I recently purchased the cleanest 2005 Jeep TJ completely rust free nice lift decked out with the bumpers and winch that I wanted. Mike was awesome during the sales process when I basically test drove everything on the lot until I decided on the one I wanted. Solid and friendly crew working there and the used jeep selection is the best in central Iowa. They dont just sell Jeeps they actually know Jeeps. You dont find that many places. I highly recommend these guys. Id give them 6 stars if it were possible.
I bought a van for my business from Downing Auto. It had some imperfections and issues, so I haggled on the price with him, and felt like I got a win from this transaction. As I was driving the vehicle home (a 3 hour trip), the check engine light came on. Long story short, the transmission had no fluid in it and had burned up. I had to get the entire transmission replaced on a car I had bought hours earlier. Downing agreed to split the cost of the transmission with me, $1500 each, but I then only received a check for $1000 in the mail, and no response when I tried to follow up with them. Do not buy a vehicle from Downing Auto Sales!
Although we had some unfortunate issues after the sale two months ago, when an issue came up that only they could help with, they were willing to help us out.
I love this place. The employees are helpful and friendly. The sales staff are motivated and attentive. The owner is a good man. If you need a car you should check it out
Looked at some Jeeps Saturday the 28th, the door said open until 4, website says open until 3. We checked both buildings the doors were locked, there was 5 other people looking also.
Nice place! Real friendly with no high pressure sales pitch.
Bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee from them, wheel bearing seized up a couple weeks after purchase. Called and talked Joe, he got it fixed the next day. The jeep itself was in great shape. I would buy here again.
This dealer has to be one of the most crooked people I have met. The fat guy joe tried to sell me a car that was rusty and had frame damage. Had no problem with lying to sell a car.The owner I believe Darby was even worse to deal with I have never met someoneSo awful. They definitely have no moral compass and no problem trying to rip you off with a smile! Never would I do business with these people and I would never recommend buying there cars unless you want junk!
Typical used car lot
Great place to buy cars/ Jeeps or trucks. Great people to deal with
Good place to shop for your next ride! 👍
Bought a 2005 f250 6.0 turbodiesel from them a few weeks ago and had 2 injectors go out I didnt have a warranty but when i called and talked to Joe he got me 2 new injectors thats a dealership that cares about its costumers i will definitely buy from them again. Update had issue with getting them to send in the title took 2 months and I had to contact DOT vehicle enforcement for them to get it done a little disapointed
I bought a wrangler a while back from one of theyre lots, got in a fender bender and found a bud light box for rocker panels, frame was rusty and i paid over 10k for it. what a rip off!!
Stopped in a couple weeks ago and talked to a lady and a guy named Joe, didnt seem to care that i was looking at cars, asked about a couple trucks and they told me i couldnt afford to even sit in them, wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to shop there! buyer beware!!!!
Nice people
