Walked past this store this morning walking my dog. I stopped in just to grab a water and discovered a wonderful Detroit bodega. The owner was so friendly and I’ll definitely visit again. I would give 6 stars if I could.

Food is always good. They accept EBT, makes it a hot spot. Was there last week. Youll got to do better then this. Mold in the fridge where the sell fresh fruit and boil eggs. Be better

Ive been going to this place for years and its really good. I dont go here for grocery shopping... I go here for the food. Everything I had here was always good beside the fries and the inside could be nicer. I would highly recommend you try their chili cheese dog, its that good!

Hit and miss on nice employees, small space, needs better drink selections and needs consistency on when it opens.Now the Gem is the deli, had a Honey Turkey sub(Even though Im almost certain it was roasted Turkey He gave me) for $7.99 and the bread was super soft and just an overall good sandwich, plan on stopping by to get another sub soon.

State Deli & Grocery is an amazing establishment. I have no idea why previous critics said the food was terrible. The salads are fresh, the gyros are huge, and everything is made to order, served up hot. They have a little bit of everything, too.Furthermore, the guys who work there are extremely personable and friendly.I live blocks away from state deli, and go there multiple times per week. Dont buy in to what previous haters said.

They should take grocery out of their name. The store is just a tiny cubicle with packaged gas station style food on the shelves. Its more of a convenient store that offers decent food made behind the counter

Dont eat there its Dirty and smells Bad

Good place for a little pizza or a whole one, as is the philly cheese. But my favorite, though cannot eat it as often is the delis selection of meats, by pound, half, however you like.
