Believe it or not this place has the best tamales around. if you dont believe me go check them out. Ive had so many different varieties from restaurants and prince valleys tamales are by far the best Ive ever had. theyre stuffed with lots of meat and are not all dried out. Also their spanish rice is very tasty too. Amazing sweets and cake selection .

I ordered a cake here 3 days prior to when i needed it and they kept me on the phone for awhile to confirm my information. They even sent me a number so i can send a picture of the theme cake i asked for and my information. I was assured there was no way they could mess this up but i was wrong. They told me I couldnt have a tres leches cake due to the way the cake is built so then i asked for half chocolate and half yellow but i only got chocolate and it wasnt even the cake i wanted and the theme i chose was one in their books. So disappointed.

Prices are extremely high compared to other local markets in the area & DONT go to MetroPCS they have the most *UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, INCONSIDERATE Customer service workers i have Ever dealt with in the past 10yrs being a MetroPCS customer! The lady is lucky i had actually Called that day instead to be Face-to-Face, the way she spoke to me was Enough for me to be Happy while taking ALL my anger out on her all @Once!!

There cakes are amazing!! Beautiful design. The store is nice and big. It could be cleaner, especially the parking lots . Mexican bread is okay. Simple. Lots of seasons chicken, steaks, reasonable price for the neighbor. Make surre you double check your doors when you get out sometimes bums and people hanging out. The store owner should do something but it good. Place to shop.

The picture is not mine. But it is the most updated look for what to expect when you arrive. They used to have their bakery section with closed doors that are now open with prewrapped and priced baked goods. The good side of this is that is is more sanitary for the shopper and that you know how much items are before checkout! The down side is that you now have to buy 2 or more items instead of one. They still have day old goods for quick sale which still taste good and cheaper! And cakes of all types with beautiful flowers (icing), fresh fruit and and ribbons and glitter. If you need something or desire something specific please order in advance. They now have a nice to go carry out warm food area in the front and a variety of raw meat in the butcher area in the back. Please be mindful that you should be a little aware for the different varieties of cuts and seasonings of meat they carry so that you can an have a delightful culinary experience at the table as well. They have done well with their remodel including their payment center as well. I bought a Piña Colada cake as a festive fiesta at my job. It was like a milk cake as far as the moisture and the texture was fluffy. It was sweet as expected yet there no coconuts on the cake. The icing is more like a light whipped cream unlike the texture of a store bought or homemade icing/frosting. Travel safe with it as well, it can shift in the vehicle. So me mindful when buying a cake here that the texture may not be what you are accustomed to eating. But they are beautiful to look at!

Prince Valley is a neighborhood staple. The owner is so nice and down to earth. In the summer they do car shows and barbecues with music and things for the kids. They have great deals on meats. Love prince valley!

On the plus side the supermarket have made a number of remarkable improvements. The market can boast an excellent bakery and deli. Unfortunately, the prices for every day products are almost 45% higher than what would typically be paid at a supermarket chain. However, I would pay for the 45% difference if only I received the same courteous customer service that I have witnessed being received by Mexican customers. As an African American customer most times I am not greeted. At the Prince Valley Bakery, an older worker overlooked me standing in line to wait on the Mexican customer behind me. It was as if my money wasnt as green as theirs. Most cashiers would not assist me in bagging my groceries. In one situation, while waiting in line, I noticed the cashier assist with placing the grocery bags into the shopping cart of the Mexican customer. I had more groceries than the previous customer but did not receive the same assistance when it was my time to check out. I decided to complain, but there was no change. So I made my change...to Kroger further down Michigan Ave.

Always clean and well stocked. The bakery, especially the cakes, are to die for!!! Ive never liked cake, but these are spectacular!! Store staff are polite, friendly, and helpful and the majority are bilingual, English and Spanish. Very convenient, being close to our house and hours are very reasonable. Recommend to anyone in or around the Southwest Detroit area, even if theyre just visiting!

3 stars because its a clean friendly place. Food is fresh bakery is great. Dairy milk and cheese in fact all dairy is very high in price. Also grocery are high in price. Taking advantage of being few groceries store in city. So we only go if we really need something. Better of making drive to Meijer or Kroger for groceries.

Cozy yet spacious. Something you have to experience for yourself. Stop by and grab a bite from their new kitchen while you there. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu. A couple months ago. They had a promotion, if you purchased more than $50 in store. You get a free cheese pizza. If that isnt enough to draw you in. The rhythmic sounds playing in the parking lot when you arrive will.

Fresh veggies and pastry. I love the cheese rolls. And told my friends about it. Friendly atmosphere.They have recently open inside the store a kitchen with roast chicken, pizza, pork ribs... all fresh and tasty.Employees at the pastry section are very clean.

Planned on shopping but 1) I could not reach the hole for can deposit. I did get one can in but it was kick out. So I just paid my bills and left. Glad I went when it was daylight because their was oil all over the parking area. It was like a minefield. Didnt want to track that mess in my car or the house. Someones car may die soon though.

Price Valley Market is a gem of a grocery store in Detroit. The employees are helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. The selection of products is just incredible! Their shelves are always stocked and their prices are really reasonable. They have an excellent selection of meats and desserts. Stop by if you havent, you wont be disappointed!

The coin machine, dte kiosk with the metro pcs is awesome, but I do think this store needs a new financial advisor because of the prices being as high as they are . The average local around your area makes no more than 350$ a week . The value of the property around your supermarket is low . Meaning your own people must be driving somewhere far and causing them more stress during their day .

This store has most everything you could want. I particularly like the hot foods, the deli, but most of all the delicious Bakery. They have a great produce section. Their meat department is large and also supplies Hispanic desire the cuts. You wont be disappointed by Prince Valley.

Ground Turkey is always fresh and you get more for your money. This is also the only other place that i can find Parker House Sausage other than the Eastern Market. And the Bakery Dept...is truly the best!! 💛💛💛

My review is the for the cake department: i ordered a cake 2 months prior to my event and also paid for it beforehand. a few days prior to pick up i call to confirm everything and i am told they have no idea what i’m talking about and my order cannot be found. i was on the phone for an hour, constantly repeating my name, last name, phone number, the event type, etc. i was told multiple times that my order was “found” when they were actually wrong. finally i was told that my order was set up for the wrong date which i believe was a lie and excuse, i seen the order form and the correct date was on there. still not feeling 100% content.. i also sent my mom IN PERSON to confirm that everything was going to be okay for saturday which they assured her it was. the next part i take partial responsibility for.. i sent my husband to pick up the cake and didn’t see it until the event. the cake was NOT what i asked for. i specifically asked for an ivory cake with ivory, pink and blue flowers and to my surprise it was all blue. even after the huge headache they still managed to mess up my cake. i have been ordering cakes from here for 2yrs for multiple parties but i will no longer be a customer of there’s.

Great store and merchandise! Love the meat there and cakes are the best in town! Their bakery does get 5 stars. But their rude cashiers get 0 stars. Although they change often and some are very nice but those that are nice never last long! Been shopping there for about 8 years! Always recommend them! I do miss when they had grilled chicken outside.

Customer service is great. Clean in an out management makes you feel like family. One stop shop pay bills, buy cell phones, play lottery, fresh meat counter and order from bakery, but small liquor selection order. Always smells good when you walk in.

This is my favorite market in the whole city! Its very clean, the people who own it as well as their workers are so helpful and welcoming! They have a wide selection of the freshest meats, fruits, vegetables, and pastries. They have a service center as well which can serve most any of your needs. Needless to say that I LOVE THIS PLACE! SO STOP BY!

Store has high quality everything. Unlike the market down the street. The owner is super cool and has some beutifull girls working for him. I live across the street and go every week for the food and the gorgeous women.

I never shop here, ever. I usually shop at the bigger name brand grocery chains. Well my daughters birthday is coming up in one week and my go to stores will not make the cake that I want. I dont want to go to a regular bakery or a custom baker since they like to charge outrageous. Well this bakery welcomed me and is making the cake that I want! One of the bakers helped me with frosting colors and cake flavors, im ecstatic and I am so happily looking forward to seeing the end results. I will post again with my final thoughts. I think I will start grocery shopping here too. They seem to run a lovely little grocery store.

Good business just be careful in bakery the cookies and cakes are behind doors and self serve. Some people will take trays and not tongs provided and touch the cookies with dirty bare fingers and hands then put them back. That was a grown up not a kid. Then smile if you say something and keep doing it. Other than that the place is okay.

Store manager was really rude, and their bottle machines are terrible. If you put in 20 cans it might take 10 of them. And then half the time they dont want to take them at the service desk even though they sell the product, and that was the store managers call Ive had that happen two or three times. So I really wouldnt suggest going to this place unless youre just going to grab a couple things.

Place looks nice but your location does not reflect on your prices . You price things like if you were a Kroger in the middle of Grosse Pointe but this is a local market that should offer something that seems like a deal to its local customers . Instead most of your items are the same price as the liqour store down the street or the gas station to the side of you.

Every time something is marked down or on sale. It never rings up on sale at the cashier. And a lot of the products are overpriced. The bakery uses powder milk for the Mexican breads, which make me want to puke every time I smell it. Just paid for $4.68 for two Ocean Spray juices that were supposed to be on sale two for $6. I rather go to Meijer o Walmart.

The shop has undergone massive renovations over the past few years. Now, it has a mini- Post Office, bakery, tortilla factory, Metro PCS kiosk and an extended meat counter. The store can even bake high-end wedding cakes. They hire almost exclusively from the immediate area. That means many people are getting the opportunity for their first job from the store. It also means the staff sometimes is a work in progress, but is a great tradeoff considering all the shop does in the community. The owners son is on the board for a local school, they hold numerous free parties for children in the parking lot and are hit up regularly for donations by area community groups. The store even has a massive, multi-cultural mural painted on an exterior wall. Sending money is never fun. But at least you can feel good about doing it here. The shop could have moved to the burbs and didnt.

Best place to get cheap Hispanic groceries. They have a place to exchange bottles into money. People who want to try Hispanic pastries are in luck. This place has little cards with the ingredients that are next to the pastries incase of anyone having a allergy. The staff is always nice.

LOVE THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCE. This was the first time I tried their ribs did they make there and they were great. their rice was a little soggy. Seems like the prices for the stuff I buy like tortillas, cheese and stuff have gone way up from what they were before. I dont live near here so I only come to the store every other month. I wish i could more often. Its got a cute little dollar section now which is great I bought quite a few things from there. And its great to see all the Mexican brand products that they carry. Went in there for three things and walked out with a wagon full.

The owner is a wonderful man. And he is always doing upgrades to his store to always keep the customer satisfied and happy. He always has the best quality meats, produce and products.

Poor customer service, the cashiers will talk about their personal lives and pay no attention to what theyre ringing up and everything is ridiculously expensive. Almost was charged double for several items. E&L or garden fresh are better even walmart.

Nice grocery store. You can get a lot of business taken care with the post office, metro pcs, customer service desk, and many kiosk in the store. If youre lucky theyll be passing out coupons for your next visit.
