The inside of the shop is so cute! I love the apparel and candles they sell. I ordered a hot white mocha and it was one of the best I’ve ever had, plus the staff was so friendly. I’ll definitely be back.

My favorite coffee placenin Central Iowa. There Home Fire Espresso beans are to die for.I love an Americano, the Aztec Mocha which adds a little chili with your mocha. My all time favorite is the Java classic. Vanilla ice cream with Home Fire Espresso and whipped cream. Their whip cream is homemade amd I could bathe in it. I am a very rewarded customer at five different coffee shops but this is the one I go to when the others have disappointed me.

Only at this shop once in a blue moon due to living location being far away but when I’m out here they’re always so friendly. I can never remember the woman’s name but of course I ran into her again today (wearing orange shirt if she can get Recognition) and as always the biggest smile and always able to pick up a swift and pleasant conversation making you feel right at home.

Had some delicious coffee and picked up a few bags of loose tea. Great deal and its super delicious. Its small but in a charming way. Very clean, staff was good about suggesting drinks. Service was fast - so many people were in and out in the short time we were there. There was never a long wait after you ordered. Definitely going back.

Talk about choices! Lots of teas and coffees to choose from. You can also sit outside and watch the cars go by on nice cemented picnic tables.

This was my first time here. The staff is friendly and helpful. The coffee was very good and I had a hot chocolate and it was awesome not over priced. The one little restroom was super clean and smelt incredible. I will be going again and again.

Cool atmosphere in a small space. They make real cappuccinos and have a large selection of coffee beans. Sometimes there is a long line, but the service is good.

Friendly staff and great coffee

I have been going to this coffee shop since I was a child, now my habit is almost daily. They have the most perfectly blended frapoucinos that I just cannot find elsewhere (no chunks of ice). The atmosphere is always laid back and the staff is polite and good at what they do. This is my top spot for coffee and smoothies and everywhere else just pales in comparison.

The brewed coffee is great. Sometimes they have good pastries. Their ground coffee makes nice gifts.

So so coffee is okay but there are better places to get coffee in the area grounds for celebration is close and if you want a good cup of coffee thats where you should go

One of the tiniest coffee shops I’ve been to. I meet allot of very creative people in line there. It’s a minny meca, off the hook cool place. Allot of DesMoines celebs show face there- literally. A good place to create some drama. Wonderful people and engaging staff.

Good variety of products and fantastic staff. Lots of regulars and the local artwork on walls changes often. Recommend it to coffee lovers and non-franchise atmosphere people.

The staff is super friendly! What makes them amazing is helping me pick out a drink that would work with some of my diet restrictions. Its really intimidating to sort and debate and they had no issue engaging with the conversation and helping out.

I love all three Locations! Hard working Employees! They obviously take coffee drinker seriously. I usually go to 42nd Street and 22nd but a few pit stops to Urbandale. Best coffee around!!!! By far!

Really good chai latte! The service was fast and friendly. Its busy area which will keep you entertained if you are into people watching. The seat arrangements could be updated and could be made more relaxing.

Great local chain. Their espresso seems to be a little bolder than other places. You can buy whole beans and loose leaf tea here. This location is a little smaller than the others, but is just as nice.

Great little find off of University. Just moving here about 2 months ago, I saw the Friedrichs Coffee sign and wondered if its just a generic coffee shop who think flavored coffee is where its at. Well I was surprised to find a large choice of coffee beans from regions all around the world. They also have flavored coffees for those who enjoy it. From an always fresh house brew to all types of espresso based drinks. They will also brew an individual cup of coffee if you prefer some thing other than the coffee of the day. I particularly like Kona and Sumatra. Two complaints that I have is I do like my espresso darker roasted and I cant understand why when I say thank you to the same female barista, she will never return the normal gesture of your welcome . I dont know why that bothers me so much but it does. Thats day one in good customer service skills

They have a variety of loose leaf tea and herbal tea which can be brewed hot or cold. Always great customer service.
