I had a very pleasant and enjoyable experience (except the glaucoma test) with everyone I met in your staff at the Merle Hay facility. Dr. Kemmerer was very efficient, professional, courteous and kind during my visit. I will recommend your location to all of my friends and family.

I first gave 3 stars for a few issues I had with my first visit - I waited over a year to give them a second chance.However, my second visit was great and I no longer have concerns and will return in the future. I am amending my review accordingly to reflect my subsequent good experience.

I explained my situation and how my local eye doctors branch were unwilling to help me. They had some trials in my prescription and had me stop in. They have never seen me before and I have not been a patient in the past. They handed me the trials and sent me on my way without wanting anything. Because of their great service, professionalism and kind demeanor I bought a six month supply of contacts on the spot. Now I am contemplating driving two hours when I need my next appointment. I was running a little bit late to my appointment but once I got to the office that stuff there were very understanding and I only had to wait a few minutes to be seen. The staff are always very professional and personal. They remembered me from the last time I was in there and provided excellent customer service. They quickly moved me from one room to another to complete my examinations explaining what they are doing along the way. I then saw Doctor Kemmerer or Katie as she asked to be called. Katie was very professional and personable she administered to her eye exam and explained them as she went. She remembered the last time I visited the office nearly 9 months ago and remembered a funny story I told her which was impressive. Katie finished quickly and told me if I had any issues don’t hesitate to come back. I would highly recommend this office because of the quality service, professional staff, and they also explain the insurance process very well.

What a wonderful surprise to find such an amazing doctors office inside a mall. After my previous Optometrist dropped out of network for my insurance plan three years ago I started going to Huseman Eye Care. I have always received excellent care from this office, but yesterday was incredible. I scheduled an appointment online several days ago, and promptly showed up at the front desk yesterday. Unfortunately, I scheduled my appointment at the wrong location, so I was in the wrong place at the right time. It didnt even phase the wonderful people working the front desk. In just a few moments I was checked in and having my eyes examined. The exam was efficient and complete, moving along at a good pace but spending plenty of time to ensure everything was accurate with my prescription and that my eyes are healthy. I felt that the doctor and the staff truly cared about my vision and the service that they provide. This is a valuable thing that I dont see as often anymore. 5 stars and a grateful thank you to the wonderful doctors and staff at Huseman Eye Care Merle Hay.

Was greeted promptly, with a smile. I was early but they got me in right away. Dr and tech were very kind and listened to me. State of the art diagnostics (as far as I know) used. Will continue to use Huseman Eye Care for my vision care.

The exam was excellent and the doctor very professional. However, I had set two appointments for my spouse and I at the same time with two different doctors, hoping to save time on a busy day. We arrived to find that there was only one doctor available so the wait was longer than anticipated.

I’ve been going to both the Merle Hay & Valley West Huseman Eye Care locations for my eye exams for well over a decade. Everyone I’ve encountered there over the years has been very caring, skilled, & professional. I normally see Dr Soults or Dr Huseman & they are both excellent. Service is quick but never feels rushed or impersonal. Highly recommend!

Ive been going to this clinic for a few years now. Service with all of the doctors and staff is outstanding and exceptional. The doctors were amazing but the receptionists were not friendly and caring at all- very disappointed. And I thought I was suppose to be asked (like last time) if I wanted to do Optimal Retinal Imaging but I guess she just assumed that I wanted to do it. I thought this was going to be my regular eye doctor but no, not after today.

In and out before my appointment time! I showed up early to do paperwork, didnt have any as I had been there before. I ended up getting done with the appointment, getting my new lenses ordered, and back to my truck before my my appointment was even supposed to start! Staff was very friendly and great to work with. This was my regular eye doctor, but not any more. Went in Friday to get an appointment and scheduled for the next day. When I made the appointment the girl asked if I wore contacts and if I had insurance. Yes to both and showed her my insurance card. All was good...so I thought. Go in for my appointment and was told they dont take my insurance! Why waste my time? Why didnt you tell me when I made the appointment?

I came to Huseman Eyecare because my last eyedoctor had very rude receptionists and kept me waiting for 30 minutes before seeing me at every appointment. The receptionists at Husemen Eyecare were very friendly and polite and I didnt have to wait long at all to be seen by the doctor. I was seen by Dr. Kemmerer who was very friendly and helpful. Absolutely LOVED Dr. Blume; what a dear, sweet man. Patient, kind and professional and very nice to my children who were with me. Felt very comfortable with the whole visit, start to finish. Ok, so Im going to try to make my really long story as short as possible.I had a migraine for 9 days. After a visit to my local clinic and ER was told to follow up with my eye Dr for the redness in my eyes. I contacted my eye Dr and was told I would need some special scan they didnt have and I was referred to another Dr in Jordan Creek area. They were unable to get me in as they didnt feel a 9 day migraine and bloodshot eyes were an emergency. I was then referred to Dr Huseman. I am sooo happy for that referral!I called Dr Husemans office and was in the area. They told me to come right in and they would see me. I got there and they took me right into an exam room. I waited less then 5 min to actually meet Dr Huseman. I ended up having a pretty bad case of uveitus and we were in with the Dr for almost 2 hours! I left with a prescription in hand and was already starting to feel the pain leave! This ordeal has lasted almost a month now (with needing to be referred to a specialist for retina issue) and I have never felt pushed aside or uninformed. Now working again with Dr Huseman for follow-up work I couldnt be happier with my health-care service.Dr Huseman and his staff are over the top, 1 of a kind service that you just dont find anymore. Through this whole ordeal I have seen many Drs who I had to wait hours to see and then would barely examine me. With Dr Huseman I felt like a person not just a number to stamp out.Im so grateful to Dr Huseman and his staff for caring for me during my hour of need. If you have an option of where to go in the DSM area, choose Dr Huseman eye care. You will NOT be disappointed.
