We are very pleased to have been able engage Habitat for Humanity ReStore to donate and have some furniture moved from a family apartment. The workers were very gracious, kind, and understanding towards our family. The workers were on time and able to get the job done in good fashion. They could have used an additional crew member; nevertheless we would not hesitate to call on ReStore again.
This place is an amazing money saver. If you are doing any remodeling make sure you come here first. I was amazing at the low prices and items they sell. From screw and hardware to paint and porcelain tile. They also have reclaimed wood. Which I use a lot of. Save money and support Habitat for Humanity in one shot.
Donating was absolutley wonderful! The folks that helped me at Habitat were absolutley awesome!
Whether you are looking to donate or purchase some home building and remodeling supplies, the Restore is the place to go! The store is clean, staff is super helpful, and their online store and pickup is super convenient. It’s great to know the proceeds go to help the community out! Special thanks to Shawn who is always willing to go the extra mile.
I love ReStore. I wish the one here was like the one in Canton Ohio but its still good. The Canton one had furniture and household items as well as a great selection of lumber and such. This location doesnt have quite the variety but they have some lovely area rugs and their flooring selection is great.
Constantly changing selection of gently used and new furniture, appliances & building material. Sales generate money for a worthy cause. If you find something you like there, buy it all because there is no guarantee they will always have it in stock because most of the merchandise is donated.Staff are very nice & helpful. They also have a great program to loan out tools but you have to be a home owner.
Very friendly and helpful staff. There are many cheap and affordable options for home improvement items. Interactions with this place goes to a wonderful cause in the Des Moines area.
Pick-up staff were friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. Called prior to their arrival to pick up a donated appliance. Answered all of my donation questions and were able to give suggestions about donations. Great experience, will definitely donate more to this wonderful organization in the future.
I had a very positive experience setting up a donation pick up with Habitat for Humanitys ReStore .I contacted them via their online request form and was replied to immediately by Crystal, the person in charge of pick ups. She set up a pick up for within a week of my request and because it was a heavy pick up (electronic loveseat), agreed to come right inside the front door and carry it out. The pick up was flawless - the young men were strong, courteous and willing to be Covid-safe. I received a donation receipt within a few days of the pick up. I am very impressed and will make Restore my first shopping and donation experience from now on.
I can always find good bargains at the Restore. I did purchase a King sheet set for only $19.99 and they are decent sheets. My only problem is that my mattress is way over the standard size so of course the fitted sheet doesnt fit my mattress very well. If you have a normal size mattress, then its a great buy!!!
The people who came and picked up the appliances were excellent. They were fast, efficient and friendly. They were great!
My family and I love coming in here to purchase items for our home. They have so many area rugs to choose from and I also bought brand new 1500 thread count, brand new bed sheets for only $16. Not to mention, two of the most comfortable memory foam pillows also brand new!
Fast and easy to donate. Very worthy cause!
Got my new shower here, lots of good stuff if you have patience. Be quick when they drop merchandise, it goes fast. The piece I got would have been over $ 1000, got it for $250. Just like the weather in Iowa, if you dont like it, give it a day, it will change Quickly! ;)
Easy and fast booking process….truck and drivers were on time and very professional….always happy to give to such a worthy cause….If I ever have more things to donate I will definitely have habitat for humanity come again!!
Always find great things at very reasonable prices. Well organized store with helpful staff
Good people great prices unique stuff
Great items, great prices, great customer service.
Habitat for Humanity Restore has a lot of different building materials. The prices are reasonable to.
Always gave found great deals here on various things for my home! Recently decided to get new cabinets, so I contacted Habitat about donating them. They not only came and picked up the old cabinets, they also grabbed my old countertop, sink, and disposal! Guys were friendly and it took like 5 minutes. Highly recommend them for home improvements and for donating to!
Really neat place affordable a great place for home remodeling/Repair needs
The best place to find all things creative.
It was a adventure going threw all the stuff in there, Fair prices and good staff..
Used to be able to get better deals, seems like prices are going up. Bought some nice flooring for our bathroom remodel at 45.00 a box 22.***square feet each. It does support habitat for humanity though.
The Restore staff is the nicest, friendliest group you will find, all doing work that benefits the community. I really appreciate that they will pick up items that are too big for me to deal with, and they always keep their appointments. Thanks also for all the great things we have bought from the store over the years!
I really dont see how the ReStore folks could do any better. Weve donated a few times. Had them pick up our donations each time. The people Ive worked with on the phone to schedule and in person when they pick up the donations have been helpful, courteous, and polite. Its a great organization. I highly recommend them.
Better prices than Urbandale Restore. Great value for building products. Sure beats Lowes.
Went there to look cause I had never been. Everyone was really nice and I found some really good prices rugs for my home! Definitely going back.
Great Restore...store. Very good selection and prices
Anytime I have a project this is the first place to go when picking materials...you wont get everything you need but..they always have an ever changing selection and many times I have altered my plans due to finding some unique item that adds to the character of a room.
Great store,a little bit of everything.
Great store with friendly employees but some things are overpriced.
Restore does some amazing things in the community.....
I was looking for some deals and did not see many. Prices were not out of line, just closer to. Normal retail than i hoped.
Found the perfect paints and brackets and the staff were very helpful!
Great place to find new and used things for home improvement at reduced prices.
Excellent communication throughout the donation/home pick up service. Very professional.
Great people helping a great cause
Really....after all these years open and yur STILL TAXIN??? Lower yur prices to the accual value and not the retail value for once
They were very friendly, very helpful. They have wheelchairs if you need one.
Wonderful found new king size sheet sets deep pocket for 20 bucks, lots of great deals
What a gem of a place, lots of good stuff for your home if you are a DIYer
This place is awesome they had a lot of stuff for great prices for home improvement Im going to go check out the urbandale store and see if theres any difference in prices and materials
Great folks to work with. They came and picked up our items. Very courteous and appreciative. Would highly recommend them.
Very nice team of people who really want to help you.
If goodwill was a lumberyard....I dont know why I keep going back. Closeouts and damaged merchandise for 20% under retail. No returns. 24 hour warranty.Kind of like shopping Facebook Marketplace. If you get lucky you might find something that will work. You might even save a little money. How much time do you want to spend looking?
My first visit seemed pretty cool browsing for carpet throws pretty fair prices with multiple sizes.
Found what I was looking for and always worth it to browse thru their aisles! Great values!
It seems thier appliances are priced the same as big box stores. I thought everything is Donated, so why the high prices on appliances is beyond me.I thank the person that responded to my post.I didnt know that you do purchase some appliances and some are donated, although I did shop high and low and often for couple weeks and prices were real same at the places I checked. Anyway, thank you again. FYI, I have never had a bad experience when I go to re store, I enjoy the time I spend there.
Restore parts @ new pricing. Getting to be same as buying new price. Used to be reasonable
I will always go here. They employees are helpful and they helped me to understand were I go
Very helpful to find what you need.
This is one of the biggest restore stores Ive been in. Theres a huge selection for everything you need for the home.
Found what I was looking for. Staff was very helpful and helped load my item
The restore is my favorite place to start whenever I do home remodels. I love their paint selections. Their appliances are great. Staff has always been helpful and friendly.
This place is a renovators dream. Honestly, Id love to spend a whole day here, picking out projects I dont have time to work on. The staff are helpful and the variety of available materials, appliances, and accoutrements ia excellent.
Good s*** man good s***
I use the ReStore frequently and donate leftovers from my projects to help not only Habitat, but also others who are looking for bits and pieces to finish their own projects. I have benefited from other people donating their unneeded materials before, in some cases when I could not source it anywhere else. I urge you to donate the material rather than send it to the landfill where it doesnt do anyone any good.
Visited this store today with my father who is a Vietnam vet and can not wear a mask due to a breathing issue. He tried to explain his issue where he was meant with I dont care you cant shop here without one. My father returned to car and I proceeded inside. Upon me leaving 2 boys and a girl are making fun of my father. I approached them and let the ring leader know if I ever heard him make fun of a vet again i would have his job. He thought that was funny. I offered to walk outside with the young man, he chose not to and everyone else decided they should apologize. A manager came from out of no where and assured me this was not appropriate behavior. I made sure they knew everyone would know their treatment of a veteran. I wont do business at a place that doesnt value their veterans.
The collection team was great to work with and very professional.
They had some great area rugs at a great price.
Way over priced wont go back after I did a big free donation and they want new prices
The employees were awesome- super helpful, cheerful, and also did a great job helping each other with loading and check out!
Great to find things for your home
Great first stop shop
Periodically love the periodically love to stop in here sometimes you find something quality that you need but other times you find stuff that costs more here than it does at the store go figure but I support their purpose in the end
Surprisingly, the East Euclid Restore is AWESOME!!!!! Well organized and very clean...I went in to find some lawn mowing tennies and had to force myself to leave! The staff are friendly and attentive...they knew exactly where everything was...tons of brand name stuff, cool obscure items, all kinds of items you never knew you needed! I cant to return and buy more stuff!!!!!
Great prices Chris was cheerful and helpful loading my cabinet.
Kind of expensive for having everything donated to them
The gentleman called they were headed to my home from Indianola. They arrived and I did not see or hear them. Thank you!
Very dirty store. Many things not working. The prices are really close to retail. I went to see about getting a door and had checked the other box box hardware stores and they ranged from $60 to $300 and I thought if I go to the restore they should have some better priced. Nope. The one that I found that would work with no hardware and wasnt prehung they wanted $120 or $130 so I knew I could get a prehung cheaper elsewhere. The staff was polite and one guy made the kids happy. I wouldnt avoid this place because I have found deals there but alot of it was not.
Prices always good and its a adventure.
Usually find what I need.
During this mess in life, we decided to remodel. We love the online option and all the help which was given. Matt has been my go to guy for many ideas.Great experince and definitely will continue business at this location.Yall Rock!
Very helpful. Thank you
Love this place we go there alot. Always nice 2 c what they have
Wide variety of things available for DIY. Some pricing a little high. Not all things in excellent shape. Staff pleasant.
Very good place to go
They have so many neat stuff
New items received daily. Staff is very helpful and will obtain someone if they do not know answer. Well worth a visit. Great prices.
Nasty, no delivery help when you buy furniture. Rude checker!
Another good place to get rid of stuff!
I was unloaded by a friendly helper and received my receipt promptly.
I called to schedule a donation pick up. A friendly and professional person scheduled the truck. The arriving employees were courteous and friendly, and arrived within the scheduled time window. Very reliable, and would definitely recommend The Restore for shopping and donations!
Best place to pick up supplies. Feels kind of like hunting for treasure when working on a special project. Good to know its going towards a good cause also.
Not as nice as urbandae
Theyve got a lot of neat stuff and a lot of its brand new. Never really find anything though.
This is a great place to start any home remodeling project
Good place to shop
Didnt have what we were looking for
A store where you can find fantastic discounted prices on new scratch and dent appliances still under warranty; odd lot, remnant or gently used plumbing and electrical supplies, carpeting, tile, and flooring; a large variety of light fixtures, rugs, tools, and other building supplies. Shopping here saves you money, keeps all these items out of land fills, and the money helps fund Habitat for Humanity. An amazing win-win-win situation, why wouldnt you check it out?
Thank you got siding for my house for 60% off of what I would pay for it at a regular store great deals
Sooo much stuff. We got clips for our Xmas lights there. 100 for $3.00
G8 place to buy less expensive home remolding items.
Great place to donate!
