This was my second time ordering and much worse than the first. I ordered the 350 series as well as 250 sliding windows for the basement. During installation, 5 of the 350s had the same problem that is shown in the pictures - installers didnt notice or didnt comment, I did. I was worried about a defective batch since so many had the issue and weather stripping seems pretty important on a window.The installer said service would get it straightened out. It took 3.5 weeks after installation to get someone to come work on the issue and they told me it should be fixed after applying some caulk. I was skeptical but Im not the professional tech so ok, sure.2 weeks later, I called back to let them know the same issue was happening again and that 2 more windows were now showing the problem. On top of that, several windows are so tight that it takes me pulling with all my strength to get them moving. Service said theyd call me back, at which point I was told the earliest availability to have anyone come work on the issue is in 3 weeks.One other minor issue - one of the sliding windows is in a corner in the basement. Neither sales on the initial walkthrough nor the installer on the following walkthrough put in that sliding window needed to slide in the opposite direction to the others. Makes that window pretty useless. I told the sales guy about it, he mentioned they could charge me for a new window and that hed find out if they had any other options beyond that. Never heard from him again.You pay a premium ordering directly from Pella but I thought it would be worth it for superior service. If the first experience was like this I would not have ordered again. This installation was done in the beginning of May; it should not take until at least July now to resolve issues present from the start.Quick update: Downgraded from 2 stars to 1. Reached out to the social media email as requested, no response. Got an earlier service visit after someone else cancelled. I followed up on this service visit and was told they will need another week to even place an order for replacement parts.Stay away.

My Pella door and side lights were ordered through and installed by Buresh Home Solutions. The quality and installation were impeccable and the installer was willing to come back to make a minor trim adjustment on the left side of the door as requested.

Update: Different crew to install, very different experience. This crew is great. Covered everything, roped off our yard and working at 5times the pace as previous crew Pella had out. Looks incredible. This is what we expected off the bat. I’ll say Pella has done their best to make things right after an initial disaster. Clearly the install crew makes all the difference. This one is great, first one we had was a disaster. They’ve done their best to make it right. Quality is both product and install, this crew gets it. Nice folks, great job. First crew unfortunately didn’t do a good job but again, Pella came back out to make it right.

Another updates: I would like to thank to Jill and Todd who replace the window for us. They were very helpful and kind. I will fix my rating. I still hope Pella trains their installation team though.they were terrible !Updates: Jill from Pella Windows emailed me very supportive. I will let you know once its fixed.================================We are very frustrated with Pella Windows. It has been a horrible experience and I am regretting we didnt go with Anderson Renewal. Only day Pella treated us right was the day the Sales rep sold the windows.

We were so happy with the entire process of purchasing our new sliding glass door from Pella. The sales rep was AMAZING and great to work with. The install process went so smoothly. Everything was communicated to us and happened exactly as scheduled. Thank You for the all the help, we love our new door. (The dogs do too!) Too bad I dont have a before & after....because that is whats really mind-boggling. :)

**UPDATE 10/22/2019: We appreciate Pella taking our complaints seriously. They have replaced the door, filled in the nail holes on all the windows and door, as well as fixed our storm door/overhang issue.Saying I am disappointed in our experience with Pella is a severe understatement. My expectations when choosing Pella to install new windows, a door, sidelight, and storm door was that we would get the quality product and installation of a highly ranked, nationally known company that would reflect the over $18,500.00 this project cost. Here is a summary of everything that has gone wrong with us choosing Pella (please see included pictures):1. An incorrect window was ordered - instead of a clear, normal window being installed in the master bedroom, they installed a frosted window. I could over look this as a simple mistake other than the fact that I have since received two invoices saying I owe an additional $645.63 for the correction of their mistake (again, the original window I paid for was more expensive then the one they replaced it with).2. The trim ordered and installed was smaller than the previous/existing trim. This meant having to retexturize the walls around all of the windows and painting. This may seem small but it created an unexpected project and expense when we had to hire another contractor to repair the walls when all we thought we were signing on for was new windows. Also, you can see all of the nail holes in the trim.3. After installation there was no caulking put in place around any of the windows, the door, or side light. This made the job look very poor and incomplete - again, we paid the outside contractor to not only repair the walls and paint, but also to finish Pellas job by caulking.4. We ordered a storm door for our back patio door and have a roof with an overhang. This storm door cannot be opened all the way without getting stuck on our roof overhang. I feel that the installers or the person who came out to do the original measurements should have advised of the possible issue with the clearance of the door prior to installation.5. We ordered a door and sidelight combo that cost over $4,000.00. The quality of this product is awful, with black glue seeping out and peeling off on both the inside and outside of the glass. We called Pella to advise of the issue, our sales rep (who was very nice) agreed that the product looked awful and sent someone out to assess the product - they stated that the entire door and sidelight would need replaced - this was over a month ago and there has been no follow through or follow up on the replacement.6. The handles on both the storm door and our new crank window fall/pull off when in use - poor installation and very disappointing.For almost $20,000.00 spent, I expected quality product, installation, and customer service. Unfortunately, Pella lacks in all three of those areas. We were scheduled to complete the second part of our window replacement project with Pella but we will be looking elsewhere for services.

I’ve been waiting on a replacement part since at least May 2021. I was going back-and-forth with the Pella team since early spring, and finally placed the order in May, and they told me it would be delivered in 7 to 10 days.Since then, I followed up via email and phone multiple times, and they never have an answer for me as to what the delay is, or with an updated delivery date. I’m very disappointed in their poor customer service.

When choosing a window company for our home renovations, I sought out many different bids from several manufacturers, none of whom offered the same quality products or service that Pella Windows and Doors of Des Moines and Mark Amdahl could provide. Not only did Mark walk us through every step of the window and door buying process while at their lovely showroom, he offered continued outstanding customer service throughout our year-long project with each and every purchase we made. One day in particular, I received an urgent call from my husband and we had to make a final decision on a large set of windows in our cabin area, and we had to decide immediately on a window opening within ONE HOUR so that the builder could install the correct framing, and Mark made himself immediately available to us, even though he was expected in a meeting, to walk me through the sizing options in order to let my builder continue working with our wall framing project. We are SO pleased with our decision to use Pella Windows and Doors of Des Moines and truly enjoyed and appreciated our pleasant experience with Mark Amdahl.

We recently had our windows replaced in our home from storm damage. We talked with several companies but after meeting with Clayton Weltha with Pella Windows we were done looking. Clayton was in contact with us through the entire process. He understood the style of our house and helped us make our final selection. The windows were installed yesterday and they look amazing.I would also like to point out how good the install crew was. These guys were awesome. The showed up as I was leaving for work & when I got home it was like they were never there. Great craftsmanship & the clean-up was done perfectly.Such a great experience with Pella. Our sliding patio door (decades old) got stuck open in the middle of a nasty cold wave. Called the Service number, Kelly set up an appointment for the afternoon. Joe came out on time and quickly fixed the problem. Both were friendly, professional, efficient. Excellent customer service. Going down to -17 tonight, so nice to have a warm house!

Eric Osgood looked at all our windows and was very informative. We were thinking we needed to replace several windows it turned out we only had 4 and they just need new sashes!

Been trying to get two windows repaired in a house we purchased since the first of August. Previous home owner called at least twice and sent at least 4 e-mails to get work scheduled or done before we took possession of the house. He had not luck and no call backs. I started calling to check on the work and to give them my contact information. Ive called at least 3 time now myself, and no call backs or work scheduled. They were nice and always say theyll call back, but have yet to get a call back, much less get the work scheduled or even get a service ticket # from them. Very disappointed not leaving a good taste in my mouth for the PELLA Brand.

No help at all . Took different avenue went to corn belt aluminum they making replacement screen for your product. Problem with your company ineffective training as I have all info on sticker about door product as have had to deal with your and other similar companies but lady I talked to asked when door installed. It a existing home door came with so year dont have clue . Couldnt get to ken or able to get to calvin either and she hung up phone . Very unprofessional

We were planning a project to have a new exterior door put in for our walk out basement. I had heard really good things about Pella regarding their service, products, and pricing, so I set up an estimate on their online scheduler for a Saturday (one of my two days off per week). I called the Friday afternoon before to confirm that my appointment was still on because I never received a confirmation email (neither in my inbox nor junk). The person who answered the phone was very pleasant and checked everything, confirming my time and date. The next day, I waited around for someone to call me or show up, but after an hour and a half past my appointment time I still had not heard from or seen anyone. I called the office again and asked what happened (they didnt know, but I dont blame them for that). The person who answered (a different person from the first time) was, again, very nice and helped reschedule me. I made an appointment for the following Saturday, same time. Again, I did not receive a confirmation email of any kind. I called today (the Friday before my appointment) to confirm again for my second attempt at an appointment. As usual, the person who answered was very kind and efficient, but informed me that the last person who put in my appointment put it in for Tuesday (4 days from now). I will be at work so that would not work out for me. The office person attempted to help me reschedule but at this point I am pretty disappointed in the service and time I have spent just trying to get someone out to my house. We would have liked to have had an estimate done by now and scheduling for a job, but I unfortunately think we will be looking for another company to work with so we can get the ball rolling before the thick of winter hits. Wish this would have worked out differently.

We have had excellent service from pella over the past several years. denny van langen has helped us replace 25 windows in the house, 5 double windows in our three-season porch, plus two doors and a slider. im detail-oriented, so denny was a great fit for me. there are way too many options to go through all the details, so denny listened to what we wanted, and gave us two or three complete proposals, each of which contained plenty of details for me to understand and choose. we were able to make an informed choice, which led to our high level of satisfaction with all three projects. the installation crew was very professional, with an excellent crew chief, skilled in customer communications.we did have one problem with water getting into our front door sidelights, due to a faulty seal in manufacturing. denny served as the point person to see that the problem was fixed (sidelights were replaced without charge, because they were still under warranty), and again, i was impressed by the service crew.the quality of the pella products is outstanding, and our house is now very well insulated and attractive!

Sunday morning & this A-hole was flying north on 86th street in Clive, swerving in & out of traffic doing about 50 mph. Someones windows must have been dirty...ridiculous to drive like an idiot in the company vehicle.

The decision to put Pella windows in our home was an easy one! I couldn’t have asked for a better quality product or better service. Steve was so helpful in going through the design options to ensure the windows fit the style we were looking for. My favorite feature is the between the glass blinds. I love the clean look of not having blinds cover up our beautiful wood windows and the clear view they provide. I receive so many compliments on our windows and they are one of my favorite features in our home. Definitely recommend Pella and working with Steve.

We had about 19 windows replaced at our house this summer. Everyone we worked with was great. The sales person was patient and worked with us to get us the best day. The installers were very nice, taking time to explain what they were doing as they did it. And they cleaned up after themselves. I had Pella fiberglass windows installed in my old house and getting the new Wood Lifestyle windows with blinds in between the glass installed this week at my new house. We had our old house refinanced and the appraiser said he added 10% to the value of the home specifically bc of the New Pella replacements. We are extremely pleased with the Pella door. No more drafts and icing over of the door. It operates flawlessly. There were less expensive choices we could have made, but we held out to get a Pella product. It was the right thing to do! My son-in-law has done lots of construction work, including many projects in our house. He recommended Pella. Well, I agree with him that Pella is great!!We needed a new front door. I looked for one that was contemporary, beautiful and would let a lot of light in,. I found exactly what I needed. Its also quite an advantage to be able to choose not only the outside color and inside color, but is nice the colors do not have to be the same. Good choice of different knobs and handles to open door. The door is very sturdy too. It looks awesome!!!We needed a sliding glass door for the deck also. Again, we had a lot of choices. Informative without being pushy.The fact that both doors have a lifetime guarantee is the icing on the cake! I would certainly purchase from Pella again. Quality unsurpassed!

We took advantage of Pellas Financing Special and replaced 12 Windows in our home. Our home was built in 1968 and still had the original windows. We planned on doing all white, and ended up doing The Impervia Fiberglass windows in black, with white trim. They look AMAZING. Our sales rep, Brian, did a great job pricing out several different options. The installation went so well. I was expecting some issues (old house, old windows), but everything went very smooth. We have a couple windows that are cut off by a ledge and I was concerned with how these would end up. They did a phenomonal job insterting the windows and adjusting the frames. The installer also stayed late to help my husband decide on how to hang the blinds. I couldnt be more happy with Pella. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the work is of very high quality.

Pella did a great job helping us replace our lower level windows last fall. The installers were very efficient and cleaned up well after themselves, and our sales consultant Denny Van Langen was very helpful and professional. We were very fortunate to have Mark Amdahl with Pella assist us with replacement of our entry doors on a home remolding project. Mark’s extensive knowledge of the product and installation requirements allowed us a lot of flexibility in the selection process. Mark met with us at the Pella Store and through his excellent assistance, we selected a quality product with the style and appearance we desired. Mark and the contractor came to our home to confirm the dimensions before the order was placed. The delivery and installation went as planned and we now have a very attractive, high quality, efficient, entry door assembly that we are proud of.

When I built my house in 2009, the budget was tight. My builder at the time recommended I buy windows and doors from a cheaper company to save costs. The day my house was complete and even 10 years later, I have never regretted my decision to stick with Pella instead. Flooring and counters can be upgraded later, but my windows may very well last my lifetime in this home....and they are more beautiful and efficient than the competition. My windows and doors have held up well and Pella has been fantastic in customer service. Our rep, Brandon Klinge, was a friendly, knowledgeable professional from the start. He helped us address a broken seal a few years ago quickly and painlessly. He was a delight to work with and as much of an asset to Pella as their products. Pella isnt just superior doors and windows, but superior people. Brandon is the best in the business and could lead a masters class for other sales vendors in customer service and professionalism. Since building my house, Ive worked with several builders in my capacity as a Realtor and every one of them raves along with me that Brandon Klinge is the very best and the main reason they use Pella. Its refreshing in this world to have a product and company that I know I can count on to treat me right, provide a good product and service and stand by it. Bravo!

I started at the Pella Store in West Des Moines, they gave me Steve Schippers name and I left a message. Within an hour I had a call from Steve and an appointment to measure all the windows in our house. Steve came out exactly on time and measured twice to replace once. The 2 person crew (Bryan and Katie) came out to work for 2 1/2 days installing all 21 windows and 2 patios doors. Their work was perfect, no problems with installation or a mess to clean up after them because they took care of everything. We had such a great experience that when it came time to replace the front door - I called Steve.

Mark was awesome to work with! He was very attentive and made sure every detail was perfect. We replaced 27 windows Feb. 2018 and have not had any issues. Denny Van Langen met with me and measured all my windows for my house in Ames, Iowa. He took the time to give me the details of the windows and what the process of replacement would entail. He pointed out that their staff only install Pella windows thereby making sure that the install is right and by the Pella standard.The sales process and install was seamless. It only took one day and was on time. The energy cost for heating and cooling has been very economical for the cold Iowa winters and the hot summer we just experienced. I went ahead after replacing the windows and had my sliding glass door and garage windows replaced with Pella. Denny assisted me with that as well. That sliding door is gorgeous and the garage windows a vast improvement.Denny knows windows and the Pella windows are high quality and beautiful. I am sure they have improved the value of my home and will be there for many decades to come.
