The boba tea 🧋 was amazing! Love their tapioca pears (boba)! They need to improve on their online order system. Had to wait in line so long to pay for the online order. But it was a great sign for them due to the crowd in store :) Would recommended this boba place if you are in Des Moines area

I dont typically love boba but this place is good! I got a milk tea drink with black pearls and the drink was very good, the pearls were too but there was just a lot of them. It is a very welcoming environment and the cups are so fun!

Got several smoothies from here today. All of them were mango with different flavored poppers (boba pearls). Everything was delicious and made fresh to order. Staff was friendly and curteous.

Nice environment. The milk tea is good, but kinda too sweet. I don’t think we can adjust the sugar level.

It was kind of tricky to find because of the direction we came in from, but it is located near Drake University, so you can drink while touring! The place was clean and the moment you step in, you can smell the strong milk tea smells. I ordered the Hojicha Milk Tea and I must say, it tasted amazing! My friend ordered the Lava tea and that was delicious as well! The bobas were soft and chewy and both drinks were great. Would definitely recommend for boba lovers and new tryers!

This is a good place when you’re looking for a place to chill and catch up with your fiends. There are plenty of seats and some board game that you could use! It’s really clean here too !They serve ice cream and bubble tea here. If you love bubble tea, they do have a reward program that you can join and get free bubble tea after a certain purchase. The design of the bubble tea cup is adorable (the lid of the cup is a shake of panda) and you get to keep them ! The server was really nice and friendly. It doesn’t take too long to get your order too. My favorite so far is their match bubble tea with match boba!! Give it a try.There’s limited parking at the front of the restaurant. It wasn’t super crowded during evening time when we were there.

The actual products are good. The options are plentiful. Its a little pricey, it was really warm in there, ordering was confusing, & the employees seemed like they were all new. They were also out of their Thai tea ice cream base (in a bubble tea store?!). Im thinking a little better management would easily make this a five-star place.

Big fan of the Olong Rose Milk Tea and tried the Lava Tea this time around. Both were good. They seemed pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon so they appear to be popular.

Des Moines is slowing getting there with bubble tea. Not quite the west or east yet, but definitely not bad for Iowa standards. Very clean and offers a wide variety of drinks. Reasonably priced and taste great. My only qualm was that it felt like my drink was gone instantly as I felt like it was heavy on ice. If you have peanut allergies, probably try something else as everything is pretty much out there. Overall, great!

I dont even know of any other places to get Boba on the DSM area, and this place is great

The staff was very friendly! They have cute cups with nice lids... Mine was a cat lid 😺. Also the experience of watching them roll the ice cream was new and exciting for me, and the finished product was beautiful!

First Boba shop I have ever had in 2020, its my go to recommendations for drinks/Boba ever since, and I am in love their mango smoothie with the black pearl.

Love this place, boba are always excellent but lately the cashier service has been poor. As if i was a problem to him by comming in to the store. Please have a better attitude.

Well this is the Best Boba Tea in town/midwest! So many flavors and toppings. Their ice cream is tasty too! So many choices! Theyre able to put fruits in your tea and boba too! So many different kinds of boba! The best is golden boba... Orange Jasmine Tea with golden boba is my favorite!🤤

We bought Thai Ice Tea and Lychee Lemon Green Tea with Mango popping 🥭 Both of them were good. I specifically liked the Thai Ice Tea 🍹The best thing about the drinks are it’s packaging. Very cute bunny lid containers 🐰🐰🐰

Drinks taste OK. Our orders were messed up multiple times, and sometimes they don’t add black pearls automatically (it was a 30 min wait, kinda sad). Place is comfy, though.

In the past, I’ve had a couple problems with this place. Including very slow service, and my black pearls not being served fresh (rather hard not chewy). I can definitely say 8 Degrees Ice Cream and Boba has improved. I am very satisfied with their service especially during the pandemic with everything going on right now. I am pleased that they have pick up in the shop/curbside pickup. If anyone is looking for a place to try boba, definitely come here in Des Moines to try it out. My current favorite drink is the Hojicha milk tea with black pearls, and coconut jelly! :)

Ive had the smoothie bobas a couple of times and they were delicious! Id have given five stars but they actually forgot/cancelled my boba once? I had a couple of orders and none of them had boba in them. They were still good and I was in a hurry, and we found it more funny than upsetting. I still cant wait to go back!

I love that they have a sign saying no mask no service. It makes me feel safe. Also I got a drink that had a hair in it and I honestly wasnt going to return it because being a cosmetologist and cutting hair basically hairs get in our food so it doesnt bother me and we just eat it 😂🤭 but my friend told me to return it and they were very nice about it 💛 So I recommend this restaurant.

These drinks are so awesome!! The Lava Milk is delicious!! Warm but yet cold. Lavas hot right? Good stuff. The smoothies are so very good.. Mango with Strawberry popping and mango jelly.. Undescribable taste!! You have to try!!

My first experience with bubble tea was a memorable one. I quite enjoyed both times Ive been there since. 5 dollars per drink seems costly to me, but its on par with other similar drink places such as Starbucks, and probably even cheaper. I will likely revisit in the future.

Lots of options to choose from, I usually grabbed milk tea variants. Boba is usually a bit too chewy for me but the drinks arent too bad. I prefer other restaurants and brands outside of the Des Moines area which may not be a fair assessment given the general lack of competition in the area.

Plenty of options and this passion fruit green tea with lychee was great!

The store was clean. I got Hojicha milk tea and I would not recommend to get it. They charged extra for less ice and no ice, which I disagree with this since I have been to so many boba tea places and this place was the first one that charged you for less ice. If you prefer stronger taste of tea, then this place may not be the place for you. I got crystal boba and it tasted fine.

They make the absolute best boba and I return again and again because I just cant get enough! Their rolled ice cream is also something you should try because its delicious too. If youre looking for a nice treat to cool off or some boba to sip I highly recommend going here.

Wow amazing place! Their bubble tea cups are nothing like Ive ever seen with a solid quote on it. Its absolutely gorgeous and efficient. Vibrant, relaxed environment.One thing I noticed was how long it took to get my order even though there was no crowd in the store. I waited for a solid 15 to 20 minutes before I got my bubble tea but it was worth it.

This was a fun place to stop into. It seems to be family run, and I was tickled to support a local business. The tea was really good and it came in a plastic cup you can keep. Very unique and cute place.

No matter what I order, its always delicious! And they dont skimp on the pearls/boba either!I truly appreciate the safety precautions they take when it comes to COVID19 as well! This place is definitely by far one of the best Boba bubble tea places as well as their rolled ice cream. I got the Matcha milk tea Boba - not too sweet just perfect- and I also tried the strawberry, mango, and peanut butter rolled ice cream all very amazing and fresh. I thought that the price point was very reasonable considering how much effort they put in their products. Will definitely be back! :-)

I have tried boba nationally and internationally. Their ingredients are really fresh and their business is precise with hours and always notifying customers about hours of operations. also great positive attitude from workers. highly recommend strawberry green tea. great spot to hang out and meet up with friends.

Being a foodie and experiencing boba& rolled ice cream... 8 degree is a map setter!! You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients and it’s superb!! They know what they’re doing and appreciate how artistic they make the rolled ice cream. Super fun staff that will guide you through picking drinks and questions!

Very busy when I went, but I still got my drink in a pretty good time. I was kinda upset I couldn’t change my drink (for example I wanted strawberry milk tea but could only get regular milk tea) but what I got was still yummy! Will definitely go back here whenever I’m in Des Moines again!

Friendly staff, clean and open spaced area for casual talking, and drinks are made with fresh fruits and are really flavorful. Pricing is perfect for the product. Highly recommended!

Really good bubble tea! Went here to grab some Thai ice tea and ended up having a lot more.Very clean and cozy place (can get noisy when crowded) and economical. The cups are very nice and the options are plenty! They have options for the sugar quantity which is a good thing. Ive had much sweeter bubble tea before.The matcha wasnt exactly great, but the Thai milk tea and some signature flavours like Groot were on point!

Its good that they have strict mask rules, they do curbside too.

Have tried the rose, signature, and oolong milk tea with both popping and jelly. The discord were all good but varied. Signature was a sweet plain flavor. I personally enjoyed the more herbal flavor of the rose. Atmosphere and employees were both great.

I tried the classic milk tea with coffee jelly and black pearls. Overall it was good, but really sweet. Definitely recommend getting low sugar if you arent into super sugary drinks. Prices seemed a little high but not ridiculous.

For not having many bubble tea options in Iowa, this one is good. Nothing compared to bubble tea Ive had in California or even Minnesota.

First off I’ll talk about the positive experience here. I love love love their boba! There’s so many choices; drinks, toppings, ice cream, etc. The atmosphere makes me want to stay there forever!Unfortunately I found a hair in my ice cream :( Accidents happen... but it disgusted me. next time I visit that wouldn’t be a problem3 star!

Well, the price is a bit more expensive, but I think it is okay to try. I bought signature milk tea 2 with topping black pearl, crystal pearl, and egg pudding, but my drink didnt have crystal pearl in there. It was kinda sad because Im not from Des Moines, Iowa, and I do really want to try the crystal pearl, so I hope yall can check it before handing it to client.

Quaint shop near Drake campus. Not much parking. Nice area to walk around. Kind of pricey.

Good ice cream, great boba, milk tea is stupendous, and the atmosphere is nice, they have even have jenga, and cards to play. The way the rolled ice cream is made is cool. I get the berry one, definitely a place you should try.
