hardly available in what I wantedNot sure I will go back, does someone want to open a great work clothing store in Des Moines, like the old G&L Clothing, you would have my business

My wife needed some safety shoes and the salesman was extremely helpful. Found a pair for our job. Quite a good selection. I also bought a high viability shirt.And looked at a large selection of work clothes, great.

We go here for all my boyfriends clothes for work, casual and dress. As a tall, larger man (5X tall shirts, 54/32 pant) he has difficulty finding decent priced clothes. Here he is usually able to find a good deal. For example, he got a nice Carhart shirt for $25 (regularly $45) that he loves and looks quite handsome in.The older gentleman that works here can size you up right in a few seconds and van find you a great deal in your size without asking. Not many retail workers like that any more.

Good place to get all your work cloths needs. They have about every kind of car hart clothing. They have great boots and selection of other items. They offer price breaks and discounts for union and contractor people. Just need to have your card and stuff. The prices are usually good as well. Havent seen too much in their that is over priced.

For being over 100 years old, this place is in good shape. The selection is decent but nothing out of this world. Worth stopping in at least once but I imagine this store will be extinct after a few more years.
