While I was visiting my daughter at the Eastern Market I started to feel like the shoes/sandals that I was wearing were starting to give out on me. Thank goodness for the existence of this phenomenal shoe repair service. It is obvious Moe is a skilled cobbler! He worked effortlessly at repairing my shoes and they were good as new. He did a great job! I will definitely recommend this business for all your shoe needs.

Terrible customer service came back to get my shoes and they couldnβt find them ! Itβs awful that I had to leave this type of review but it needs to be said ! VERY DISAPPOINTED. I wonβt be returning tried to get a refund at the least and the girl was very rude about it I will never bring my shoes here again . Came today to pick up my pink crossbody purse and was very please with the repair. Brought in my daughters Birkenstocks to get the soles replaced. He did the replacement while we did our shopping in Eastern Market. That in its self was amazing. Him and his wife give amazing customer service. This is not my first time visiting their small business. I will not use any other shoe repair business.

Not only were they expertly repaired and revived, but he stained my heels and soles darker (to my preference) and added clear taps on the heels and toes. I had two pairs of shoes that were in need of repair. One pair was sitting in my closet for years and came apart. The owner inspected my shoes and was able to repair them as if they were new. The other pair was a pair of boots with the a loose sole. The owner was able to glue them back together and shined them. I now have two pair of shoes that have been in my possession for ten years that look like I just purchased them today. Thanks again!
This husband and wife team provide TOP NOTCH service and exquisite skill in the area of shoe repair...their craftsmanship is reminiscent of a bygone era- I recommend their services to all. Mr. Draper escorted me to the heated shed where I waited a brief time for him to fix my boots right then and there! These are my favorite boots- I wore them so hard the sole was worn through. He put a toe guard on each boot, completely resoled the boots and gave me new heels- all in under a half hour! Their prices are unbelievable! The quality is even better now than when I first purchased the boots 4 years ago. Thank you so much!
I took two pairs of boots to be repaired to this beautiful couple and they greeted me with so much grace and openness. I was scheduled to pick up my boots in November and couldnt make it there to pick up before departing on a long out-of-town trip. I also didnt call to ask to hold them for me thinking it was okay and I would pick them up when I returned in January. In reality, I didnt make it back there to pick up the boots until March and they graciously and patiently worked with me to identify which boots were mines after so much time has passed. In spite of their 30 day policy, they hold on to my boots and sifted through their extensive storage collection to identify them. I made it just in time before they were about to throw them away. I am deeply grateful for their grace, patience and understanding. We need more businesses like these in our community!

OMG, I was so thankful to see Detroit shoe repair across the street, and they were able to make my uncomfortable boot, more comfortable by fixing the lining on the spot (a service they typically need more time for), and were able to accommodate me so that I could make my event. I had brought my red doc martens to get the cracks filled, was upsold to a sole replacement. This was on October 13. I paid the deposit of $50 and was to pay the remaining $100 at the time of pick up. Over the course of the next few months i went almost every weekend to check and see if my boots were ready and they were not. My deposit was refunded, but this was still quite a hassle. There were multiple occasions that I was told that my boots were going to be ready but were not when I showed up. I was told what was being done with my shoes or why they werent ready that day (first pair of docs in the shop that needed to be resoled), but that doesnt make up for the lack of communication before I had made the trip to the shop. I understand that things happen and stuff like this takes longer than anticipated, but it would have been nice if a more proactive approach was taken. I finally got my boots on January 30.
I went to the place on Lafayette but they burned down, so I googled this place drove up, and they took care of me right away. Took care of my heel taps while I waited in my car. Great service!
