Recently purchased a few items from Kuiu. A merino tee shirt, a base camp sweater vest and a Guide All Season jacket. The vest and jacket are nicely made, appears to be great quality, however the outter chest pockets are small wont even accomodate my Galaxy S10 Note phone... given that many people are using their phone as a GPS unit and camera i find it wierd that no one at Kuiu had taken that into consideration. I also feel that a size L is on the small side. Cuffs on the guide jacket barely fit over my wrist and im what i feel as being average size 6 0 193lbs. The tee shirt should also have a chest pocket, went hunting an warm condition occur i find a tee shirt with a chest pocket comes in handy to hold things. ie Rande finderAnyway, was really excited to try this brand out but was let down on the lack of thougt that went into the design and that all items are smaller that std size.I also noticed that No one from Kuiu has replied ti any of the reviews, even the good ones to say thank you. Last reply i can find was on a review from 2 years ago.Ill probably keep the items i purchased as i have read several poor reviews on getting refunded. Firstlite makes awesome gear and their customer service has excellent reviews....
Great help as usual. Limited size so limited customers allowed inside with Govt. Orders. Worth the wait. Some left instead of waiting 10-20 minutes to get in store.
Always super helpful. Had an issue with my pack and luckily was kinda in the area. Swung by and the pack was expertly setup. Customer service is top notch. Doing what I can to help a local business and they did an awesome job helping me.

Great gear and customer service is second to none, incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable. I am 65 and athletic with broad shoulders and long arms. The XXL was a great fit, while the XXXL was perfect for layering. They now have some tall sizes in pants, too. I highly recommend this store.

Absolutely love the gear it has held up for me in the worst and roughest of conditions. Kept me dry and warm when I needed it the most. Thats the positive now onto the negative. I dislike how if you order a piece of gear online you cant return it to the store???? Customer service is very hit and miss talking to a representative over the phone for the most part has been a pleasant experience and Ive received legit help with my questions. The store in Dixon on the other hand is literally the worst when it comes to customer service. No one ever offers to help and if they do feel so inconvenienced to answer one of your questions its usually the shortest answer ever then they turn and walk away absolutely no people skills. The individual who sits up front looks at you when you walk in then goes right back onto their phone. Good thing you can order gear online because if you were forced to go into the store and make your purchases you would never be back and would go with a competitors brand. Ive contemplated changing brands due to bad customer service only time will tell. When you are spending this kind of money I would expect more from a high end hunting gear store.
This was a great surprise. The outside appearance lends nothing to the awesome setup of the interior. Damion was extremely helpful, all of the staff was friendly, and everything was easy to find. I had a lot of questions and Damion was honest and quick to give effective answers instead of just upselling unnecessarily.

It would be nice of them to update the audio recording and the website to reflect the ridiculous holiday store hours. Drove an hour to the store just to find out they’re closed.
I ordered a 7200 pack from their KUIU World Tour trailer and was met with great service and fitted perfectly. I was told that the pack would be 2 weeks out which at the time I understood. I called them on the following Monday asking if they could possibly send it earlier since I had a backpacking trip coming up. I received a phone call asking if I still needed it ASAP and It was on my doorstep 3 days later..great service and quality.... So good in fact I just ordered a 15 degree bag.

Ive had the same issues as other people have mentioned. Materials seem to be higher quality, but stitching and durability are not that great for what you pay. Sizing with almost everything is to small. Also, customer service is non existent in my experience. Ive sent multiple emails and have never received a response to any of them. Id save my money and purchase from other companies
This is TOP quality gear. I know you pay a bit more but this stuff is worth every penny.Ive taken my Alpine pants through some pretty thorny stuff in central Texas and they come out like new every time. They are quiet too. I stalk in them. HIGHLY Recommended!!!

The very best outodoor/hunting apparel that you can own! Period. From someone who shops around and tries out a lot of different brands. Kuiu is the best IMHO. BUT their order fulfillment and shipping times are really poor. Sometimes it takes 3-4 days AFTER an order has been placed....for it to ship. and even then the tracking information is nearly incomplete (no eta,s or status) until the day before the package arrives. Not good for a brand that lives on product delivery across the US!
The products are good and getting better every year. They are also getting more expensive... As for as this store goes, the employees were very friendly and helpful. Id have a lot more of their products if they had a store within 200 miles of Salt Lake City though.
I see a lot of reviews for the products in this section but I would like to review the store. The store is probably one of the most awkward retail stores Ive ever been in it took two visits for the clerk to warm up to me and it was awkwardly silent no one was talking there is no music nothing that along with blacked out windows made it a little eerie but they did have all of their products on display and a fitting room and exchanges were easy.
I will remove this comment if they make it right. There are many 1 star comments below that deal with a similar issue. You think they would address it. My wife ordered me a Ultra 6000 pack 30% off for Christmas for which I had to return for replacement. My size was not in stock so I was told that when they became available the price would be honored. I waited until June because this pack has not been available. Thats right. I was loyal to this company, patiently waiting from JAN until today, 7JUN. Guess what happened. I see online today that the packs are back in stock (customer service never contacted me). I called. They wont honor the original agreement because it is now past the grace period. They dont realize that their decision cost them a ton of profit. I have bought a lot of expensive items from this company and would have continued to do so. They can still make this right and Ill delete my post. RA20930

Excellent gear from a great company that puts customer service first. The service team at KUIU answered all of my questions, provided helpful suggestions, and went above and beyond to make sure I was making the decisions that would suit me best in the field.
Husband loves the brand, but I’ve had to repair his kuiu pants after normal wear because they are poorly made.The fabric is very nice and high quality, the fit is good, but what does it matter if cheap thread/poor manufacturing is used? My husband doesn’t seem to mind based on his love of the brand, but I think if you are paying over $100 for a pair of pants, there should be a reasonable expectation for them to be well-made and last without having broken seams and broken top stitching. These pants were made with hunters in mind, yet can’t handle normal wear.Side note: Make sure you get your order right the first time...you can’t make any changes to your order and they don’t combine shipping on orders.
Great product but unfortunately, they have bad customer service and are not clear in their promotions. I was emailed a coupon code for free shipping and $$ off if I purchased a certain amount of product. After I submitted my order, I noticed that the $$ off and free shipping was not deducted from my order. I immediately contacted KUIU and was told that I did not read the fine print. I told the customer service rep that the email that was sent did not state anywhere that the code could not be used on discounted merchandise. She stated that the fine print was included on their website. She even admitted that they have had several people complain that it was not clear enough. So, I cancelled my order. The next day I noticed that KUIU had not only charged my card for the order but had charged it twice for the order I cancelled. I will not purchase from this company - too many issues, sadly.

Just had my delivery of Kuiu gear arrive today. Everything is as specified and fits really well. All the garments look and feel great. Excellent value for money even with the import tax to the UK. As for customer service, I made a mistake when ordering and the extra money I paid out was put back into my account straight away. You cant say fairer than that. I cant wait to get out hunting at the weekend and try it all out.
Ive been hunting for many years and my rain gear from other companies has always left me a little wet. I wore my new KUIU rain gear during the Houston rain storms a few months back and was completely dry. The zippers under the arm pits helps to cool you down during high activity times. I have nothing but good things to say about the customer service on my four different purchases, and one return for credit. I just placed an order yesterday and the service was excellent!! It cant be just good luck on four different purchases.None of the products I have purchased have had any defects. The sales person that helped me out at the Dallas Safari club show gave me plenty of time to try on different grades and different sizes of products before I made up my mind. I cant wait to try out my back pack this fall in Alaska.
Great design overall. Excellent pricing.Returns policies are tedious.Zippers on all jackets could be bigger and more robust.Zip pulls are cheap and too small.To work the pit zips, you really need to remove the jacket...............!A synthetic insulated vest would be a nice addition to the line

If I am getting ready to drop $2K with your company I would like a discount. If I need a pair of pants I shouldnt have to wait for a 20% sale.

The products maybe good but I have never experienced custom service as bad as this company. Placed an order and will be sending it back due to that fact. They may be cutting edge but I have my own business and info treated my customers like they do I wouldnt be in business.Will never order from them again. This is being written by someone that always tries to find people doing the right thing. This company has no idea.

Ordered a pair of mittens and my credit card got billed twice (unless perhaps EACH mitten cost $107). It took forever to get through to speak to customer service. A very nice lady told me that one of the charges was a pending charge and should go away in a couple of days. And if it doesnt, I should call my credit card company. Seriously? The charge is still there and I assure you that Visa is expecting me to pay this. Now I have to call KUIU back and sit on hold for 10 minutes and try to re-explain my case. Oh wait, today is Saturday. They dont have customer service on Saturdays.Save yourself a headache and buy Sitka. Lilys dad, Bryce.Update; after 2 more phone calls Kuiu discovered mistake and made appropriate credit to my card. The situation has been resolved fences mended.
Purchased a Chinook jacket. Wasnt too impressed with the material. However the jacket was nice but had various issues getting a refund in timely manner and help from customer service. I did receive a follow up email later about return
Update: Been a couple of years and I largely switched over to Sitka gear. I think it is just made better and seems to fit better. I do love the KUIU attack pants though.Love the products but the customer service...not so hot.I wanted to exchange a shirt for another size. KUIU had the other size in stock. Told me I had to re-purchase the other while shipping the first one back. Really? Who does this. REI and other outdoor retailers allow exchanges for different sizes. Products are top notch, sized a bit trim on the cut and pants you will want to go up one size from regular pant size.I hope the service improves, or it might spell doom for this company with superb products.
Ive bought 3 jackets from them while trying to get the right size and had to return 2. Never got my money refunded, They were never worn. And the shipping is slow! Terrible customer service! Its been a week since i ordered and hasnt even been shipped yet. Back to sitka i guess!

The cloths are great for dealing with hot/cold, hiking and sweating issues. They are light weight and pack easily as advertised. However these products are only as durable as anything else. I hunt in Nevada where the terrain and weather is brutul. Much of my Kuiu cloths and gear have wear and tear. Also, The colors do not match between product lines. Beware when you mix and match. I almost always have to wait for the products I want because they are always out of stock. Worth the money and worth the annoying wait.
I went to the store in DIxon and bought the Teton line up. The store was nicely laid out with clothing and accessories, of course you get a bit of selling. I think its because your looking into some high tech materials which cost a bit more but I can say they perform well as a layered system.I used it this year in the John Muir Wilderness deer hunting and was dry and warm, I may get another shirt though.

Apparently two day shipping really means five days. Nothing but obfuscation and corporate double speak from customer service. Big mistake ordering from Kuiu. Too many other equally good manufacturers in this space to put up with lousy service.Update: Kuiu did refund the charges for two day shipping. Unfortunately, I was on a snow covered mountain elk hunting when the shirt arrived at my home. Nice shirt though.

After reading a couple of reviews regarding slow/poor customer service I felt like I needed to pipe in. I was seriously impressed. Ive made a number of orders and if something didnt quite fit, they gave me suggestions of sizing and different products. I even got a hand-written thank you card from Mari, their customer service rep. It made me feel like they actually cared about how I liked their gear. Can you name ONE company that does that?!? Ive got the Attack Pants, Guide Jacket and, Peleton 240 full zip shirt and I couldnt be more impressed with the quality. They have an amazing athletic fit thats VERY comfortable.
Great selection of all of their gear in the Dixon showroom, if you can make it, I highly recommend coming here in person for a customized fitting and consultation. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, it is now the only hunting/outdoors gear I use.

Purchased a pair of their $37 socks. These should be rugged and lasting.Used the supplied size chart and a bit small but after one washing in cold water no longer over the calf no just barely crew length.Typically over hyped and over priced product from this company.
Lifetime Warranty? Try again! If you want a truly lifetime warranty, stick with Sitka or Badlands. Kuiu refuses to honor their end and stand up to the poor workmanship of their products. Ive now had 2 down products that were over $300 each, which ripped from simply wearing them around the house. This is supposed to be high-quality outdoor gear. Think again. You will absolutely regret purchasing many of their products, and their customer service is the worst Ive ever experienced in this industry. Instead of respecting their customers they push you away. Having worked in business for years Im well aware of how much more expensive it is to get new customers vs keeping your current ones year after year. Apparently Kuiu didnt learn that one in business school. Back to Sitka I go!!
Well first time buyer last time buyer never order or will recommend kuiu ever again poor customer service left a voicemail to have phone call back no response basically I put an order in yesterday wanted to cancel this morning it has not been shipped or has it been picked yet from the warehouse but they will not refund until I receive the item and send it back which is going to be a three or four week process save a lot of people out of time and money just cancelling the order before it even leaves the facility but they will not do that $760 order not just $100 purchase but like I said I will never do business again I will never recommend this company again you talked to two different people and you get two different excuses why they cant cancel itCustomer service is important guys you guys have a lot of one-star reviews which is not good on your behalf theres a lot of great companies better companies out there looking for other peoples business Sitka for example I would hope you guys straighten up and be honest with the consumer because your website stress is how you guys are great customer service and set the bar higher for Quality material for a cheaper price yeah its cheaper but youre also getting cheap customer service which is no customer service

Checking out at closing time person was very impatient much more interested in getting out of there instead on the $1,200 dollars we where spending and customer service, could really learn from wilderness archery . The store is nice gear works well .
Went in to the walk in store yesterday. super helpful staff. The lady that helped me was very knowledgeable with their products in helping with options for what fit your hunting conditions. Couldn’t be any happier with the gear I purchased. If you have the ability drop by the store and see all their gear in person and talk with the people in store it’s well worth the trip! Note to purchasers online. A lot of the gear runs small for example, I’m 6’2” and normally wear 36in waist I’m 38 with kuiu and normally a xl jacket but I went up to xxl just because it fit me a lot better.
Horrible customer service, when I called to cancel an order in process, the gal there basically sounded like she hated her job and told me that I couldnt cancel because the order was already sent to the warehouse. So when the order arrived I immediately sent it back and Im still waiting for the refund. Am currently on hold to check the status, and I keep getting bounced from the 1st caller in the que to the 5th......been on hold for close to 30 minutes. Good product but pray you never have to return or exchange it

I am finally done with Kuiu. Kuiu is style over substance...Sitka is far better and worth the extra $s. I really wanted to like this stuff but I find myself either returning it or not wearing it the following year. Chinook jacket is a classic example. Great idea but poor execution: no velcro or elastic on the sleeves and pit zips make it stiff and uncomfortable. Jacket and camo pattern look real cool but it just didn’t fit or feel right. Don’t get me started on the pack I bought....there is a reason they don’t sell it anymore. Tiburon pant is nice. Have yet to wear the attack pant but seems nice too.
Staff has the product knowledge down pat, and can answer any questions you have right off the top.
Some of their gear is very good, some not so much. I have pants, a jacket, some wool shirts, and a boonie hat. Their shirts and the hat are the best products I have purchased from them. The pants are not very well designed and their puffy jacket has a minimum of insulation. Items are frequently not in stock with no projected delivery date on the website. Overall, the quality is not as good as Sitka. You get what you pay for.

I honestly never write reviews and I really don’t want to write this one. But hunters need to know what products are worth the money and whats not.Guide pants and jacket = well-made product that lasts and keeps you warm and dry. My family has really been impressed with it on late season elk hunts.Chinook pants = the worst purchase. Firstly, the pants are more money. Secondly, after hunting for three days I had five large holes in the butt. This is after doing basic things like hiking and glassing. I was wet the rest of the elk hunt. Dont waste your money on the chinook!The worst part is Kuiu customer service. They didnt take the pants back. I offered to exchange them for a cheaper pant. I offered to pay the freight. I even asked for just a repair kit. They sent me to some warranty department (waste of time).I like this company and think they are making SOME quality products. But it’s too bad they dont stand behind their product.

I have purchased an entire line of products over the last 3 years. I have had two situations where one of the products was defective or broke the first time of use. The customer service on both events was very poor and they definitely dont want to replace anything. Honestly, I have spent over $2000 on gear in the last 2-3 years. The one pair of pants had a seam issue and I noticed it after the first weekend on a turkey hunt. It took multiple arguments, emails and a return to just get the pants replaced. The Leki trekking poles I purchased and used in NWT another issue. The first ascent on day 1 of hunt, One of the poles broke. I called to send in for replacement and of course they dont service them...just sell them. Mari was quick tongued about letting me know it was my responsibility to call Leki. I called Leki and they are having me send them back for evaluation and replacement. Hopefully they stand by their product. I just think a company selling high-end, expensive gear and direct marketing to the public should have MUCH better customer service. If I had to do this all over again, I would look hard a Sitka gear and their return policy.
So far I am waiting 4 days for a response and have sent a second request, while I have been a big fan of kuiu products to date my latest alpine pants have not lived up to my expectations and there lack of follow up in the promised allotted time of 1-3 days (which is really slow) has still not been addressed.
