This place is awesome!! They have all of the latest equipment, really good classes and they are super friendly. I love the location—it’s super convenient to my job and very easy to get to. And, the trainers, especially the owner, are great. The right mix of knowledgeable and tough. So happy I made The Wise Decision. I’m gonna be ready way before bikini season!

From first glance, it’s a very clean gym. I’ve been to a lot of nasty gyms in the past and this one is definitely well kept. The owner is very friendly and attentive to the needs of the members. You kinda get the “family” vibe in there. All the equipment is up to par compared to some of the larger gyms. The location is great being close to downtown. Overall, I love this gym and I recommend to beginners and experts.

Great location and not over crowded. The classes are a great price compared to a lot of other gyms. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They also offer corporate programs which my company did and they have some great options to fit your groups goals!

Sterling is an Amazing Trainer. If you are looking for a professional training experience, I highly recommend him. He was referred to me by a close friend. I am so thankful that she recommended him. He is worth the 5:30 am workouts! 🙂

I have been to the Wise Decision several times and I must say that it is quite different than any gym or fitness facility I have ever been to. The Wise Decision preaches from a premise of life changing behavior and not necessarily getting in shape or loosing weight. This singular focus and attention to detail from their trainers on how we must change our lifestyle in order to stay in healthy while having the bodies that we want is what make TWD a truly special place. Whenever I am in the Detroit area, I waste no time in booking appointments. I can almost set my watch to their services.....

Sterling is a great trainer. He challenges my body to do things I didn’t know it could.My results:I hit my goal prior to my timeline.Sterling keeps me on track with eating well and encourages me to do better.I look forward to being sore after our workouts.

Great gym to workout at if you are near the downtown Detroit and Indian Village area with it being super close to Jefferson. Has all of the equipment to do my workouts and the classes offered are an added bonus.

I love the way the facility feels. It’s open, bright, and fully equipped. The staff is great, and as a fitness professional, I can tell you they are knowledgeable when it comes to the body. I was a regular at another gym and after one session here, my mind was changed and I never looked back.

I started working out at The Wise Decision about 2 months ago and will never look back. The equipment is great, and the gym is welcoming to all fitness levels whether your just getting started or already in great shape. The staff is amazing and always present/willing to help out. They have free parking which is a big upgrade from the gyms downtown. If your looking for a place to workout in Detroit there is no better option than The Wise Decision!

This is an awesome gym - has all the equipment I was looking for and more. Its very clean, professional and well-maintained. So glad I found it!

This is a much needed facility in the area. The summer boat camp allowed you train on the river walk and contemplate your poor food choices (lol) looking at the beautiful water. The workout is amazingly challenging but you feel great after accomplishing the task. The owner is dedicated and has genuine concern for his clients. The gym set up isn’t intimidating and makes a girl consider lifting weights. It’s a great place to workout and to feel supported by the entire staff.

The Wise Decision was indeed a wise decision . The facilities are top notch and I received expert training from Sterling Wise. He was able to tailor several work out plans that are helping me reach my fitness goals. If you are in the Detroit area I recommend a trip to the Wise Decision.

I have worked out with Sterling for about 1.5 years and its been a great experience. He is great at coaching not only in the gym but with regard to improving eating habits. The gym is great - brand new equipment, everything is clean and its conveniently located with nearby parking. Id highly recommend the facility and Sterling personally.

Im really not a gym person and I wasnt in the best shape to start out. So I was a little hesitant at first. But when I found out they offered private sessions, and the price was reasonable, I was all in. Im starting to see the improvement in myself and i like it. Totally recommend it.

I started training with Sterling and The Wise Decision almost two years ago. I already had a pretty consistent workout schedule, but Sterling helped me to step my game up by designing monthly training plans that fit my schedule, coaching me in cleaning up my diet and challenging me in one-on-one training sessions and with regular check-ins to monitor my progress. Ive found Sterling to be a reliable, consistent, knowledgeable fitness coach who listens to my concerns and goals and hes demonstrated his commitment to helping me reach my fitness goals. I’ve been training here for about a month now and I’m so glad I made the switch to the wise decision. The gym has squat racks, free weights, cardio equipment and a turf room. The gym is clean and the staff are friendly, welcoming and always present to answer questions. I’ve been waiting for a gym like this to open up in Detroit where it’s off the beaten path from the traffic of downtown. I would definitely recommend the wise decision and supporting local independent businesses.

Great facility, great location, great staff. All the weights you need, plus kettle bells, ropes, everything for the beginnier to the serious athlete. The turf room is a great bonus, one of the only turf rooms in the greater Downtown area I believe. Highly recommended.

This would be a great place to work out, but the lack of shower makes it a deal breaker for anyone hoping to workout before they head to the office. Hoping they finish their renovation soon!

I started training here about 4 months ago. All the staff are incredibly friendly, and very helpful. I started as a real novice, well overweight/obese, and completely clueless as to how to fix it. Sterling has helped me with nutrition, at home and in gym exercise plans, and individual work once a week. He designed a program that fits my schedule, my situation, and my life. Ive dropped 65 pounds since we started, and feel great that I can keep up with my kids. Any person, of any fitness level from the most clueless (me) to the most athletic should check this place out. Im certainly glad I made the Wise Decision.
