Walked in and immediately loved it. Super clean, not too crowded with products like other souvenir shops in Destin. Staff was super, super nice. Special shoutout to Andrew, you’re awesome and thank you for my bracelet. I got my two best friends matching bracelets and then wanted one for myself. Andrew was able to message back on FB messenger and give me all the info I needed AND sent me a free bracelet to match my friends! I had somehow forgotten to get myself one as well and was disappointed when I got home and realized. So thank you Andrew for being such a nice pal and making my day better. 10/10 would recommend this shop

Very overpriced and the staff did not know their inventory I was looking for a moisturizer or after burn or something for too much so they said they didnt have anything and we walked by it if we were going out the door

Everything you ever wanted at a Beach store and then some more. Prices are pretty decent and merchandise is very good quality. It does get packed. Lots of deals if your into buying a few items, but there is something for everyone and name brand designs.

Visited the store on July 3rd 2019 in the evening me and my child wanted to get a henna tattoo. They said no one was there to do it. We left and came back July 4th at 9:45 am went to the back again where u get a air brushed shirt and we were looking at the book of tattoos. The guy doing the air brush ask if we want to get one I said yes is someone here to do it? He says yea me u are looking at him. What sucks is he is the same person that told us the day before that no one was there to do it the day before. Then when I pick what I wanted he got huffy and acted like he didn’t want to do the one I want. Why have the option to get this if u don’t want to do it and your customer service sucks. I’m from the area and also work with the public that’s just crap service. Close done u don’t care about making money for the things u sell there. U should be better to the people trying to buy from your place we can go anywhere to get stuff. At some point people won’t come there.

Seemed very good when we checked out, but came to find out that they charged for a few extra items. Upon coming back to see what the extra charges were, we were notified that it would take around an hour for another manager to show up to help us figure things out. The store overall was very well- organized with good merchandise but customer service could use a tad bit of work. Not much other negative on this store.

READ their response to other bad reviews, it shows the level of professionalism to start off. They ran my card and said it was void, then turned to me and said it was declined and that I should call my bank. Called my bank and they said there was no sign of transaction or being declined and that it was probably on the store’s end. Got home and saw that they hadn’t even removed the anti-theft device from the bathing suit. At that point I just wanted to return it but they don’t do returns, “only exchanges” and “bathing suits are final sale” (they didn’t remove the anti theft device so I couldn’t even wear it the day I bought it, and tried to return it the next day) Overpriced to begin with.

One of the owners was working at the register and he was just the nicest guy ever! He even let our 3 year old pick a toy! The best place to get all summer clothes and beach clothes and blows away any other tourist store in fashion. The staff is excellent, most importantly family oriented Owned by the kindest people you could ever meet. Then next to it get your car wash at executive car wash next to it. Also owned by beach zone. You will not get any better swim wear and clothes by any other tourist shop but beach zone. 100% fact. Enjoy your shopping

I have been coming to Destin Florida for 5 years. I always visit my favorite store Beach Zone. It is always very organized, great merchandise, great prices, friendly staff. The young lady at the register was very nice and helpful with great customer service. I cant wait to visit their store next year when I come down to visit

Had tons of hermit crabs in a tank with NO WATER. If youre going to sell them at your shop, take care of them! Not to mention the 6-7 of them that were dead for quite some time.

Best customer service we experienced in our week long stay in Destin. Owner greets all who enter. The store is well lit, clean, organized and decent prices on all items. This was my 3rd trip to one of the beach souvenir shops and by far the best experience. They also give a military discount, just ask at the register. Ill definitely be back and recommend to all my friends. I will never shop at Alvins Island EVER again.

Products were good but they lost out on an extra few purchasesb from me because of one of the employees.

My favorite place to buy bathing suits, flip flops and Costa Del Mars! They have the best selection! Plus the staff is incredibly helpful and sweet. Id recommend both locations to locals and tourists!

As far as souvenirs shop goes this is definitely my favorite one. The store always has multiple sizes and so many choices to choose from .

This was our first stop in Destin and we purchased a couple of things while waiting for check-in time. After visiting a number of other surf shops we realized that there were many higher quality items at better prices at other stores. I called to see what the return policy was since it wasnt on the receipts. They said exchange only on anything unused, with tags. I thought Id see if there anything else we might like better than the items we originally bought in haste. When I got there, I was told I could not return or exchange the unworn swimwear (that still had tags fully in tact). When I explained that I had called ahead intentionally to avoid a situation like this, the clerk asked me a bunch of questions about who I talked to then hollered across to the other end of the counter. I was so embarrassed, I asked the lady to just give me the stuff back so I could leave. She told me to hold on and yelled across to the other end of the counter again. I had to raise my voice a little before the lady would just hand my stuff back to me as I had requested. I left the store so embarrassed. Then I called to speak to someone about the incident and the person that answered the phone said I was only one that raised my voice or made a scene. I would not recommend this store if youre looking to have an enjoyable experience.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!. Bought (2) 43” Body Boards for my kids.. $75 purchase. The boards began to bubble up and peel apart in the sun PRIOR to use. I promptly returned them to see others behind the counter with the exact same issue so I simply ASKED FOR A REFUND, RECEIPTS IN HAND. They girl running the store said NO and even went on to tell me she didn’t know how to do a refund on the Credit Card Machine. She even acted shocked until I pointed out the others just right behind her.. She then admitted they had a bad shipment. While she was back peddling with me she had a store associate take all the bad boards to back, quickly. MORE DEFECTIVE BODY BOARDS -OR- STORE CREDIT ONLY. ****BUYER BEWARE**** Just take a look at the OWNERS RESPONSES - ITS ALWAYS THE CUSTOMER! Wait til you see the website I will put up for Beach Zone.... this way I can tell my side without someone calling me a liar. The pics and vids will speak for themselves and your time to rebut will be NEVER.

I have never been treated like a thief so bad in my entire life. My wife, two friends and I just enjoyed a nice dinner at longhorn. Decided to go to beach zone to find some souvenirs like normal people do. As I walk through the door my wife my friends and I were put in the (thief zone). If you have a problem with theft you should obviously hire somebody to look at cameras and watch people in the store not follow them around, and stare at them that is called harassment. I fully support a store owner protecting their merchandise I have no quarrels with that. But the way that old lady went about it was undeniably harassment.

The staff isnt friendly at all and the way they keep their hermit crabs is horrendous. There were a whole lot of dead ones outside their shells probably because of dehydration, there was no water and all dry sponges in their enclosure. It was an awful sightEdit: dont listen to the owners response this was most DEFINITELY the store I was at. Anytime anyone gives them 1star review the owner tells them theyre wrong and were at another store, what other store I do not know. Also, I wouldve told someone who works there about the crabs care but anyone I came across was busy with someone else, they werent the most approachable staff anyway.

Tons of t-shirts and other apparel, lots of tourist-y gift items, and plenty of beach gear. Good prices and friendly service. We went to other local stores, but this one was our favorite. 😊

Cant speak to all their products, but the overpriced beach umbrellas we bought broke and fell apart within a few minutes of opening them. Know also that this store does not take returns. Do yourself a favor, at least when it comes to chairs and umbrellas: drive down the street to Alvins Island or Sunsations. Its not far and you will find better quality items.

Came here with my fiancee for vacation. Poor customer service, cashier wouldnt give us the time of day. The clothes selection was size limited. Everything was very over priced. Went to return a few items and they informed they dont do returns. No sign specificifying it. Walmart down the road had everything that the store had for a quarter of the price.Edit: Since Google does not allow replies to replies, here is my rebuttal. I believe the owner has me mistaken for someone else. Firstly, I went to Beachzone on Monday 8/13/2019, for the FIRST TIME, at approximately 1:30-2pm, and the attempted return was less than an hour before I posted this review, 4 days from purchase and well within return policy as stated. Next, the items in question stating that they were returned soiled and torn. They were a trio of tank tops, from their OUTSIDE display of 3 for $10. They did have a small white sign on the registers that stated All sales are final on swimwear, and when my fiancee mentioned she wanted to return the tank tops, was abrutly told they dont do returns, only exchanges. She hadnt even taken them out of the car, let alone tried them on and soiled them. After looking through almost all of their tank top options, she found very few in the size needed. I have read through other reviews and there seems to be a HIGH number of unprofessional replies to the negative comments. There have been other individuals who have had similar experiences, each one attacked in a similar manner. As someone who has done a fair amount of work in the customer service/retail business, I do not appreciate the owner personally attacking me and accusing me of lying. Would highly recommend shopping elsewhere because of how the owner and their employees handle business in dealing with customer reviews.

If you are looking for any beach items or even a souvenir when on vacation in Destin then the Beach Zone should be your first and last stop.

Got a real nice beach umbrella for $14.99. I had gotten another beach umbrella not nearly as nice from Winn Dixie the day before for the same price.

The young lady helping my daughter and I with bathing suits was really sweet and helpful. The older Hispanic woman was very rude at checkout. To the extent we walked out without purchasing anything. I wont be back.

We bought a few things here..most of it usual tourist stuff since we were on vacation. The lady waiting on us was very indifferent whether we were helped or not and a little rude to my young son...i would go somewhere else next time.

Me and the family enjoyed it very well organized store great instock and good selection. Also I noticed all the employees smiled and greeted me which is something you dont see alot these days. It is a well managed store and a great place to shop I would recommend stopping by when in Destin.

They were blasting hardcore rap which had a lot of curse words- I told the staff and although they changed it they did not apologize and had a very bad attitude. We will shop at one of the other 1000 shops in Destin!

This store sells your typical beach souvenir items as well as a huge selection of clothing including well-known brands such as Aftco, Salt Life, and Life is Good. I enjoyed the large selection of Destin t-shirts and feel their prices were good considering the shirts were Comfort Colors brand. The owner was friendly and even offered us a discount on our purchase. This will be my go-to store for Destin t-shirt purchases.
